4350 Garrett Rd, DurhamWe usually go to the RTP location, but there is construction going on right now right next to it and my dog wasn't tolerating the construction sounds well. We were warmly welcomed by the staff at this Go Dog and even though my girl was tentative at first she quickly warmed up to the staff! They take such good care of the dogs and really pay attention to their needs. My dog gets so excited as soon as she sees the Go Dog building and can't wait to get out of the car and go inside!

Elliotte's Pet Spa & Salon Inc.
3002 Guess Rd, DurhamI want to say that after trying different groomers in the Triangle area, this place is by far, and I mean by far, the best out of all of them.Unfortunately, the closer one gets to the Raleigh area, the more they act like their *#*# doesn’t stink and they don’t give a damn if you patronize their business or not, and this behavior came from the owners of the establishments-not the workers !! Without dropping the name of a particular groomer in the Cary area, I literally got charged $1.00 a minute for being three minutes late. When I explained that I got stuck at the railroad crossing just a couple of blocks from their place, she told me rules are rules !! Stupidly, on my part, I still gave the groomer a hefty tip, but, I should’ve deducted the $3 from the tip and tell her to get it from her greedy boss. Her greed costs her my regular business, and that of my neighbor.Anyway, getting back to Elliot’s Pet Spa. They were so nice and friendly. They don’t waste time keeping ur animal caged up for a whole day. Our groomer, Jenna, is such a sweetheart. Our toy poodle literally jumped right into her arms. And, he came back looking and smelling like a million bucks. She pays specific attention to requests and details. The pricing is so fair-it’s a no brainer for us. I wholeheartedly recommend this spot for anyone that is looking for great service and great pricing. We tried another groomer in that shop and she was also very good, kind, and courteous. But, for us, after so many of our friends told us about Jenna, she’s our girl (hands down)……. You won’t be disappointed in any way with this establishment. Don’t waste time with all of the other wannabes !!!! Elliot’s Pet Spa in Durham, on Giess Rd. (Very close to the 85)….. It’s so conveniently located, even coming from the Raleigh area, is not a problem.P.S. The only hiccup I can say is that they only accept cash payments. Not a big deal-either way you have to pay. So just make sure you get cash and remember-YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED !!!

Petropolitan Dog Grooming
8123 Herndon Rd, DurhamI am not a client. I am giving this location 5 Stars for the response given to the "former" client that gave your establishment a 1 star. I commend you and would HIGHLY recommend and I will definitely come to your establishment when you have the staff to welcome in "New Clients". The fact that you managed and pull through Covid 19 speaks a lot AND the amount of 5 stars that you have across the board SPEAKS more than the one 1 star that you received. I hope that someday you can open to "New Clients", I will keep looking out. GREAT JOB in standing up for your establishments reputation and your staff.

Parkwood Animal Hospital
5107 NC-55 Suite 101, DurhamThe primary reason I chose Parkwood for my pet was based off the excellent reviews long term and even new patients left for this establishment. We’ve been going to Parkwood now I would say for over a year and we have received nothing but the best care for my pup. Times where my dog has worried me, we’ve called and they don’t just automatically say “bring her in” they make honest recommendations before they just take your money like other vets. They are also reasonably priced and they really value their patients. Thank you to all of the staff at Parkwood for the amazing care you give!

Urban Tails Veterinary Hospital
800 Taylor St Suite 9-155, DurhamIn the same week that they unexpectedly lost their beloved founder and our veterinarian, Dr. Bennett, this team met my husband and I with nothing but kindness and compassion as we had to say goodbye to our sweet dog of 15 years, Shadow. Leading up to Shadow’s passing, Dr. Bennett had multiple phone calls with my husband and I about what to expect with compassionate euthanasia and answered our many questions. When she sadly passed so unexpectedly before his planned appointment, her staff and team stepped up with tremendous empathy amidst their own grief. They were patient with us, answered additional questions, and walked us through our final appointment with Shadow with so much professionalism and warmth. I’m not sure what more could serve as a testament to the kind of practice this is and the kind of person Dr. Bennett was, to surround herself with the kind of people that could carry on in this way in her absence. We are forever grateful to this team.

