6805 Millhouse Rd, Chapel HillMy golden retriever Hazel has been going to Green Beagle in Chapel Hill for many years for daycare and boarding there in recent years. I am so grateful for the great care that she gets at GB; I should have written a review sooner!! My job involves a long hours, so I greatly appreciate that I can drop her off at the beginning of the day and pick her up close to closing. She would stay there longer if she could; she always comes and goes with a smile on her face and tail wagging. She recently boarded at GB; I misremembered the weekend pick up time which resulted in her needing to stay another night. They were kind to accommodate this without issue, and I picked her up the next day. I have interacted with many team members over the years, and they have all been great. Thank you so much for taking such great care of all of our pets.

K9 perfection is the best groomers that we have ever experienced over 4 Newfies. Seamus loves his spa days and is ecstatic when he sees Lilly come to the gate. Today, he went straight to the grooming table and tried climbing on, he was so ready. We are grateful that we have maybe 24 hours of a pleasant smelling, soft, unmatted dog.

The staff are truly exceptional people who take the best care of the pups and are kind to the humans, too! They were very kind about accommodating us when we had a last-minute travel issue and needed another night on a recent trip (and I suspect the dogs were delighted to get a bonus night). I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Diesel was such a playful pain in the backside.... chewed everything, jumped up on everyone, annoyed our other dog, etc. We tried several other trainers with no success. After the training, we still have a playful, goofy and sweet Diesel but the jerk and annoying behaviors are gone. We can control his behavior so much better and the negative chaos we once experienced is far, far diminished. Thank you Gene and Berk!

We were looking for non-aversive trainers, and they were the only ones I saw who stated on their home page that they would not be using e-collars or slip leads. Their puppy primer class is a brilliant blend of instruction and application. The trainers come around at the end of class and give feedback and support to each family. They meet you where you are and are able to help no matter your situation. We are already booked for the next level of class and are very much looking forward to working with them again.

I had lo mein noodles and highly recommend paired with that sauce. Joey was absolutely on point sharing such good beverage options. The fries are out of this world and highly recommend, they are sweet and savory just perfect for sharing. Thank you so much for the best experience, also got to try soup dumplings 🥟 and they were phenomenal. Would recommend to everyone to try Hawkers!

1215-A, E Franklin St, Chapel HillOne of my favorite coffee shops in the Durham / Chapel Hill Area, and a space I think is really quite unique to this are (have never seen something similar elsewhere). The coffee shop itself is a tiny building in the middle of a beautiful wooded area, with lots of seating scattered throughout the trees & other garden area (limited seating inside, so come when the weather is good). There are also stairs down the back to another patio to sit on a little way down the hill, and then little paths along the hill which eventually connect up with a walking path at the bottom. It's a lovely place to come for a date or meet up with a friend--you can sit and drink your coffee for a bit, and then explore a bit. I've always come here to sit & sketch before, or just watch everyone's dogs. The coffee itself is well-crafted and delicious. I have come here many times, and my favorite drink is the ginger beer cold brew (so yummy). Their americano is also excellent, however. I have also enjoyed the Brown Sugar latte & Harvest Spice Latte when I am looking for something a bit sweeter. They've also got a yummy vegan (and gluten free) pumpkin bar which is big enough to share. On weekends, during midmorning and early afternoon, it can get quite busy, often with a line out the door (you may need to wait for 15-20 minutes, and sometimes it can be hard to find a place to park). However, if you do find a spot to park & are willing to wait, I have never had any trouble finding a place to sit (there's just SO many tables!).

Ta Contento Mex Fresh Food

I had the Quesabirria and it was good, but maybe not the best I ever had. I liked the consomme, right amount of cheese and the meat was tender. Very pleasing. The person working there was also great. Again, if you are in the neighborhood, worth a stop.

Frequented primarily by UNC students based on its proximity to the school, this place has a fun vibe and also tons of spots to sit and work. They offer matcha (with boba and jellies to add) and shaved ice. I didn't know about the shaved ice but someone ordered while I was there and I am intrigued. It looked delicious so I may have to come back to try. I got a large strawberry matcha with boba. It was $8.33 after tax, which I feel like is reasonable for the size and quality of the drink. This is definitely one of the better matcha spots I have enjoyed. I sat outside since the weather was nice and sipped on my drink. Not a spot I'll likely visit often based on proximity but definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.
