“Salud is still good after all these years, but they've transformed for the better. Admittedly, I always order delivery from them even though I live in the neighborhood, so I can't speak to the current in-house service or the ambiance. But as for the food, it is my lazy night pizza go-to, and it never disappoints. My favorite is the El Gordo with pepperoni. It is the quintessential meat-lovers pizza taken to the next level with hot honey and whipped ricotta. I usually eat half and then save the rest for lunch the next day. It heats up nicely in the microwave or the oven. In true Salud fashion, there are still many vegan options, making this an excellent place to come if you have a friend group with varying dietary needs or for a meatless Monday. Salad continues to be a NoDa staple, and for good reason, you won't be disappointed.”

Dare I speculate that this model may serve as a blueprint for the cannabis industry in the future. I appreciate these Government run liquor establishments in North Carolina. They are efficient and the prices are set, and you feel safe. In some seedy NYC or Boston liquor stores you feel as if you could be in a hold up at any moment. The employees are friendly and helpful. The ABC Stores has promotional gift with purchases if the company offers them and limited edition specialty offerings. This particular location has a great gin aisle. It's twice as long as many other ABC Stores. Today I picked up a limited edition Gin from Scotland.My first visit to this particular store, but the parking was terrific. If you know what you want you can be in and out in three minutes flat!”
“Had the best time wine tasting at this super quaint fine wine boutique shop. I had no idea what it would be like when I booked it for a birthday afternoon, but we had so much fun. Naquan was a fantastic host and wine specialist, he was really knowledgeable about the wines, and very passionate about what he does. It's a tiny venue, no more than 8 people can really fit in here unless you choose to use their outside space. We had 7 inside and it was perfect. They allow you to bring in outside food as they don't serve any. Go across to the salted melon market if you want to get something. I had emailed them earlier to ask about the wine tasting and book it and they were very cool about letting me select what I wanted to be in the tasting. He picked some great wines, we really enjoyed them. They have fantastic glasses too! They have a great variety available for sake, with prices ranging from affordable to very high end! It was a really nice classy affair, and I would most certainly do this again, reasonable prices, $45 plus tax and tip per person. Perfect fun Sunday afternoon.”

“Yesterday my husband and I had a 3pm reservation… Jacob was our tour guide and he was professional, interesting to listen to and had ALOT of knowledge of wines/ whiskey and the history of the establishment. What I liked best about the tour was how we didn’t feel rushed and he was patient while we were taking photos to show our good time. The establishment was clean, smelled great and has an affordable tour fee. We live in Virginia so having this great experience while on our Valentines “ rondevous” was amazing.Thanks Jacob! “Winestore really goes above and beyond! I wandered in one day looking for Orange wine. Although they don't carry any in store, the friendly staff took down my info and later emailed me a great list of options, including pricing and helpful descriptions, for me to pick from. There's no obligation to order a certain amount, so I picked out 3 bottles that sounded good, and after providing my payment info, they ordered them to the store for me to pick up. Super convenient, and a great way to get to try different, harder-to-find wines!Browsing the bottles in-store is also a pleasant experience, with the wines organized by type on easy-to-see shelves with labels that let you know what to expect in terms of flavor & feel. We picked up a red blend, which was on sale for a great price, and I look forward to returning for more!”

I don't like a strong oaky finish, so I usually tend to go Italian, but they had a German Resling that was sweet and raident. I had to get a bottle. There are chairs and nooks available to catch up or work. It was such a vibe. I loved that you can relax and people watch with a light snack”

“Time to refresh a few liquors in the home liquor cabinet and I happened to be in the Southpark neighborhood when my wife texted me a list. This ABC is located in the same plaza as the "Taj Ma Teeter" so it was easy to find even if it's at the end of the building in a corner of the parking lot. In, shop, out. “I hadn't been to Total Wine in years but wanted to stop by while visiting Charlotte since multiple people had told me they have an impressive beer selection. Their beer selection did not disappoint. They have a NC beer selection and then a large selection of beer from across the country, followed by an International beer selection. I was especially impressed with their seasonal beer selection. They still had quite a few "Christmas" beers which I'm looking forward to trying.They also of course have a huge wine selection as their name implies. They have cheese, crackers and other snack foods. Their was even a humidor for their cigar selection.I 100% recommend checking out Total Wine if anyone is in the Charlotte area.”
