Furry Paws
1705 3rd Ave, New YorkFurry Paws has always been my go to for doggie merchandise. Today I was helping a friend looking for the booties for her dog for out in the cold and snow. The employee was so helpful showing me how they are packaged. She had various sizes for different breeds of dogs. It was listed on the package. They came in different colors made of a soft rubber and are disposable. She said she sells a lot of them for $19.99 a package. I left with a lot of information for my friend. It's up to her if she wants to get them or search online for a different style or price. I'm recommending Furry Paws if you live nearby. Save the puppies feet from pain in the ice and snow!

I'm excited to make this my go-to spot for pet products!

Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Hudson Square
350 Hudson St, New YorkCan't say enough good things about my experience here.
Before coming into Pure Paws last week, I was going to Ivy Pets in Tribecca where I had some bad experiences. Previously, I paid over $1000 to take an unnecessary X-ray where I had to wait over 24 hours for results. At Pure Paws, they saw my dog Jack immediately and I received results / analysis for his X-ray in minutes.
Additionally, for his visit, X-ray, and medication I paid just over $600, far less for way better service. Also, everyone was extremely nice and helpful and Curly at the front desk even left me with some nice gifts for Jack at the end of my visit. Will definitely be making this my new clinic for Jack.

Heart of Chelsea Veterinary Group - Lower East Side
241 Eldridge St, New YorkHonestly this place is expensive, but vet care has always been that way but it’s so much more here. I have been calling nonstop because my little baby has been sick. I have never met such a compassionate team. Dr.Fracapane is so understanding and thorough, always explaining everything so I don’t get confused. Wendy is extremely patient and kind, listening to me complain and the nonstop questions. They both speak to you as a friend, not just a customer with sweet soft voices(you come to appreciate this when your dog is going through a rough patch). Pet Sitting & Training

Spot-On K9 Training
400 W 43rd St #33R, New YorkStephen is amazing!! I signed up for training as my 3.5-year-old baby, Enzo, had issues while walking on the leash and always wanted to be in front. He also got too excited whenever he saw another dog or a bird and would pull me towards them. After just one session, I saw such a big difference. Enzo started walking next to me and became much more obedient in general.
Each lesson had a clear target, which really helped both of us. For one of the class, we learned “place” and Enzo jumped up on a rock and held a “place” command like a pro. That was just the second lesson. He has never jumped that high before, let alone sit still at that height, so I believe his confidence grew, and so did mine too, as a dog parent. The concierge in my building even shared that they notice a difference in Enzo’s behavior!
Enzo really likes and respects Stephen, and it shows in how he responds to him. If you're thinking about getting help with your pups, I can’t recommend Stephen enough. Thank you so much, Stephen you have truly been wonderful and such a good trainer!

The Educated Dog
107 W 86th St #14D, New YorkDeanne has been incredibly generous with her time and patience as I navigated life with not just one, but two puppies. Before meeting her, I was honestly feeling overwhelmed and frustrated. Through our conversations, I learned so much and was able to refine both my approach and understanding of puppy care.
Whether it was arranging puppy playdates, being a supportive sounding board, or even running home from the park in the pouring rain—puppies in tow—Deanne was always reliable, flexible, and accommodating. Her written summaries were especially helpful for keeping me focused and reminding me of our current goals.
We all have our own ways of communicating and doing things, and I truly appreciated that Deanne created space for a therapeutic relationship to develop at a pace that felt comfortable for both me and my puppies. Her support has made a real difference for us.

Yuruani Olguin Dog Training
101 W 23rd St, New YorkMy partner and I have been working with Angela for about a month and her deep and varied expertise along with her patience and kindness have been invaluable to us. The knowledge and tools we've gained from our sessions have made a huge difference in the relationship we have with our dog Basil. After 3 years with her, we were still struggling with anxiety and resource guarding that could sometimes lead to aggression towards us or other dogs. We now have a much better understanding of how to manage her anxiety in different contexts and how to improve it long-term. After only a few sessions, Basil was focused on us during walks even through stressors, leaving food on the ground with ease, and learning how and when to settle down. We can now communicate more clearly with her and understand her better when she is communicating with us. Basil gets so excited to do training now, and is always thrilled when Angela arrives for a session!

Amanda Gagnon Dog Training
76 W 85th St Unit A, New YorkMy husband and I have a five year old Whoodle (wheaten terrier and poodle mix). She has issues with resource guarding with myself and my husband when we are around other dogs. We’ve seen various trainers over the years with mix success and assurance over their credentials.
After long deliberation and research, we decided to get another Whoodle puppy. My husband has allergies to dogs and this is one of the few breeds he has found that do not cause inflammation. I was very anxious about the situation in case our current dog would be aggressive or unsettled with the addition. Before we got the puppy, we consulted with our vet, Heart of Chelsea (who is generally amazing). Heart of Chelsea recommend we contact one of their preferred trainers, which included Amanda Gagnon dog training.
From the point of booking the initial session, they were lovely to work with. Their services might be slightly more expensive that the neighborhood dog trainer, but they are worth every penny as these people are the real deal. Melissa came to our apartment to meet our current dog and help us with some tips on how to integrate a puppy as well as how to approach our dog’s aggressive behavior toward other dogs. Melissa so professional, smart, but also real. It didn’t feel like she was in any way judgmental or condescending. She offered great advice in person and also via email for follow-up questions. We had her come back again after we get the puppy to check-in on approach and progress. Their services SIGNIFICANTLY reduced my angst about the new puppy situation and made me feel like I had realistic, logical, and positive methods to tackle the situation.
I cannot recommend this Company more for care with your beloved dogs. Melissa and Amanda Gagnon are now go-to resources for us in making sure our furry family members are happy and healthy.

KJUN
154 E 39th St, New YorkWe were able to walk in to their extremely small location. We went in sort of blind - I saw it recommend on reddit and liked the idea of Cajun/Korean fusion and that's all we knew! It felt very exclusive and in hindsight we should have made a reservation.
They had bins to store our belongings which was nice. We were immediately walked through the menu and asked about our experiences with both cuisines, preferences, and any dietary restrictions. The wait staff were extremely welcoming! We did a meal-for-two and we were really in for a treat. We were presented with an amuse bouche in addition to our first appetizer, a green tomato Kimchi. It was probably the best tasting thing I've eaten this year and if I could have taken a few jugs home on our flight I would have. This and the Korean pear salad were needed light and acidic counters to our amazing (but heavy/savory) mains - kalbi short rib grits and seafood jajengmyeon. We were absolutely stuffed by the time we got our dessert, a fun take on pecan pie.
In hindsight, looking at the chef responsible (who was mingling and making sure everything was hitting right for the guests), a very curated experience was to be expected. Going in blind I expected more ham-fisted fusions but everything was excellent, some fusions were more subtle than others, and somehow it all remained authentic to both cuisines. I would definitely recommend stopping here if you are able!

Our 2 yr old pup Frida is pretty much as perfect as can be. She is calm, polite, playful, and loving, not to mention absolutely adorable! Everyone who meets her loves her and we often get stopped by people wanting to pet, compliment, and even take pictures of her. 353 West St, New YorkNice space, especially w/the mini water fountain area. Decent length for dogs to run, chase, and play fetch (quite clean I may add!). Wished it were a bit larger. Nonetheless the setting by the water, priceless!

Jemmy's Dog Run
Broadway, New YorkRecently went to a Golden Retrievers of New York meet up here. It was so lovely. Had the cutest dog fountain that was continuously running so it made me feel better letting my dog drink from it. Sure, it smelled like pee but that’s par for the course. Lots of seating and plenty of room for floofs to be floofing.