1012 Broad St, DurhamThe care we receive here from Dr. Smith is top notch. Our dog is a difficult patient with a complicated medical history, and she is always so patient with him. We recently went through a big health scare with him, and she was wonderful every step of the way. I felt like she was genuinely feeling all of the emotions we were feeling as we made decisions for him, and she was able to get him in at NC State for surgery. She has been a partner in his care and shown true interest in his wellbeing. The Pet Wagon Hotel
3215 Old Chapel Hill Rd, DurhamI cannot sing the praises of this place enough. I have a severely dog-reactive (senior) dog who has been unable to participate in daycare, or even play dates, without extremely close supervision for about two years now. The Pet Wagon crew was able to get her into a play group with other dogs safely. They were extremely proactive in wanting to help her and allowing her to be like any other dog while staying with them. They also send photos and updates, which is important to me. And the price is beyond fair, IMO.
I unfortunately need to board my dogs somewhat often because of my line of work, but bringing them here gives me such peace of mind, it is no longer a problem or anxiety-inducing for me. I have used (not exaggerating) over 15 boarding/daycare facilities, across several US states through the years, and The Pet Wagon is in my top three favorites, and I cannot stress enough how great they have been with our dogs.
TL;DR: Absolutely amazing place, ten stars, no notes.

My husband and I visited recently for a bourbon tasting, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations.
Our mixologist, Berkay, was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. He shared the history behind each spirit and walked us through the tasting notes in a way that was easy to understand and genuinely enjoyable.
The food menu was another big win, especially as someone who eats vegan. They offered vegan options, which made the experience feel inclusive and well thought out
This is a fantastic spot for date night, a girls’ night, or celebrating something special. They also host tastings, cocktail classes, private parties, and bachelor or bachelorette events, which makes it a great option for future plans.

Chelsea Cafe
1007 Slater Rd # 190, DurhamTLDR: Sunny, affordable and refreshing cafe with ample parking and seating, as well as a delicious food! Perfect for people with dairy allergies and vegans as well as meat lovers. Ideal location for working remote or studying in the morning away from the crowds. Full review below:
What a hidden gem! When I hear rumor of a breakfast and lunch spot that offered dairy-free substitutes but also was reasonably priced and delicious, I was skeptical.
I drove in to the unassuming corporate office building and walked up to the door and was met with a beautiful sunlit morning paradise. The cafe faces east so the morning sun pours in through the large windows, past dozens of vibrant hanging plants. There are big tables with little bouquets of fresh wildflowers, as well as a QR code so you can order on your mobile phone from the table—perfect for a work or study break!
When I walked up to the counter, one of the kitchen staff greeted me and assured me that they did dairy-free and vegan options, listing off all the different vegan cheeses they used. I ordered their signature Chelsea Breakfast Burrito for myself and my husband for takeout and WOW. We gobbled them down before I remembered to take a photo! With all of the allergy conscious options and the care for the little details (seriously love the little wild flowers on the tables,) we will absolutely be returning!

Succotash Southern and Creole Kitchen.
3219 Old Chapel Hill Rd #200, DurhamWhat a great find!! The food was out of this world! The flavors were spot on and while authentic Creole/Cajun, there were different flavors thrown in to great success. We had the fried brussel sprouts for an appetizer - so good and the combo of flavors was spectacular! We both couldn't resist the scallop and risotto special and it was the best scallop dish I've had in decades. I don't know how they got the scallops so perfectly seared and cooked but it was unreal. The wait and bar staff were very helpful and friendly. After dinner we went into the separate lounge area with some drinks, watched some great live jazz, and danced. Magical!

Alley Twenty Six
320 E Chapel Hill St STE 200, DurhamOur first visit was pleasant! We made reservations for two on a Sunday afternoon. The server was very nice and patient with all of my questions. The food was fantastic and we'd order again! We enjoyed the chilled crab rangoon dip, crispy brussel sprouts, deviled eggs, the alley jr., and a mushroom dish.
The drinks we ordered were good, too. The only discouraging thing about that is witnessing four members on staff take straws and try my $16 drink before serving it to me. I understand that our server was not familiar with my request, and I also understand the bartender trying the creation, but it was discouraging to see multiple people trying it. The bathrooms were clean, and the overall environment was a relaxing setting. The only thing I'd recommend is fans of some sort to help move the air in the space. As more people came into the restaurant, the warmer the environment became.
