“This place has just about everything you need for your hardware wants. I love that it's local. They have everything from paints, to hardware, light bulbs, pet, lawn and garden and more! Definitely check it out if you are local before going to a big box store!”
“Burner Hardware store in Burnt Hills. This nook of a store is actually large. The isles (see pics) are full and the merchandise new. All the cabinets, floor, counters and shelves are kept primo clean. The prices are a bit higher than elsewhere but buying from a town shop, is always fun. A star removed for strange change of shift at like 2:50, afternoon. Review: 4”

“Kristine in the paint department was great to work with. She put a lot of thought into our preferences and took time to find good color choices. She even came to our house and then suggested colors that would blend with our existing trim, countertops and other features. She was prompt in her text and email replies. We would recommend her for anyone who is looking for help finding just the right colors for their home!”

“Staff is so friendly and helpful every time I come. Twice they have gone out of their way to really help me out! The first time one of the guys at the register took the time to assist me in finding the exact size of screw that I needed (up on a high shelf that I couldn’t see when I looked myself). Today the gentleman working there helped me to color-match the spray paint that I used on my shutters, so that I could buy paint for my front door. He wasn’t sure if it was going to work, but he was happy to try it to help me out. The color match was great, and it was so kind of him to take time trying something that might not have worked. Overall, excellent customer service and wonderful selection!”

“Home Depot is like a very large hardware store in my area for those who may not know what this place, it is filled with pretty much anything & everything that you could possibly think of. The only thing it isn't filled with is employee's which is the reason why it lost the star. I was able to find everything I needed, but it was because I had to search up and down each aisle looking through every little nook and cranny trying to find exactly what it was that I was looking for because I did not know this store. They do not have a designated person in one single spot they have people walking around all over the place and they always seem like they're too busy to help you. The store when I went in there did seem well kept, at least for a big Warehouse type of building and there was somebody going through while we were there washing the floors with a for washer which to me was kind of odd in the middle of the day which is a nice slip hazard, but if that's the way the company does their business then, to each their own. I would only ask that they would put more people into their departments, so that they would be able to get more help when people need them. I understand that this is a trying time but, even before covid-19 this was something that they struggled with. Overall though, it is a decent place to get what you need for your workplace, construction job, or home repairs at decent fair prices. So if you feel like there is something on your list that needs to get done this would be an excellent place start looking. Thank you so much for listening.”

“First, I must say I do not like to shop for anything. Lisa R made our experience relaxing and enjoyable. We made a decision to finish our renovations sooner than later, after our first meeting with Lisa. ( I have already shared our experience with 3 of our contractor friends.) You can trust Lisa to get the right products for your project, and honestly, you don't really need to show up at the showroom. She will handle the entirety of the job. I felt that she was on our "side" for pricing and cannot wait to see our finished project. Thank you for making this an easy process!”

“I am a very amateur, aspiring-woodworker getting my garage set up for some beginners woodworking so I went to Lowe's in Halfmoon Friday morning. Overwhelmed by the drill bits selection I must've looked lost because my savior, Lowe's employee Nick, noticed I looked lost and asked if he could help with anything. I explained I am just starting out to get tools i need to build things - I explained the specific projects and Nick hooked me up. He didn't bombard me with things i don't need, he was patient and spent what I want to say was a good 30-45 minutes with me, helping me choose drill bits because i had no clue what to look for. he suggested items and explained the difference between an impact driver and a drill (i had no idea). He didn't talk down to me or make me feel like a "silly woman doing a man's job" kinda way. Nick was kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. I appreciate his patience and time he spent with me. He kept asking what else could he help me with, until I finally let him go. That's the way I like to feel as a customer walking into a place. Thank you Nick, you're the man!”

“I was in the hardware section looking for a way to improvise a repair to my broken patio umbrella. Carl from Kitchens noticed my puzzled look and came over and asked if he could help. He was very patient and took plenty of time with me to gather the right bolts, nuts, flat and locking washers to make sure the solution would work. Carl, everything worked great and the umbrella is back in action! Thank you, Carl for your help, and thank you to Curtis Lumber for this valuable personal touch that is so often lacking these days. I heartily recommend Curtis Lumber!”
“Update: they've stepped up their game a bit over the past few months, and it's my regular hardware store again.
Lowes had been in decline for awhile in my opinion. I used to avoid home depot and I still do but that might change. Every time I leave an online pickup order from this Lowes there is always a problem and I have since stopped using this service. I try to go to ace hardware now and I only go here in a pinch. The customer service is sorely lacking and I prefer to ship elsewhere.”
