“Right off the free in Tualitan, made it very easy to get to Portland but the convenience of not staying in a super crowded place. The outside patio of our room was a very nice spot to relax in the evening, it was particularly warm when we were there so reading in a chair was a nice way to end the day. We had the pool all to ourselves and complimentary coffee in the morning was a great way to start the trip back home. We would definitely stay here again!”

“I recently stayed at this hotel, and I can confidently say it was an outstanding experience in every way.

Rooms:
The room was incredibly spacious, modern, and spotless. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the amenities were top-notch. I appreciated the attention to detail, from the high-quality toiletries to the plush towels and crisp linens. The room also had a beautiful view, which made relaxing after a long day even more enjoyable. The temperature control was perfect, and the room was always quiet, providing a restful environment for sleep.

Service:
The service was exceptional from start to finish. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure I felt comfortable and taken care of. Check-in was quick and easy, and any request I had was promptly attended to. Housekeeping did an excellent job keeping the room neat.

Location:
The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore local attractions, restaurants, and shops. We were staying because the hospital was nearby and had an extended stay at this hotel.... Public transportation is conveniently nearby, but I found walking around to be just as pleasant. The hotel offered valet parking or street parking was available as well. It’s a nice, clean area, so despite being centrally located, I enjoyed a peaceful stay.

Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and would choose to stay here again!”

“We rented a studio with balcony mid July. The room is big with a fully functional kitchen and colorfully decorated. Plenty of restaurants near by within walkable distance. Street car station is right outside the hotel. The hotel provides free passes and we toured downtown riding in a loop. Hotel within 2 miles from the rose garden. Room is quiet at night when the street cars stop running. Rates are reasonable, and there is free private parking. Highly recommended.”

“I have stayed in this hotel. Many, many times enough to earn three or four free nights. So I have stayed in almost every room in the hotel, and all of the alarm clocks are set for 6 am... I'm assuming they want you to get up and get out. That's why i'm taking one star off the.Review. Other than that I love this hotel”

“I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. I stayed in the bunks and they were really comfortable for the price paid. The linens were clean but there was trash behind the lock box.
The area is really walkable but has a homeless population. They pretty well stick to themselves though. The building is locked 24/7 and you either buzz in or use your key.
There was a silverfish in the bathroom. But that isnt too surprising because it's an old building. No signs of mold anywhere. The bathrooms were really clean and the conditioner was really nice.
Definitely going to stay here again.”

“Quiet hotel. Pleasent staff. No pool or hot tub. Only valet parking but close parking g garages priced decent. Unfortunately the tavern was closed so we missed having that option”

“4.5/5 rounded up

Had a great staycation here this past weekend.

The room was clean and nicely set up. Bed was comfy and they had the basics covered: coffeemaker, robes, and toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hand soap).

Service was excellent. Every staff I interacted with was friendly and helpful. The room was ready a few hours early, and when I asked for a noon check out, they were like, sure thing!

Room service is available but very limited, so better eat nearby or order delivery. Tons of options within walking distance.

Only downside wasn’t really the hotel’s fault, tho it would've been nice if the hotel had better soundproofing. There’s a bar/club at Sentinel Hotel across the street, and it got annoyingly loud around 2 am on Saturday night (or I guess early Sunday morning). Woke up to ungodly sounds of yelling, drunk people being rowdy, cars honking, etc. If you’re a light sleeper, I’d recommend asking for a higher floor or a room facing Alder instead of 11th.

Overall, I’d definitely stay here again. Great option as long as you’re okay with a bit of late-night street noise.”

“This was such a nice little hotel for the price abd location!!! We are from Washington and wanted to take a weekend vacation to see the Oregon zoo since our son wants to be a zoo keeper. The suite we stayed in was very clean, comfy and quiet! There were 4 of us so my dad that came with us slept on the sleeper sofa with my son and he said it was super comfy and that he slept like a log! The staff was always smiling and helpful with us and even laughed at my dad's terrible jokes! Parking is tight but we managed well with our kia Sorento just fine and you couldn't ask for better inside the city like that. We will definitely come back for when we make another zoo trip! Thank you park lane staff for helping make my son's first hotel stay and out of state trip memorable!”

