“Room was nice and got upgraded with my current Marriott status. However the vent in the bathroom I don't think has ever been cleaned! Also came back to 0 towels and had to go retrieve them. The UConn women's hockey team was apparently hoarding them all. The M lounge here was stocked with drinks but the snack and breakfast items were not even up to residence inn standards. Would stay here again as the location is great though.”

“Check in was easy and friendly service. My room was clean and quiet. Wi-Fi was good for streaming and video calls. I had an early flight, and the shuttle was running and there was even coffee available at 4:30 a.m., even though breakfast was not until 6 a.m. If I had fewer bags, I could have walked to the terminal. Everything I needed for this particular trip was provided by Fairfield!”

“Rooms are clean, standard affairs. Small flat screen. My only gripe with the room is the. mattresses here are very bouncy. Any time someone moves it feels like a boat rocking. The pool area is great. Nice hot tub, it didn't make me itchy. The 530 snacks and drinks rule, don't miss, plus it's really cool seeing a hotel's worth of people chilling in the lobby. They have a soda fountain and coffee available at all times. The breakfast is the best around. All around the best family hotel in the Columbus area. My kids love it.”

“SERVICE & CHECKIN Checkin speed could be a lot faster. Their welcoming hospitality + the friendly customer service certainly makes up for it. The fact that they accept Tap Pay & avoid using paper forms to complete checkin was also nice . Free early checkin offered alongside a generous 12pm standard checkout. Uncovered self parking is available on-site. LOBBY, ELEVATOR, CORRIDORS Exceptionally clean lobby with a relentless housekeeping staff! I enjoyed the cozy vibes & comfortable seats. Aside from the halls & doorways being extremely narrow... the transitions were beautiful & well-maintained. ROOM First impressions were a let down due to the odor in this room & lack of functional windows . Visually, it still appeared very clean. Dimensions were spacious, with sufficient closet space for an extended stay. The workspace was a sleeper & made for a very productive work week--A contender for best ergonomics of 2024. Dim lighting is really the only drawback; not enough coverage from overhead. TV & ENTERTAINMENT Not strong. Small SD TV with local programming & Spectrum DVR. The remote is slow & the UI is a struggle; changing channels too fast brings it down No smart capabilities either. BED A bit of effort, but decent. The mattress itself was more softer than firm & lacking on support. The pillows were a challenge: undersized for the mattress & insufficient in quantity. Loft was fine, just be prepared to stack them for even meager head support. Decent sleep overall. WI-FI & CELL RECEPTION Good cell signal throughout with 5G-uw performance (Verizon). Fast WiFi network for remote work & multitasking. It's unencrypted, so bring a travel router. --Performance-- Video streaming - average Online gaming - poor Video chatting - average --Nerd Stats-- 74-90 Mbps download 54-66 Mbps upload 0% packet loss 20 ms latency 6 ms jitter BATHROOM Beautiful design & high cleaning standards. I really like the backsplash & the space felt recently renovated. The shower experience was mostly wonderful; towels are just on the thinner side. Performant exhaust & strong water pressure was therapeutic. Bath products are also provided. Cons: The dreaded "Low toilet" is present here & Shower head is over due for a replacement. FOOD DoorDash friendly. In-room amenities: Large mini fridge, Mini microwave, Cuisinart coffee bar. Ice is available on the floor The breakfast offering was amazing; Cereal, juice bar, waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy. Instant oatmeal, eggs, yogurt, fruit, pastries. VERDICT Quiet, peaceful, productive. High cleaning standards & a lot of bang for your buck. I would recommend this property & could see myself staying here again. 4.5/5”

“Absolutely loved my stay here! Great size room, was on top floor. Watching the planes come in was pretty cool. Fitness center wasn’t bad, Breakfast was VERY GOOD. The coffee machine in breakfast area was out but all the staff there did everything they could to bring out more coffee and was very respectful. It was a very busy morning with it being a weekend and the service was great! Would definitely stay here again!”

