“Is this the best jewelry store in all of Portland? Yes. Yes it is. First of all, they have an incredible selection of both jewelry made by the owner as well as imported jewelry from other amazing artists. They also have a ton of other cool stuff like gorgeous perfumes, candles, trinkets, art, etc. I always find something I love when I go and find it my number one place to shop if I'm looking to get a unique gift for someone. Second, the service is so beyond incredible. The staff remembered so much about me and my husband even though it had been months in between visits. They are all so friendly and helpful. I even had an earring break and they had a replacement created and shipped at no cost. I really have nothing but great things to say. They opened a fine jewelry store behind their main location and I do plan on getting some replacement wedding rings for our anniversary from them because they are gorgeous and, I think, reasonably priced. “I visited their sister store in Bend, made a purchase there, but decided to exchange it when I got back home to Portland.I was having trouble finding my size in a pair of jeans, and talked with the guy there. He spent time checking the store inventory while I looked around and found a couple of options for me to try on. In the end, with their help found a pair that fit and I liked. I felt like their customer service was on par with what I would expect at a nicer men's clothing store, which is appreciated.Their selection of brands is more niche than anywhere else I typically shop which I liked. When I'm looking to find something that's more unique and maybe hard to find elsewhere. The style is outdoorsey, but also have a good mix of classic menswear looks.”

“I like this store! They've curated items from Japan just like a museum would curate things, but they're not just for display, although their displays in store are still pretty cool! But these include clothing items, daily necessities, teaware, and so much more! Plus, the way everything is laid out in store is really fun to walk around! “I've always loved Porch Light and make a point to stop in if I'm in the Pearl District. Feeling 4 stars vs. 5, because of my recent visit where I stopped in to search for an indoor plant. Although I didn't need much, if any assistance in making a selection, I was surprised that I wasn't greeted or given a hello while shopping. It just felt so weird to have the salesperson say absolutely nothing with their head down during the entire 10 minute stay. I was also the only shopper in the store. I ended up making a bigger purchase in the end and the person behind the counter only asked, "receipt?" in a flat tone. It was disappointing not to receive a thank you or just a simple acknowledgment for stopping in and shopping, at my point. I love the store, the brands/plants, and the beautiful, curated offerings, but I'm kind of bummed on Porch Light because of this experience.”
“The people who work here are so nice! I thought I'd take advantage of the no sales tax in Oregon, so I took myself shopping since the Nordstrom near me in OC have very snooty sales associates. I wasn't picky, I knew what I wanted, in, out, easy peasy. The associates were very accommodating in helping me get everything and weren't pretentious unlike Chanel across the way. The associates in Chanel looked like they didn't even want to be bothered with me and only one smiled at me because he saw I was actually making some purchases, so that's when I took my patronage over to Gucci. I have a Gucci bag back home that I've loved for years, so I the answer was easy. Love this location!”
