“Absolutely adorable shop for east european pastries. Initially, we were hoping to find some medovik when walking into the store, but they didn't have it. The lady behind the counter kindly introduced us to cherry pie, cream roll with cheese and a lot of other stuff.. We got a bunch of them. They tasted very homemade and delicious. “This place is good. By good I mean top notch convenience store good. It has a lot of hygiene products and has the best snacks and 5 fridges full of drinks, they even have aloe Vera drinks and tomato juice. Surprisingly, this place has ramen! There are a lot of types such as cup o noodles all the way to kung fu ramen. The store has a stationary section with scissors, pencils, erasers, and chargers. The place has lottery tickets (opened on June 3 ) and a place near the entrance with a couple bracelets and jewelry. The flowers are a reasonable price, and at the entrance to the store there is a bus stop, and one bike stand. If you’re planning on stopping by here, you don’t even have to lock your bike. I really recommend to go here for road trip stops or while going on a bike ride for a fuel up.”
“Excellent Service and a Wonderful Personal Touch
We have always had a great experience at McEwen Fine Foods. The staff consistently provide excellent service, particularly in the prepared foods section and the bakery. What really stands out is how many of the staff take the time to recognize their customers and go out of their way to help. It creates a welcoming, personal feeling that you don’t always find in a grocery store.
We especially love their roasted chickens. When organic chickens are available, we are always happy to purchase them. This past weekend, I ordered two organic chickens, and Natasha took my order. She was so helpful and made the process very easy. She recognized me, understood what I was looking for, took care of the order, and then sent me a message when the chickens were ready. That kind of personal attention makes shopping so much more convenient and enjoyable, and I really appreciated it.
I also want to mention the wonderful lady who prepares the sushi. She is always very helpful and accommodating, and her friendly service is another example of the personal touch that makes McEwen such a pleasure to visit.
Chef Suren (Bakery annd Catering) also deserves recognition. A few weeks ago, he helped me with relatively short notice and went out of his way to accommodate me. He made sure that the cake was packed in a way that it would remain unharmed and was there to give it to me personally when as promised. I really appreciated his willingness to accommodate us.
Even the staff at the cash are consistently friendly and do everything they can to assist customers. Overall, there is a genuine sense that the staff know and recognize their customers and are willing to make an extra effort to help whenever they can.
It’s always nice to walk into a store where you feel welcomed and where the service feels personal rather than transactional. Thank you to the entire McEwen Fine Foods team for creating that experience. We truly appreciate the wonderful service and look forward to continuing to shop there!”

“Big improvement since the new ownership took over! The store is noticeably cleaner, the shelves are fully stocked, and there’s a lot more variety available now compared to before. “Only issue is they used to have a cart that had a pull out handle and wheels. Now its the same basket. You go to any Asian supermarkets and they all use the small cart.”

“The bakery consistently offers fresh bread, I love the hot Turkish style bread and pides they make there, I also love the crispy simit they make which is the istanbul style very common in Turkey and great for breakfast with cheese and butter and also the butcher section is outstanding, with fully halal options. Prices are absolutely reasonable. The staff are welcoming, and there’s a solid range of imported products. Most of the products are imported from Turkey, they are excellent products. For quite a long perios Istanbul Fine Foods have been my most preferred store, I alos like the variety of the products they offer, I’ll definitely continue to visit Istanbul Fine Foods, it is my favorite supermarket.”
“I have just moved to North York, and walking distance to Leo's market. It's a beautiful, European style little market but provides everything from gelato icecream to fresh sandwiches, salads and hot, delicious food to satisfy all diverse tastes ? It's also a wonderful place for cakes and cookies and delectable pastries! My delight was finding fresh vegetables and fruits, and a variety of breads with a deli and fresh fish, chicken and other meats, and so much more! All the people who work there are friendly and super helpful. I recommend that you visit Marcheleo's Market and you'll be tempted to shop there everyday!”
“I purchased Joud Bakeries baklava from Longos and it's delicious!! It is the perfect amount of sweet and somehow stays so crispy for weeks. I wish this bakery was closer to me so that I could purchase it directly from the bakery. Highly recommend!!”

“5/5 for GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICES AND HONEST BEHAVIOUR.They erroneously overcharged my husband by $4. He didn't even notice.An hour later, the phone rang - the Adjumoni was apologising on the phone (in Hanguel-mal) about overcharging us and please please make sure we get the $4 when we return again. I said: "ken chan ah yoh" (don't worry about it) and she was adamant about us receiving the $4. She must have taken our phone number off the points card.This is an example of honest proprietors and staff. Good people.Tae dan hi kamsah hamnidah!”

“Great grocery store. Many options available in produce meat and staples. Fresh fish available as well. You can find things from all around the world here. Cashier are very quick. Staff are able to speak English Mandarin and Cantonese. Clean store though some isle can be narrow. Always a good sale on. No free WiFi. Parking can be difficult to find.”
