907 W Moana Ln, RenoI purchased several fish from this shop a few months ago for my planted tank. I just wanted to write this review solely for the Snowball Amano Shrimp + Zebra Spiny Eel. They are AMAZING. I love these little guys and didn’t think I would enjoy them, but they are so comfortable in this tank that they will hunt bloodworms and fly across the tank. It’s awesome to watch, and I even witnessed one molt at one point which was so cool to see. Since then all of them have molted quite a bit and grown. I will be back! I took this photo right before cleaning the wood don’t judge lol

Bone-Ito - Shop for Dapper Dogs & Cats

I brought my TYM (John Deere and Kobota parts) tractor to them for repairs.While it is taking longer than any of us had hoped, they have been very easy to work with. My only disappointment is that I've had to call them for information more often than I would have wished. It would have been nice if they had called me with updates more regularly

The staff is outstanding, the products are top notch and this company picked up the tab for our local animal shelters FOOD DONATIONS after PetSmart and Petco canceled giving extra food for the dog and cats so corporate staff could have more $$$$. Once that happened, I vowed to only give my money to Pet Station. I'm so thankful for the wonderful staff and I've met the man who started this amazing company, he actually really cares, he's a good person and the people who work at Pet Station are simply excellent. I always recommend this place whenever I can, so this review was a long time comming. I highly recommend Pet Station ~ any location is excellent, but this one is my favorite. My dog Sasha sends her love!!

902 S Wells Ave, RenoLast year I adopted a senior dog who, coincidentally, used to be brought here for 7 years by his mom who passed away. My boy is (we think) a Cockapoo and is EXTREMELY difficult to groom. He won’t stay still, thrashes around and gets very loud/growly when his paws and butt are touched. Ellie has done an amazing job with him!! She’s been so patient with him, especially since he was described as being one of her most difficult grooms ever. Ellie has always been very communicative about any issues that came up during the grooming, all while being very kind and not at all judgmental. I cannot recommend this salon enough, especially Ellie if you want someone you can trust to take care of your difficult dog.

The groomer takes her time and pays such great attention to detail to make sure he looks his absolute best every time.
What I love most is how much my dog enjoys going—he’s never nervous or scared, but actually excited to see her, which says a lot about the care and kindness he receives. The facility itself is clean, welcoming, and in a convenient central location. On top of all that, the prices are very fair for the quality of service.
I highly recommend Hand to Paws to anyone looking for a professional, caring, and talented groomer.

He was heavily abused in the past so is extremely fearful, and Jamie has been incredibly patient and accommodating in getting him used to being handled and groomed. It takes so much stress out of the process for us knowing that he is in great hands. Her patience with him and her guidance throughout the process has been next level.
We are so incredibly grateful to have Jamie here in town and would recommend her to anyone. She always does a phenomenal job with our dog.

This clinic is the only one that does such an amazing job of managing his stress and gives sane counsel. I cannot recommend the entire staff from top to bottom more. They are kind, thorough and very respectful of both the animals and me as a human who now stresses as much as Apollo does getting him through the system.

Our Catahoula was pretty good with us at home, but when we were out, he was just not able to get over his reactivity to other dogs and sometimes people. He had also started resource guarding around my youngest son and, honestly, our family thought we would not be able to keep the dog we had raised from a puppy. He had no where he could be boarded and suddenly I thought I couldn’t quite trust him even with a house sitter. I was devastated, but I didn’t give up. I found Stand Proud and my almost 4 year old dog and I met with the owner, Brandon, and told him all about everything. Brandon was compassionate and really seemed like he understood what was going on, and he believed he could help him, and us. We signed him up for a board and train. He learned how to calm himself and gain trust and confidence when nearby other dogs and people. When he came home, they came to the house to teach us what he had learned and gave us instruction on what to do and how to handle situations moving forward. Even though not everyone was totally on board in my home, we worked through it, and they saw the difference in him as I practiced more and more.
The access to the follow-up group classes and pack walks really cemented everything he (we) learned. Now he wants to meet everyone he sees and he can go anywhere with me. It’s truly amazing and people who walk by us always comment on what a good dog he is. He can look and sound very intimidating, but he has learned to control that and just wait for me to allow him to greet anyone. I can have him off leash just about anywhere we go.
We can now board him at their facilities and are confident that he will be loved and well cared for. He even gets to play with all the friends he makes, in a safe and controlled environment. They keep it in small groups and are very present and on top of anything that comes up, so they are safe and happy. He is happy when we drop him off and when we pick him up. He never looks back, a sign that he really feels good about going there.
The staff are very good and knowledgeable about so many different types of dogs. They really know how to address any little thing and are very good at teaching the owners how to understand, recognize, and handle various types of situations and maintain control of their dog. Both the dog and owner are so much happier with each other, both gaining more and more trust in each other.
The communication with the staff is also very prompt with any requests or questions. They are flexible and understanding and are really there to support you.
The support that this training facility provides for their customers is amazing. There are follow-up classes and lessons after the initial training. The classes are informative and help you fine tune your handling of the dog, or tune up anything that you are struggling with. The dogs really respond well to the classes. My pup gets so excited that we are going to class and I really notice how they all learn from each other as well. The trainers tailor the classes based on which dogs are there, so you really get a personalized training, even in the group.
As the dogs advance, they provide even more challenging content and even have fun outings like beach days or going to a restaurant. All the while, they give you little tips and explain what’s going on and why it’s happening. The growth and learning never end.
I can’t say enough about how much they have changed our relationship with our dog, and his with us. Thank you so so very much, Stand Proud!!!