“Love the unusual layout of the corner room. Splendid bar on the ground floor. So many things to walk to. Flawless blackout curtains for sleeping in. Parking included!

Update January 2026. Still awesome. Hey Love bar in the lobby has excellent cocktails and noshes.
Great neighborhood for shops, dining, just a ton of small businesses (bike shop, coffee place, botanical goods). Also, as a guest you can take advantage of discounts on many of those local businesses. Felt totally safe walking around at all hours.”

“This is the most convenient place to stay when I come visit my son in PDX. The self-service breakfast is great. The rooms are in need of some updating, and the pillows esp are not to my liking. All the rooms I've tried have claw foot tubs which require some agility. It's a comfortable place, i just bring my own pillow now. Wish the windows could open in the room i recently had, even with the heat turned down to 66 degrees it was very stuffy.”

“What a fantastic hotel. Loved every interaction with the staff from the front desk, security, client services, restaurants and event support. Everyone was so lovely and appeared to enjoy their jobs. The hotel itself feels unique in its own mini eco-system mixed with design, art and thoughtful touches. I appreciated every detail. I felt safe, supported and proud to sponsor an event at the hotel. The room was lovely, clean and quiet.”

“The Sentinel was so welcoming, from the first email that said how glad they were that we chose their hotel to the wonderful staff that completely cared for us likewise were long lost friends. We went to a concert at the Chrystal Ballroom and the hotel was perfectly located for grabbing delicious food on the way or in the hotel itself. Just a truly wonderful experience and we would stay again in a heartbeat!

Big plusses for us were the comfy beds and delicious warm showers with great water pressure: )”

“2 things: the clothes steamer blew up because it was so clogged, scalding water all over me... whatever tho, the only other thing is 3 am the guests were hanging out in the hallway and being SUPER loud. But... I loved the feel, the vibe, the rooms, and their flexibility. All hotels should be more like them..”

“Exceptional Stay – European Charm, Great Food & Perfect Location

AC Hotel Portland Beaverton was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The hotel has a sleek, European feel that’s both modern and welcoming. Everything was exceptionally clean, and the staff were friendly and professional.

The breakfast is truly worth mentioning—just $15 gets you a quality buffet plus one made-to-order item from the menu. The food was delicious, especially for a hotel, and felt like a great value.

The location is perfect for getting around, and having free parking is a huge plus in the area. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely return!”

“We stayed here from June 26-July 3, 2025 and selected this hotel for its proximity to the Portland Rock Gym. We absolutely loved the location!

Parking is relatively easy to find. Street parking for 2 hour chunks during the day. Safe parking garages about 1 block away (max charge is $15/day). There’s also a small surface lot behind the hotel for a little more. According to the front desk staff, they no longer offer valet parking.

If you don’t rent a car (and want to go to Portland), the MAX train stop is a block away. Super convenient!

The hotel itself is clean and new(ish). Our group enjoyed hanging out on the two outdoor patios.

Complimentary breakfast was convenient. Our favorites were the hard boiled eggs, yogurt with berry sauce, and hash browns.

My small complaints:
1. The side our room was on was by the train tracks and the train noise woke us up a few times. Next time, I would try to get a room on the other side of the hotel.
2. We love taking the stairs instead of the elevator but these stairs lead you directly outside so we took the elevator more than we’d prefer.
3. There’s no recycling!!! Why? It’s Oregon! We left our can recycling by the trash and hoped that housekeeping recycled it.”

“Staff very helpful, room very big but its an older hotel so not the most modern bathrooms and worn interior. Free reception in evening is nice and great breakfast buffet but they need more lighting in breakfast room. Biggest complaint was air conditioning in rooms was weak and cant control room temp.”

“A good hotel with a few drawbacks that make it hard to give a 5-star. The rooms were clean, the shower got hot and had good water pressure, the bed was comfortable and the temperature control in the room worked well. The only things I disliked was the windows and the lack of sound-proofing. The windows specifically have a view of the tent and also the walkway past your room, not great for privacy so the blinds are a must.

For a reasonable price, with great location and service I'd be happy to go again when I'm in the area.”
