1600-G Matthews-Mint Hill Rd, MatthewsBrought in our (at the time) 4 month old standard poodle for his first big grooming! My husband & I have been giving him baths and blow drying at home, brushing him daily to desensitize him before going to get professionally groomed & the staff said that did help a lot for his appointment as he was well behaved & let them do their magic. All things considered he is a puppy that was getting groomed for the 1st time which usually doesn’t go that well, his size being under 30 pounds, and his coat being 5+ inches long with a combo of puppy coat. & curls - the price was good at $80. I was happy to pay! The staff all were so wonderful, efficient, finished ahead of the estimated time and our boy returned a whole new dog! He smelled wonderful, was so soft, and very handsome. We can’t wait to go back!

Fullwood Animal Hospital
4101 Matthews-Mint Hill Rd, MatthewsOne of the best experiences I’ve had! I recently called fullwood to inquire about my dog & her red, swollen eye. We originally called our dogs normal vet & they couldn’t see us for 3 weeks but told us our dogs issues was extremely urgent. I submitted an online request for an appointment with Fullwood because my mom brings her cat here & has amazing things to say. Within 4 minutes of submitted my online request, I had someone from here calling me & getting me an appointment in the next 48 hrs! (I’m convinced it would have been sooner if we weren’t about to get a ton of snow!)
Upon arrival, they were very Accommodating of my dog being reactive to other pets & got is an exam room immediately to wait so we didn’t encounter other pets. They built trust with her immediately & were so gentle & kind. They made me feel comfortable asking all of my probably annoying & overbearing dog mom questions. I will no longer be taking my dogs to any other vet other than full wood, the 45 minute drive is so worth my dogs getting the best & quickest treatment!

Miller Animal Hospital
331 Indian Trail Rd N, Indian TrailThe staff and Vet was more than the BEST when it came to care for my German Shepherd. We unfortunately had to put him down due to lung cancer and we were treated with so much love for us and especially for him. Dr. Miller went out of his way to make sure we were knowledgable, and felt valued. He understood we were losing a part of of our family and made sure this experience was the best it could be under the circumstances. I am forever grateful for how he handled it until the end and made sure to take the time to NEVER make us feel rushed. This veterinary is truly the best i have experienced and the staff aligns with the Vet's values.

Weddington Animal Hospital
13667 Providence Rd, MatthewsThey’ve been great with our adopted German Shepherd who can be quite timid at the vet. Our previous vet was so rude about our dog and gave me anxiety just bringing her in. Glad to have found Weddington instead.
We also had to put down our 15 year old dog and they were phenomenal. Took their time letting me have a moment, gave him a final treat of chocolate and cookies (all the things he never got to have), took paw print molds. So kind and understanding.

They guided our dog Snow through a splenectomy to remove a 7+ lb mass. Dr. Hazavehi and the team treated Snow with genuine care and respect at every turn. They answered every question, never rushed us, and made Snow's comfort their priority throughout this process.
They've given us more time with Snow. That's a gift we can never fully repay. If you want veterinarians who combine skill with compassion, this is your clinic.

2440 Plantation Center Dr, MatthewsI had a fantastic experience here at Skyline (blue pearl) with Cardiology Dr. M. (Sorry I do not remember her full name) and the technicians that worked with my 2 cats. They were extremely professional, kept me informed throughout the entire process and explained in full why they were doing certain tests which I am so appreciative of! I have never had such a great experience at a hospital before (they communicate better than human hospitals!!!) we will be returning for ongoing yearly cardiology appointments as recommended. If my kitties ever need any other services I will be taking them here from now on. Also- the receptionist was so kind and professional!

2440 Plantation Center Dr, MatthewsI cannot say enough nice things about this hospital! I was extremely nervous bringing my 12yr old chi mix in for a dental. She has a long list of health issues and I was terrified for her to undergo anesthesia. However, Dr. Reynolds and her team were extremely kind, caring and compassionate and kept me updated every step of the way. My baby soared through her dental/extractions without any complications and I will be forever grateful to them for taking such amazing care of her!

We took our puppy, Milli, to their Huntersville location and were then referred to the Matthews location for an ultrasound. She was diagnosed with intussusception and required surgery. Throughout the entire process, they provided us with updates both before and after surgery, and the front desk team patiently answered all of our calls as very worried dog parents. Everyone was incredibly informative and took the time to answer all of our questions regarding our puppy’s care. We are so grateful for them and would definitely recommend! ?

10714 Independence Pointe Pkwy, MatthewsWe enrolled our dog Coco in a 28-day training program, and the results were incredible thanks to Skylar! Coco was a stray before we adopted her 5 years ago. She has always been the sweetest dog, but she struggled with some bad behaviors, didn’t listen well at all, and was very reactive around other dogs.
Skylar did an amazing job working with her. The transformation in Coco’s behavior and obedience has honestly been beyond what we expected. She listens so much better now, is calmer around other dogs, and overall seems much more confident and happy.
You can tell Skylar truly cares about the dogs and puts in the time and effort to help both the dog and the owner succeed. We’re so grateful for everything she did for Coco and would highly recommend Skylar to anyone looking for a dog training program!

The staff was the heart of this restaurant. Everyone was so kind and made great suggestions for what we might want to try. I felt like I was a special guest in someone’s home, rather than customers walking in. I can’t wait to go back again soon. Thank you for the hospitality!

Their spanakopita pastries are delightful, but I loved sitting in the quiet attic writing a story for an English class while looking out the tiny window onto a cool autumn day. I'd give anything to go back there. Would absolutely recommend as a must-see in Matthews.

We got the beans, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, street corn, fried pickles and egg rolls as sides/starters. The fried pickles were soggy however it was a Door Dash order so that could have been the issue. The egg rolls were good. The mac and cheese and street corn were both good. The mashed potatoes were okay, but not great. We did not like the beans at all. Tried a bunch of sauces. They didn't come labeled so not sure what we liked. Would definitely go back for the ribs, egg rolls, and mac and cheese!

If I lived in N.C., Charlotte area this would be a go to place to relax, work, anmeet up with friends. My second time back in the area and had to return. Enjoyed it as much as the first time. Loved my Vermont Maple latte. I like that they don't charge extra for half-and-half. A welcome surprise.

The Italian beef was packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and served exactly the way it should be. The quality, freshness, and attention to detail really stand out. It’s not easy to find food that brings back memories of home when you’re hundreds of miles away, but Wrigley’s nailed it.
Living here in Charlotte, NC, I didn’t expect to find such an authentic taste of Chicago, but Wrigley’s exceeded all expectations. Mike is so friendly and the food was incredible.
