βFolks, I give this place 10**** doesnβt matter which chap you asked a question, they knew the answer! Rare these daysβ itβs community stores like this that keep our countryβs economy going!! I am one those guys that had a lot questions an they gave me dummy proof answers! Thank you to the entire staff! From my count the employee at least 6 peopleβ letβs support our (neighbourhood hardware store!)

βless expensive than Canadian Tire with staff way more knowledgeable than Home Depot. Great local spot thatβs always had what I needed. They even let me open the package to try a tool before I bought it! Highly recommendβ
βI had an excellent experience at Thornhill Lawn today when purchasing a Toro snow blower. Eric was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, helping us choose the model that best fits our needs. The staff assembled the machine on-site, patiently showed us how to operate it, and even helped load it into our car. All the warranty details were also arranged in advance, making the whole process smooth and worryβfree.

Stopped into Mecko Supply Inc. today thinking Iβd just grab what I needed and head out. Instead, I walked into a place where the selection is greatβbut the customer service? Absolutely unmatched.
They offered me coffee and chocolate, and I jokingly said, βSure, Iβll take a sandwich.β
Most places would laugh it off.
Not these guys.
One of them asks if Iβm allergic to peanut butter (Iβm not), disappears, and comes back with a legit peanut butter sandwich. I meanβ¦ who does that? Incredible.
On top of that, their prices were noticeably better than the competition, and they stock actual brand-name productsβnot the bargain-bin stuff some suppliers try to push. Quality gear, fair prices, and people who treat you like a human being.
If youβre in the plumbing or hydronics world, Mecko should be your first stopβfull stop.
Iβll definitely be back!β
βI always hit Parkdale HH before I try any other place. Staff are super helpful, you can buy screws/nails/washer etc. by piece instead of a whole package, and if they don't have an item in, they'll order it and call you when it arrives.β
βEverything you could possibly ever need for kitchen/baking/foodservice. Itβs chaotic inside with narrow walkways BUT there are treasures in every nook and cranny. Take your time when perusing, there is so much to look at. I hope this place never closes, a Chinatown gem.β

βYou never really know what a person or a company is made of until there's a conflict to resolve. These folks know how to provide excellent customer service. They appear to be personally invested in shining brightly in their market place. It was a pleasure engaging with them.

βI love having a neighborhood hardware store. The staff are all friendly and helpful. They have a wide range of stock in a small footprint of a store. You can check online for availability of items before coming to the store.β
βI live nearby and have shopped here about a couple dozen times over the years. The staff here are a bit gruff (maybe gruff is too harsh a word? Reserved? Stoic?), but they're mostly very polite.
What matters is they always greet you at the door, and they always approach you to help you with what you need, no matter what it is. Their advice has always been spot-on. No other hardware store I've ever gone to had staff that ready, willing and able to help.
I love that they sell screws individually and all their screws are Robertson (?) too, cuz I'm sick of stripping or camming out on Phillips head (+) screws.β
βI cannot say better things about the staff and service I received at Markham Home Hardware. I went in looking to get some specialty keys cut (Canada Post mail keys & high security keys) and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they also can cut car keys as well. Knowing that I needed a spare, they were able to cut every key I needed and programmed my new spare car key as well. Truly an amazing group of people and would recommend them to everyone!β

βWent in the other day just browsing for some hardware, was instantly greeted with a warm smile from an extremely nice (and might i add very handsome) gentleman by the name of Ed! He was well versed with all the products and extremely personable! Ed took his time with me showing a multitude of different options and styles. Im not sure what role Ed plays within the company but he is worth his weight in gold! With his overall knowledge and kind demeanor he is an irreplaceable member of Upper Canada!β

βOutstanding customer service! We were shopping for a bathroom vanity, but the only box on the floor was labeled as having a defect. Patrick L. immediately stepped in and started exploring different options for us, going above and beyond to help. He even called his manager, Hussain, to assist.
In the end, Patrick found a second box in stock that was unopenedβand it was available at the same sale price! Hussain also ensured if there was any defect, the return/exchange policy was valid. Both Patrick and Hussain were incredibly helpful, efficient, and friendly throughout the entire process.
They also recommended having someone help us load the vanity into our car. Michael was wonderful and made sure everything was loaded safely with no issues at all.

βStopped in to get a small irregular replacement screw for a lock I bought there 10-years ago. One look at the photo and he had a replacement in my hands in under a minute. This is the expertise I love in a neighbourhood store.

βJoanne saved my life. I was driving my daily commute to work, everything as usual when disaster strikes. As I was driving across the 4 lane bridge over the water, an oil tanker is pitted by an out of control F-150. The oil tanker toppled, creating an explosion that melted steel and destroyed eardrums. I come to with my car teetering on the edge of the road, 40ft from the river rapids. Just as the car started slipping, and I prayed to all my known gods, Joanne appears from the smoke of the wreckage. She leaps towards my rear bumper and grabs hold of the cars frame with one hand, and the rail of the bridge with the other. The surrounding crowd starts chanting Joanne! Joanne! Joanne! This wasnt her first time. With the courage of Thor, and the strength of the Hulk, she pulls my 7800lbs G-Wagon back onto the road. I owe her my life. She also helped me find me find bumper button clips for my car. Thanks Joanne.β
