“I ran in quickly to get some dress socks and it was wonderful to see that it was busy on a Saturday afternoon, while it was raining! Alan is a class act, I could tell immediately. I watched as he took care of every customer with his full attention and wanted the best for each person. Wish I had a place like this in Durham, but we chatted briefly after he was able to get to me and he was cool, respectful, and professional. We talked about some pieces that I definitely will be coming back to check out. See you soon Alan!”
“5 gold stars. So glad we found this place! Firstly the service is impeccable. These people obviously love working here and helping people find great supplies for camping and being outdoors. I love that they have their goods online so you have the option of seeing what is in store or ordering online to pick-up. There is a huge selection of gear and supplies, really everything you would need. They have great sales and discounts. We purchased the 3 seater kelty chair (it is amazing and so lightweight for its size, especially) and the Kelty big blanket.
Ryan and Lindsey helped us. I was having tech difficulties with my phone and Google pay/connectivity. I spent 20 minutes in the store trying to get my phone and processes through so I could purchase the big Kelty blanket. They did everything they could to help me on top of being kind and telling me no worries for the problems that I felt I was bringing their way. After many attempts on my phone failed they let me use their computer and it was a success. Lindsey and Ryan were so helpful, positive and friendly. I appreciate them and I appreciate this awesome shop in such a convenient location. Definitely recommend stopping in. Local shop, great deals, top-quality products and amazing staff. Can't beat it”
“Was visiting from North Florida for few days, (stayed in Marshall, N.C.), and my significant other and I wanted to get some souvenirs for our trip up to North Carolina. Looked up few places locally and came across Moonlight Makers. It sounded interesting and wanted to check it out. It was somewhat difficult to find, but easy to walk to from parking garage across the street... Once arriving, it was a very nice store or establishment, and had many items locally made, and what seemed like nice variety or selection of goods or items to choose from. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was wonderful! We browsed for little bit, and our cashier was very nice also. Hope to visit Asheville again soon, and thank you all for a great experience!”

“Five stars for Orvis and the Asheville location General Manager. Couldn’t be more pleased with the treatment from the staff, and obviously the quality of product. Specifically, the staff is educated and in touch with current conditions and fly selections in the greater WNC area, and are always willing to chat. Recently I got a little bit emotional and testy with an employee (didn’t know it at the time but was, indeed, the manger lol) who handled my temper better than I would have if I were in his shoes. He accepted my apology and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome back anytime. Thanks Orvis Asheville:)”

The last one acted like they didn’t have money to spend even though they have their own credit cards with very high limits. The new one treats them very well and they spend lots there now.”

The atmosphere is amazing—it has the nice, relaxed, and welcoming vibe of a thrift store but feels almost like a treasure trove when you walk in. The owner is incredibly kind and helpful—we had a great interaction with her and she provided exceptional service. There are dressing rooms to try on the fabulous clothes throughout the store. I popped in to grab some last minute birthday gifts for my nephew, and even though they didn't have his size in stock, a lovely young lady offered to order it for me. On my way out, I spotted a few other items. I ended up staying an extra 15 minutes just to look around. Plus, you can't beat the great deals. Highly recommend!”
“Selection wise, this location isn’t the best specifically for men’s clothing. Very limited options and most of which are plain, boring, aren’t expressive like the clothing I see in most UO stores but I know that is a company problem not a problem for the location. Prime real estate in downtown Asheville.
The staff was very nice, I brought my dog in and talked with one of the staff members who was very attentive to guests coming in. Store was very clean, organized, and displayed well.”