“This place was exceptional! Every issue I had was either solved quickly or treated with patience until a solution was reached.The room was a nostalgic blast from the past! It reminded me of my parent's basement when I was younger. It was such a spitting image that I felt like I had to sneak my beers in through the window (would have been tough since we were on the 7th floor)The only thing the room was missing was a haze of stale cigarette (and other recreational inhalant) smoke that just hovers in place directly at eye level to make it look like you were in a dream state. Just like home.I am going to assume that most people wouldn't enjoy the smoke haze, but the little canned water 6 pack was a great touch.And I LOVE how there was a painting of white castle sliders hung up in the only place that makes sense...above the toilet. If you don't know why, then you should probably go to a local white castle to experience the reason behind that.”

“I always have a wonderful experience staying here at the red roof every single front desk person is very nice my rooms are always clean there is absolutely NO BED BUGS. Sonal who works at the front desk I love love love her she is so sweet and professional and has turned out to be a great friend.I would highly recommend this property they are so affordable and I have access to pretty much everything in the area shopping and food and lots of attractions”

“Staff were exceptional friendly. The women helping with breakfast service were absolutely wonderful and helpful. They went out of their way to help us find things to do in the area. Had trouble with the fold out bed and the staff were there to help with 3 minutes after telling the front desk. Would definitely stay again.Rooms: The King suite was great for 4. Two rooms gave us the space we needed.Food & drinks: The breakfast in the mornings were awesome with a big selection of food with the option of eating in dining section or taking it to your room.”

“The place was great. To me it was quiet and relaxing. The acting manager was great. With any place there will be minor things because everyone doesn’t follow the rules especially no smoking. I did smell cigarettes and weed. That is hard to police. I give two thumbs up!Rooms: They were quite sufficient for my needs. The wi-fi was good. Great cable selection. Would consider living there.Food & drinks: There were some nice restaurants nearby and plenty of fast food available.”

“Location is great, super easy access to the highway. The room was fine, there were water stains on the ceiling, and one of the outlets was basically falling out of the wall, but besides that it was fine. The price for three nights was super good. The breakfast was fine. The only complaint was that no one came to clean or change towels the whole time we were there. Not a deal breaker, but it was advertised that the room would be touched up each day.Would stay again!”

“The reason for the low review: the health department shut down the pool on the first day of our stay and they didn’t fix it for the whole stay (Thursday-Monday), the beds were super uncomfortable, and the breakfast was ok but the eggs were very soft (maybe they were frozen, idk) and the baked goods were kind of stale. From shift to shift, the staff didn’t seem to know what was going on. There was a sign about the pool being closed but second shift knew nothing about it and then first shift the next day also had no clue it was closed. The vending machines were also out of products. Also, the WiFi was horrible.”

“Had an excellent stay here. Front desk staff was friendly and got me check-in quickly. They also have complimentary coffee from 6-9 am which is a noteworthy perk.Property is your typical budget/no-fills motel. It's an older building so expect there will be noise from time to time. I have to have background noise to sleep so it doesn't really bother me but may put off some people. It was extremely cold during my visit and the heat in my room did an excellent job of keeping the room warm.Room also had a mini-fridge and microwave which I was not expecting. Did use the fridge and it did a great job of keeping my drinks cold.Room was clean and in good condition when I arrived, bathroom was clean and no issues with water/plumbing.Wifi worked great, I was able to connect with no issues and it was relatively fast. TV also worked without issue.There are a decent amount of restaurants nearby and within a 10 minute walk. Also close to Public Transit (COTA Lines 1 & 32).Again, great job and I'll definitely stay here again when I'm in town for concerts or work!”

“Family was staying there for my brothers parent's weekend. While I was in my grandparents room, the toilet stopped working so they had to send a plumber up. Since it was going to take a bit to fix, they were quick about getting them a new room and fixing the situation. Also thought the keycard digital key was pretty cool too.”

“So I checked-in and there’s signs literally everywhere saying the hot tub and jacuzzis are closed yet the pool works…… The water was cold but after working out you’ll want that water to be cold because your muscles joints whatever lock in hot water I know because I purposely do that to allow my body to work past the pain anyways the room was comfy and reminds me of English modern type I don’t fancy but not highly priced room service was excellent they even explained to me to never throw out the top cover so I ended up getting everything fresh I used the fitness room ate at the restaurant and had a margarita at the bar I enjoyed the breakfast buffet attached to my stay I have no complaints”

The acoustics and views were surprisingly very good even on the balcony. The ushers were exceptional even with the full house. The assistive listening devices were most appreciated.”
