Yasuda
579 Broadway Suite B, KingstonThis is a cute little hole in the wall sushi spot. The service was impeccable with my server constantly coming to check if I was enjoying the meal and refilling drinks. He even offered to keep my sake chilled in the fridge as I drank it so it didnt warm in between glasses. The spider roll was phenomenal you could tell it was made with fresh ingredients along with the crab roll. The spicy crab roll wasn't spicy but I love hot sauces and such so im not surprised it didnt hit my hot spot. The tom yam soup was delicious even though it didnt necessarily fit my taste Preferences. Overall im definitely coming back for the warm atmosphere and wonderful customer service should I find myself in Kingston again.

Sakimura Hibachi and Asian Fusion
340 Kings Mall Ct, KingstonSaki Mura was highly recommended to us for a hibachi and we can understand why, it was fantastic! Reservations are highly encouraged especially for prime dinner time on the weekends. The staff is very friendly and they are constantly moving about, checking-in, filling drinks, and ensuring we had a great experience. They aren't pushy and didn't rush us either. The hibachi dinner & chef experience was great, hibachi is one of those consistently great meals & there is so much food! We got lucky with great table mates and everyone had a great evening.

We had our rehearsal dinner here and even 6 months later anytime we come in they not only remember us but also our dietary restrictions. Something very special about this place. Heather Lesher is a one of a kind. Thank you Eliza!

First Capital Poké Bar
310 Wall St, KingstonI have a pretty insane poke bowl hyperfixation and First Capital Poke Bar is amazing every single time. I usually do a BYOB and it’s genuinely so delicious. My sister also has Celiac Disease and I highly suggest coming here if you can’t eat gluten, they categorize everything on their BYOB menu for that and there’s still many options for those who can’t eat gluten, which isn’t something you see a lot. I have a texture issue so I typically order crab sticks (not gf) instead of the chunks of fish. Not that the fish isn’t just as yummy but the texture really does bother me, if you have some similar issues i definitely would suggest trying the crab sticks or maybe shrimp tempura in your bowl if you can. I used to not be a huge poke fan because of the texture until I realized I could literally just change the protein and now I’m a fangirl.
For prices, poke in general is a more expensive meal, but i’d say First Capital Poke Bar is definitely worth it for the price. Looking from an outside perspective, $20+ for a bowl may seem expensive but for the quality and quantity I fully believe this is a well rounded price that is more than worth it to me! Especially as someone who has tried so many different poke restaurants, this is a very good place to visit and eat at!
