“I have been a customer of NTFCU since 2003 when they helped me open a free account after taking a seminar with them. They offer many classes and seminars that help with credit building which I have utilized over the years. They have also helped me with car loans and personal loans. Their loan application process has always been pretty easy. Indiana, one of the reps who always assists me, I feel always goes above and beyond to resolve my issues so 10 stars for her. I took away one star because they cap your limit to $2000. You can't make big purchases or else the card will decline. It been an issue for me, so if you constantly make big purchases I suggest going with a bigger bank for checking account.”

“Actors Federal Credit Union cares about their members. I have banked with them for 30 years and they have never failed me. I use their bill pay service and it works well for me. They also have incredibly fair rules regarding how much money you can have in your account, I haven’t incurred a fee even when my accounts have been low. They cater to entertainment professionals and they know sometimes you’re up and sometimes you’re down. You can easily talk to a human on the phone if you have a problem or a question. They make it feel like I live in a small town, and I like that.”

“This chase branch is the closest to the iconic Lincoln center. There were a couple of other branches in the vicinity that no longer exist. I joined chase because of a merger years ago with chemical bank .which had a wonderful branch across the street from Lincoln center on 65st. Chase customer service is good and the pay in 4 where you can split a purchase amount into 4 payments and once you enter into pay in 4 the amount is returned to you. And bundled your chase freedom credit purchases. This bank would've got 5 ? but I walked in here recently and attempted to deposit a 50 dollar Bermuda bill into my account and was denied not because chase doesn't take Bermuda currency but because this particular branch does not. The word is you have to search for a branch on your own to find a branch that you can deposit that currency.”

“I love this branch! No disrespect to my branch on Hillside though because they are lovely too. Tomeka and Alix saved my financial life! My job pays by physical check and does not do direct deposit. I went to the Citibank that they bank with and opened up their account with, and they told me that my check was NOT on file and that they would not cash my check. It was the 30th of the month and rent is due before the first! On top of having other pressing bills to pay I simply did not have the time to wait for it to clear. I took a chance and called the Ridgewood nearest my job and asked if they could help me.
Alix was so lovely and told me to come in and that she would tell the tellers that I would be there before closing. Tameka was so sweet and amazing! I have a really great landlord and there is no reason for me to tell him a whole song when I was paid. He has bills to pay too!
Thank you ladies and gentlemen of Ridgewood Savings Bank so, so, so, so, so, so, so much! You really saved me from unnecessary stress, hurt pride, embarrassment and late fees. I will always remember your kindness and naturally will always come back because my job does not do direct deposit.

“Melissa, who I believe is the rotating branch manager between here and 107/Bway, went above and beyond to help me with mortgage paperwork and get home purchase done in time. Despite the underwriter asking for documents that did not exist, Melissa worked flexibly to find alternative documents that could work and certified it so the underwriter would accept. I felt that she genuinely wanted to help and I didn't have to worry about being stuck between two hard places. Whatever branch she ends up managing I will be making it my primary branch!”