My dog would always jump on people when they walked in and she always walking me on our walks lol. I love this training program because my dog stay at home with Monica and Monica was able to put in the work for us! Ezzy came back home with confidence and now has a steady baseline when we go out! I am so excited that I am able to take my dog places and not be fearful of not having control of her! I would recommend this program to anyone! It truly is great!

She has very thoughtfully designed this specific class to allow a group class with strategic placements to ensure that all the dogs are safe and comfortable to learn. Throughout the six weeks we learned so much and have seen real improvements in Winston. Now we have the skills to keep working with him even after class has ended. Joanna was great to work with- she’s super knowledgeable, very positive and reassuring, and generally just a pleasure to be around.

The Cat Chalet
6160 Mae Anne Ave Suite 3, RenoToday we took our Beautiful, senior kitty to Cat Chalet for her first visit there. Susan gave Mitzi a nail trim which was complete in 5 minutes or less. I felt comfortable with Susan, and could tell she has much experience. Mitzi was not the least bit bothered by the situation.
We will bring our Mitzi back again and maybe try the boarding.

Dog Gone Amazing Dog Training and Boarding
700 E 4th St #D, RenoI cannot recommend Dog Gone Amazing enough! We have two Siberian huskies. They are known to be stubborn but sweet and hard to train. Dog Gone Amazing turned our dogs into the perfect little ladies. We can take them off leash, we can take them to the farmers market we can take them to dog parks and have confidence in their training. The boarding as well is too notch. We take long trips and know the girls are loved and cared for. We have been to many training and boarding facilities in both CA (northern and southern) and many in Reno and Dog Gone Amazing wins hands down. I must mention the staff too! Makaila knows how to hire! Betz, Heather, Dustin, Bailey, Kay, and Gillian are like family to our girls! Can’t give them all high enough reviews.

Easy location in south Reno off the freeway it’s a short drive off Veterans, coming from Sparks and Northwest Reno. First stop as you get into town from Carson. Staff is so sweet and accommodating and goes above and beyond every time. Parking is easy and lots of seating inside and out.

811 S Center St, RenoStumbled onto the Taco Shop tucked away in a funky Midtown alley, and it’s exactly the kind of hidden gem you hope to find.
I went with three carnitas tacos loaded “with everything,” and they did not disappoint. Each one was piled high with perfectly seasoned, tender pork, fresh cilantro, and diced onions. The salsa verde brought a nice kick and tied everything together without overpowering the flavor of the meat.
Washed it down with an ice-cold tamarind Jarritos, which hit just right.
The whole setup is alfresco with picnic tables and umbrella seating, giving it a laid-back, off-the-beaten-path vibe that actually adds to the experience. Simple, unpretentious, and all about good food.
Definitely worth tracking down if you’re in Reno.

119 Bell St, RenoI have no words. I had been emailing Krista since last year preparing because I knew my baby's time was drawing near. Communication is too notch. Any questions I had- answered. Accommodations - met. Dr. Green was very patient with our family as we said goodbye. I appreciate the in home services. I wanted my boy to be as peaceful as he could be and he was. Most of my human family has passed on and I must say the compassion, empathy and overall care for not only my sweet boy but my family was next level. I didn't experience such compassion and care when my mother passed. So, when I say just how sweet all the staff were , you just can't imagine how blessed I feel to have found this place. I'm not sure if it's customary or not but the condolences note we received from Dr green just made me ball like a baby. Thank you again for all you do it takes a strong soul to be the arms that can carry the weak when we need it.
