“This small towns big store is really remembering story for you. we were camp at Ivy lea campground of Thousend island. On the first day we discover other than icecream, you will not get almost abything in the park store. Park staff inform us about Lucky Dollar. Its a short drive and also LCBO is there. Lucky store run by a Tanzanian emigrant couple. They are very friendly. Second day of our camping we were looking for cilantro there. They show me way of another small town, where No frills is there. Lucky have almost everything - what you need in a small town, like Lansdowne. This store also only reciving centre of the area, for all alcoholic bevareges empty bottles.”

“This is a luxury bulk store. Everything is fresh and high quality, it’s hard to fault any of their products. No matter which one you try, it’s going to be top quality. The only downside is that you have to be ready to pay a premium! Other bulk stores have great products but The Source shines for its presentation and consistency. Try the ABC nut butter which is excellent and very addictive!”

You need to get on some of this bagnet, cause who cares about a low-fat diet when pork belly can be rendered this addicting? The skin is absolutely divine, twice-fried for a bubbly, crackly and crispy crunch, which is contrasted by the gooey layer of fat that just melts in your mouth, coating every orifice with a salivating porky aroma. The meat is undoubtedly tender and juicy, and the pungent savory flavours are balanced with a refreshingly sweet all-purpose sauce and an acidic vinegar sauce to cut through the fat. Maybe keto won't be so bad.”
“Mom and pop style bona fide Japanese grocery store. If you can't find it here, you will need to go to Japan because you won't find it in Ontario. PAT and T&T are great in their own right, but this is where you want to come if you need food uniquely Japanese. Prices are not cheap, but there are commonly sales and sale items. Everything you need to put together a Japanese meal. Rice cracker snacks, frozen section, pickles/condiments, sushi ingredients, soups, sauces, canned goods. Nice friendly and helpful people. You can even buy/rent a few videos here. Don't expect anything fancy and it is a small store. No problems parking or accessing by TTC, and it's a quick stop after going to Sherway. Where else can you find three different types of Japanese barley tea?”
“Favourite market in the area. Just moved to the neighbourhood so have been trying out all the stores around and keep coming back to this one. Produce is always fresh and for a small store they have everything we need. Owners are friendly too ?”

They have vegan evaporated milk for example, as well as many types of vegan cheese, vegan honey, snacks, beauty products, candy bars, vegan meat and desserts in the freezer. “I love this Danforth location and have been going here for years. Love their regular sales each month and always get various supplements and health products and foods.
I recently discovered their pasture raised eggs by Alderwood Farms and love the taste and rich orangey colour of the yolks. This deep colour is always an indication of the grass and bugs these happy chickens are eating outdoors! And I don't mind paying extra for these eggs that come from happy chickens because they are double the nutrients compared to standard eggs from grain-fed indoor caged chickens.
The staff here are also helpful and friendly. Big thanks to Eddy at the Danforth store!”

“I love Healthy Planet. I go mainly to the one on Islington. I used to have to go to several different health stores to get everything I need but with Healthy Planet they have everything I need and all at reasonable prices. They have a huge selection. I especially like the wide variety of fruits and vegetables that they have. I love the chocolate-raspberry shakes at the kitchen bar. They are the healthiest smoothies I've found anywhere. No added sugar. They taste fantastic. The entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. I highly recommend Healthy Planet.”
“Hole in the wall korean butcher. So many kimchi and banchan options which are reasonably priced. The frozen meats and marinated meats were pricey in my opinion. Would go back for special occasions/dinners.”

“I want to love this place, but they can’t seem to get their deliveries/supply issues sorted. Three times recently I’ve gone in and they have no milk (or only the large bagged milk).
When they have the basics in stock, this is a great neighborhood grocery and an alternative from the big chains.”

First, please let me say... This review is long overdue, as I have been a fan of Balkan Express for years!
Several years back, I found myself thinking about and MISSING my Baba's Zelnick.
I decided to put a message out to all of my fellow Macedonian friends on Facebook asking the question: "Where can I find/buy the Best Zelnick, in the GTA?"
The place that had the highest number of references was Balkan Express!
My dear friend, and fellow Macy, Katharine Hollinsworth, used to live right by Balkan Express and when she wrote to tell me how much she loved the food there, I knew I had to make the trip from Mississauga.
I called ahead and requested a large Zelnick. When I arrived, they had it ready, and maybe I shouldn't be saying this... but they gave me all kinds of wonderful samples, and I absolutely fell in love with the owners and the Balkan Express!
I asked them to make me another fresh Zelnick and took it to my father Tom (Born in Zhelevo), and he said: "This is just like my Mom used to make!" I can 'second' that!
The Zelnick is just like my Baba used to make! ❤️
Balkan Express is highly recommended!!!
