Buying the right shoes can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when you don't know much about the technical side of things, but Rachel made the entire process seamless and enjoyable.
She was incredibly patient with me from start to finish. I walked in knowing very little about proper footwear or what my feet actually needed, but she took the time to provide a wealth of education regarding shoe fit and foot health. I learned so much just from working with her, and she explained everything in a way that was easy to understand.
What stood out the most, however, was her empathy. She really listened to my concerns and made me feel truly heard.
She never made me feel silly for my lack of knowledge; instead, she met me where I was and guided me with kindness. It is rare to find that level of genuine care combined with such expertise.
If you are looking for new shoes and want someone who will really take care of you, definitely ask for Rachel she is the greatest!”

“Such a special place! I was in Durham for work and stopped by on a whim. My favorite shopping experience is one where you can talk to someone super smart and stylish who will talk you down from all your neuroses. On that front, V&V delivers! Everything they stock is beautiful and well made, and the women who work here are consummate pros who will take you, your concerns and your taste seriously. I had the best time talking to Nia, trying on pieces she picked out for me, and getting some stylist assists from Stephanie. One of their regular customers even helped close a deal by walking in wearing a great pair of jeans (tried them on + bought my own on the spot.) 10/10 retail experience.”

They have a cool machine for measuring your weight distribution on your feet for picking out the right insoles. I love the ones I bought. Definitely recommend.”

“I saw a dress I really liked online but have never even considered a Lily Pulitzer dress before so I thought I’d take the opportunity to try it on. I had my toddler with me and I was nervous to bring him in the store because “fancy dress stores” aren’t always ok with little ones (fair enough!) But all of the sales associates were extremely kind and even talked to my son. They were all so friendly and helpful!

I initially came in with a bit of frustration because I needed to return two pairs of Crocs that were shipped to me in the wrong size. However, the staff completely turned my experience around. “I went here after receiving not so go customer service at the South Point location and it was on our way home so it worked out perfect! I was acknowledged upon walking in, I was even approached by a staff member in seeking help with shoe sizes for my son. He even assisted us with trying them on his little foot to make sure we got him the correct size, I don’t know his name (tall light-skin gentleman with tattoos, glasses) but Thank You for your great customer service! Instead of getting my son one pair of shoes we walked out with three instead! Even when walking out another gentleman who checked us out came to open the doors for us, my hands were full from pushing the stroller and holding my son! We will be back!”
