The Dog Spaw of Freehold
8 Thoreau Dr, FreeholdWent in for a nail trim. Jillian did great. The woman at the desk was wonderful. However, a staff member, I believe her name was Jess, walked in after my fiance gave me my keys and went over to look at the gym next door. She came inside, started talking about him saying he was a creep and being nosy, and said “he was listening to my conversation and probably walked into the wrong place, that’s what you get for being nosy.” Extremely unprofessional, very judgmental, and I was standing right there. I will be returning, but specifically won’t be requesting her.

Raintree Veterinary Hospital
85 Village Center Dr, FreeholdWe’ve been using Raintree Veterinary Hospital since we moved to Freehold almost seven years ago and they have been absolutely wonderful every step of the way! When we recently had to say goodbye to our dog, Kala, they were nothing but supportive and compassionate, helping us through the process and making sure she was as comfortable as possible. We’re truly grateful for the care they gave our family during such a difficult time.

Central Monmouth Animal Hospital : Neil Bloom DVM
154 South St, FreeholdDr. Cavalieri and the rest of the staff at Central Monmouth Animal Hospital have been nothing but professional, knowledgeable and compassionate at the hardest time in our dog's life. I brought my dog, Ruby, in at the start of January after she had become ill and Dr. Cavalieri helped every step of the way with figuring out what was going on with her. Dr. Cavalieri personally checked in numerous times between appointments over the past month and a half to see how Ruby was doing, brainstormed different ideas, and talked through things when we received our heartbreaking diagnosis. When it came time to say goodbye to Ruby, the euthanasia process was explained each step of the way to assure us that Ruby was not in pain at any point in time and gave us time to grieve. I cannot thank Dr. Cavalieri enough for everything that he had done throughout this time for Ruby and our family and will forever be grateful for the care and compassion that he provided. When the time comes to add a new puppy to our family, I will absolutely return to Central Monmouth Animal Hospital as I could not imagine going anywhere else. All testing, procedures, appointments, etc. was extremely reasonably priced and not in any way exuberant like other veterinarians charge.

Freehold Animal Hospital: Sadowski Doreen DVM
3700 US-9 South, FreeholdAfter founding out my cat Olette was pregnant, she gave birth days later and one of the newborns needed a very delicate reconstructive procedure after he was breeched and momma tried pulling him out. Katie (tech was also AMAZING so comforting knowing I had her throughout the chaos) told me to come in right away without hesitation. Let me tell you... Dr Connelly was so patient and precise, closed up most of his wounds I was completely astounded by her skills (he has a great prognosis so far as a newborn) I was frequent this week, the staff knew Olette by name and the communication (I had 3 different vets) were all in sync for her care plan. The girls at the front desk were very patient with me as I paced around for hours LOL until after they closed. The VCA app I highly recommend to message any of the vets for any questions. They are all so passionate about what they do. Thank you everyone!!

Freehold Animal Hospital
3700 US-9, FreeholdI can’t say enough amazing things about this office and about Dr. Connelly. From the moment you walk in, the entire place is spotless, professional, and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. You can tell they truly care about both you and your pet.
Dr. Connelly is honestly one of the best vets I’ve ever met. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and always takes her time during each appointment. She never rushes, explains absolutely everything in detail so I fully understand what’s going on, and gives such helpful guidance. She also doesn’t make you feel overwhelmed and she breaks everything down in such a clear, calm way.
One of the things I appreciate most is how easy she is to reach, even via text. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing I can reach out if I’m worried or unsure about something with my cat, Boots. She always responds, always cares, and always goes above and beyond.
Finding a vet you trust is everything, and Dr. Connelly truly is exceptional. I’m so grateful for her and the whole team. Boots is in the best hands possible.

Ramen Nagomi
5 W Main St, FreeholdThis place has the best ramen, on par with places at which I've dined in NYC. The ambience is very pleasant - minimalist decor, open seating in the front and more private seating in the back. Hosts are typically very friendly and knowledgable about the menu. It's very clean inside as well. The only critique I have for the interior is that there is only one unisex restroom, which I've always found annoying (but it's kept very clean in my experience). I've gotten several varieties of ramen: shoyu, tonkotsu, shio (pork), tori paitan, burnt garlic... I've tried the truffle butter and miso crab (bites from my dining partner). My favorite is tori paitan, then tonkotsu, then shio, shoyu. The broths are delicious! Full levels of flavor and smoothness/richness. You can tell they're slow-cooked. The pork belly is lusciously delicious, tender with just enough fat. They give you a good portion of 3 pieces. Noodles are awesome, nice and springy. The toppings are also tasty and just the right amount. Portions are large (I can never finish). I love the soy sauce egg, always cooked well. I'd say the crab was my least favorite, as it is imitation crab, and for some reason, the broth soaked up much more into the noodles than the other soups. Burnt garlic is next least favorite - the flavor profile just wasn't right for me, can't place a specific reason but it didn't taste too great. Truffle was super rich and creamy (too heavy for my taste, but definitely good). Other tidbits - the cucumber sunomono salad was good, as was the fried gyoza and the fried squid. Prices are pretty on par with other ramen restaurants in the area. I will always come back here for a good lunch. Remember - street parking is paid, so don't get a parking ticket like I did the last time. Free parking is behind the building. Enjoy!

