315 North Granville Street, EdentonI’ve been to Ralph’s NY Italian in Edenton twice now, and thankfully, this is one of those places that actually knows what it’s doing.
First visit, I had the meat pizza. Good pizza, properly cooked, plenty of flavor — but for me, it was crying out for more sauce. A pizza shouldn’t feel like it’s rationing the tomato.
So the next day, I came back, ordered the meatball pizza, and asked for extra sauce. What a difference. Beautifully cooked crust, flavorful meatballs, plenty of sauce, and suddenly everything worked together. This was easily the better of the two pizzas. Simple food done properly.
Then came the cheesy garlic knots. Good, soft, cheesy — but come on, if you’re calling them garlic knots, I want to taste the garlic! Give them another hit of garlic, seasoning, maybe some herbs, and they’d go from good to absolutely brilliant.
Overall, Ralph’s has impressed me. The food is fresh, the pizzas are properly cooked, and unlike plenty of places that get talked up only to completely disappoint, this is somewhere I’d actually come back to.
If you’re in Edenton looking for a solid Italian-style pizza, Ralph’s is absolutely worth a visit. Just do yourself a favor: get the extra sauce.

Waterman's Grill
427 S Broad St, EdentonPlace was really hopping when we stopped by so we sat at the bar and had a few drinks and dinner. Limited draft selection but they had a few bottle/can selections along with mixed drinks. The food was good but not sure this is on our radar for next visit. Fish and chips came out hot but needed to be eaten quick before it got soggy. Fried looked fresh cut and were good when hot too. Burger was about what one might expect.

Governor's Pub
321-C, 321 S Broad St D, EdentonSat at the bar for a few pints and conversation. Food looked good but we chose to skip and just have a chill at the bar. Not really a selection of craft beer on tap...I think Hoppyum was the only one I noted. The rest were more American main stream, but judging by the patrons that's what moves so it stays fresh. Lots of locals coming in for dinner.
