“I normally do all my own work, but this time it was beyond my ability. Two other mechanics quoted $3500 for the repair. Then I set an appointment with Dominic (the owner). He was very easy to talk with, respectful and knowledgeable. He gave me a very competitive quote for the diagnosis (about half that of others). He researched and investigated the problem, explained what he would do and what my options were. I did as he suggested and completed the repair in about 2 hours and cost about $100 in parts. He really knows his stuff and is out to help his customers. Imagine if everyone was this honest and helpful!!Thank YOU Dominic!”

In fact I am still running the Ghia on an engine he rebuilt about twenty years ago and is still performing well. Really knows what he is doing when it comes to air cooled VW's. All kinds of experience to include building racing engines. When you find mechanics this good, you hope they never retire. I wish I could get him to work on all my classic cars but he pretty much specializes these days.”

“I'm so glad I found this place. I spent four months taking my car to other shops for a hard to diagnose stalling issue. Everywhere I went would perform minimal diagnostics, suggest thousands in parts and labor for things they weren't sure about, or just act like it was an unsolvable problem. Luckily I took it to Allen's, they are lifesavers. When I called to discuss bringing my vehicle in, John was more confident and reassuring than any other shop I talked to. They did not disappoint. They did more driving and testing in the first two days then the other places did in a week. In the end this was an issue that took a lot of time and effort to figure out, and John kept me posted every step of the way. These guys know what their doing and won't overcharge you. Highly recommend.”