Romeo’s pizza Italian American
177 Elton Adelphia Rd, FreeholdA fantastic family run Italian Restaurant with a nice atmosphere and consistently delicious food. Pizza is a classic, but when it comes to sandwiches I recommend the Montague (a breaded chicken and roasted pepper sandwich) and the meatball sub. All of the staff and the cooks are amicable and welcoming.
I recommend signing up for their benefits so that you can get discounts and coupons.
The restaurant has a decently sized menu and someone could likely find anything they want to eat.

Texas Mexican Restaurant
3 W Main St, FreeholdCarne Asada That Hits Different
This place is the real deal. You walk in, and the smell alone tells you you’re in for something good. The menu’s got all the staples—al pastor tacos, enchiladas, tamales—but let’s be real: the carne asada steals the show. Juicy, smoky, perfectly charred—it’s the kind of steak that makes you stop mid-bite just to appreciate life.
Get it in tacos, a burrito, or straight up with rice, beans, and a side of sweet, caramelized plantains. That combo? Absolute perfection. Add some house-made salsa, and you’re golden.
The owner? Always there, making sure everything’s on point. The staff’s friendly, the place is spotless, and the whole vibe just feels right. Bonus: it’s BYOB, so bring your favorite drink and settle in. If you’re looking for a solid, no-BS Mexican spot, this is it.

Soho Ramen
21 W Main St, FreeholdWas looking for some ramen on a cold day with friends so decided to check out this place. We were sat right away, it wasn’t very busy although it took a while to get our orders taken. There is a lot of options on the menu and they have a lot of non-ramen options and appetizers which is nice for groups who want different foods. The waiter that took our order was nice but a bit anti social, maybe they were new when we went, not a big deal. The music they had playing however was a little inappropriate and was the explicit version of songs which wasn’t an issue for my friends and I but there was a table with children so I was surprised. The ramen was decent although the broth to noodle ratio was a little off and the pork was chewy but had decent flavor. I’ve never had fried shumai before, only steamed so I wanted to try fried this time and it was crispy and nicely packed. Would definitely come back to try some other items off the menu.

It brings me back to the original efficient 1st two when bubbakoos first hit the scene by the beach. We will drive a extra 10mins everytime for quality where the others closer to us fall short. Steak and shrimp was fresh and not over cooked. I hope they keep it up!

Tomasello Winery Tasting Room at Wemrock Orchards
300 Hwy 33 &, 100 Wemrock Rd, FreeholdMy friend and I wanted to try wine tasting for the first time so we went to Wemrock Orchards and it was the best experience we’ve ever had. Gayle was an amazing host!! She was so informative and patient with our lack of wine knowledge and she explained every wine with detail and even told us the history of Tomesello Winery. She was super funny and we felt welcomed as soon as we stepped into the tasting room. She was very kind and friendly while we tasted the wines and even gave us recommendations for wines we might like. 1000/10 experience I would come back here just for Gayle she was so sweet and definitely made the drive worth it. The shop is so cute too and they have so many cool locally sourced and crafted items, definitely worth checking out!

Sorrento's Subs
690 Park Ave, FreeholdHubs have been wanting to come here for a while, so we came here for lunch. We ordered the following and shared it: #4 Special - cheese, prosciuttino and capicolla. We forgot how much we love Blimpies and this place made us miss it! Sandwich was delicious and bread was nice and soft! We wolfed this down! Eggplant parmigiana but hold the cheese. We liked this a lot, as well. This place is split into 2 different restaurants. One for sandwiches and the other for breakfast. I think next time, we'll try the breakfast! Service was quick and friendly.

All Seasons Diner II
4135 US-9, FreeholdCame here for the first time for late lunch. I had a Taylor ham, egg white and cheese on a roll with fries and brown gravy on the side. It was a pretty decent sandwich, but think they use the cheaper pork roll. Wanted a Diet Coke, but they only have Pepsi so I went with raspberry iced tea, which was very good. And ordered a cheeseburger for my mom and it smelled good and she really liked it. The portion sizes were pretty good. And our waitress was very nice.
