The dog washing salons are a great price ($10-unlimited time) and always stocked with anything you could possibly need and I have returned multiple times to use them. VCA Parkway Animal Hospital
1610 Old Apex Rd, CaryVCA Parkway is wonderful! I'm so happy that we have found this vet office for our two cats. Dr. Smith and Dr. LeBlanc are both wonderful to work with and the staff is always understanding and helpful. We've run into some difficult health issues with both our cats (dental in one, resulting in tooth extractions, and sudden early onset heart disease in the other, plus weight loss for both), but our vet team has made the learning curves and processes go smoothly.
Most recently, Dr. Smith has demonstrated both compassion and professionalism in helping us navigate the difficult new heart problems found in one of our cats. She is also wonderful with both of our girls in office, and has earned my trust and respect in their ongoing care.
Thank you VCA Parkway staff for always being there for my girls (and their humans)!

The entire staff is calm, patient, understanding, cares for my pets thoroughly, and explains everything along the way. Just recently, my pet Fiona had an issue and despite a full day of appointments, they found a way to work me in so she could get looked at right away. The pricing is VERY reasonable for the area, and it's the best service you could hope for.

PetSound Animal Hospital
305 Ashville Ave, Caryshoutout to everyone at Petsound ?? finding the perfect vet for my dog has been troubling, and after my first visit at petsound today, I can thankfully say I found the one!! My previous (2-3?) vets not only charged an arm and a leg for basic examinations, but they also weren’t the best when it came to caring for my dog. I have a boxer mix who is pretty defensive, and my old vet would literally look at my dog like he was a dinosaur. she wouldn’t get close to him and wouldn’t even talk to him, and I felt like my dog could some how sense the fear. I understand that caution should be taken when approaching any dog, but the way they handled my dog was wild? On top of that, they wanted to charge me over $400 just to treat his ear infection. They said he would require sedation because he showed aggressiveness (mmm wonder why)
Everyone at petsound was amazing and i can’t recommend this place enough. All it took for them to see my dog was a quick phone call with the suuuuuper kind woman who works at the front. They don’t overcharge you, they show care for your animals, and they do everything necessary to resolve any problems. once again, shoutout to the kind ppl at petsound??

Dr. RK was so compassionate and explained that my dog was in kidney failure. I had to bring him back a few days later to be helped to the rainbow bridge. Staff was professional, compassionate, and absolutely wonderful, from reception to the vet techs and Dr. RK. My Axel transitioned peacefully and with no pain. They let his brother Rawley stay in the room. Thank you to the entire Walnut Street staff for helping me through a very difficult day.

I procrastinated writing this, and I’m glad I did. This review is 5 months after the board and train and the results have stuck. Proactive teaches you and your dog. The play-based approach has unlocked a new level of compliance and genuinely enhanced our relationship with our dog.
Our dog was not an easy training case. We have a Shiba with aggression issues. Feeding was a nightmare, touch was a bite risk, and commands were met with full SpongeBob “I don’t feeeeel like it” energy.
All this time later we have made a huge leap forward. Feeding is smooth and easy. Commands are listened to on the first ask. My little buddy comes over looking for pets. We could not be happier with our choice to work with Proactive.

All Dogs Allowed
110B Woodwinds Industrial Ct, CaryI can't recommend Nora at All Dogs Allowed enough. My dog was severely leash reactive — barking and lunging any time we passed another person. It got to the point where I was walking him at 5:30am just to avoid encountering anyone, and if I had to go out later, I'd spot someone coming and turn around, sometimes doing this multiple times in one walk. A simple 15-minute loop could turn into a stressful 45-minute maze of avoidance.
After just a short session with Nora, everything changed. She taught me techniques that completely transformed how my dog responds on walks. We are only on day 5 and the transformation is already more than I expected. He went from aggressive barking and lunging to staying calm and focused on me when we pass people. We finally have our peaceful walks back, and I feel so much more confident taking him out, even when the neighborhood is busy.
What stood out most is that Nora's approach is all positive reinforcement, never fear-based. She's incredibly patient and clearly knows what she's doing. If your dog struggles with reactivity, I can't recommend her highly enough.

He now knows all the skills and necessary commands to become the dog I knew he could be. I have dreamed of taking Flash hiking off leash for quite some time. I was amazed and delighted to hike off leash with Flash this morning. He knew exactly what to do! He was calm, confident and so happy hiking off leash. It was a joyful morning for both of us!

The team went out of their way to make her feel comfortable, even providing a cozy hide-a-bed to help her acclimate. They were flexible and willing to add play time on an as needed basis as she got comfortable. I appreciated not only their care but their honesty about what aspects our baby might like vs what she wouldn't. Definitely using them again!

I was stuck in a jam with a last minute cancellation with a dog sitter and they are complete heroes. They were able to set me up with a dog sitter meeting the next day and we met Julia. She has become much calmer around other dogs and is more attentive to commands. Willow is still a work in progress, and thanks to Jake's spot on advice, we are now headed in the right direction. I also wanted to point out that Jake gives very detailed, daily progress notes.

Esteamed is a nonprofit that provides job opportunities for people with disabilities to work, grow their skills, and be part of a welcoming community.
During our visit, everyone was so warm and friendly from the moment we walked in, and the service was very fast despite how busy it was inside the cafe. Ladd, Molly, Ryan, and Juliet were especially kind and welcoming, and their warmth and fun conversation really made our visit stand out. The cafe itself is adorable, with a bright yet cozy atmosphere that makes you want to sit and stay awhile. We also loved seeing all the little details throughout the space, including the fresh flowers and the merch products and decor made by people with disabilities. What an amazing little coffee shop, we cannot wait to return!

Great prices, they didn't have my meal ready exactly on time, but they gave me a free dessert as a thank you for waiting an extra 5 minutes. The servers were really friendly too. And then I got home and ate their food, SO GOOD. The warm, happy, filling feeling of eating good and healthy (well healthier than most places) food hit at the first bite. I had the dumplings and tika masala. Also a stack of various flat breads, all delicious and unique. Highly recommend, this is my new favorite restaurant in the triangle.

I got avocado toast, but the side of grits and the biscuit with apple butter were the stars of the show. The wait was pretty long and there wasn't really anywhere to keep place in line except outside and our names weren't taken down. We had a few new arrivals seated before us by just walking in at the right time. It was a little expensive and also none of the salt shakers worked properly. I would say get what they are known for ( grits and biscuits ) and don't stray too far from the beaten path and you'll have a great experience!

It’s dangerously smooth and easily one of the best I’ve had.
The atmosphere here is always welcoming, the bartenders genuinely care about what they’re serving, and it’s clear they put thought into every new addition to the menu. This cocktail alone is worth the visit, but it’s just another reason Taps & Social continues to be my favorite neighborhood bar. Cheers to another winner!
