“One of the best experiences we've had at a hotel in so long! An incredible experience from check-in to check out. The daily complementary happy hour is so lovely and the staff goes above and beyond for anything you need. Rooms were nicely kept, great restaurant and bar inside. We won't stay anywhere else when we are in Pittsburgh.”

“Excellent stay at the Brownsville rd B&B. We came with two dogs on our Anniversary weekend and the host was very accommodating. The rooms were spacious and the neighborhood is very nice. Coming from Columbus Ohio we were not used to all the hills but this hotel has a very nice flat and semi private front yard with a large porch. The dogs loved running around the house and we had a wonderful full service breakfast. Highly recommend if you are looking for a place to stay in Pittsburgh.”

“Cute hotel with history as a religious and neighborhood center years ago. "Edgy" neighborhood after dark. Questionable front desk practices regarding handling of credit cards. Overnight clerk made a physical paper xerox copy of my credit card with my drivers license. I understand about my license but when questioned about copying my Visa card, I was told they keep it for their records. On a piece of paper that lays around on the desk for any employee to see? Forever? Heck no. This is how money and identities get stolen. I made him give me the portion with my CC info right away. He didnt need it for their records, my CC is already kept in their software (which is concerning). Day clerk when I checked out, said that copying credit cards is not their policy. I have stayed at the Priory before. It's very close to the hospital where I work 4 days each month (40 hotel nights per year in Pittsburgh). Convenient. Nice front desk staff but something sketchy happened to me there regarding my credit card. They do not even have a chip reader on the counter for you to use either. Employees complain about the software they use, I wonder if it's even secure. Lax business practices with your money and identity.”
“Perfect neighborhood if you want to get away for the weekend, especially if you don't want to talk to anyone. Very happy with the fact it was self-service. The rooms are absolutely lovely, and while we had some TV issues at first it was quickly settled. Our room didnt come with an ice bucket, but we made do. Would recommend”
“Centrally located. I was in a gloriously spacious suite. The property feels historic, so maybe not the most modern of decor, but they have plenty of outlets, comfy bed, and nice big bathroom. The lobby is grand. The staff is very helpful! There are several places to get a drink or nibble, but be aware that the pastry shop isn't open every day or all day.”
“Simply magical!!! The Priory Hotel and The Pittsburgh Grand Hall is truly one of the most beautiful venues for our daughters wedding. Rebecca and her staff go above and beyond in every way to make sure your day is beyond anything you could ever imagine. From the perfect venue setting, to the food being outstanding, to the historic hotel which becomes your home away from home for the weekend. The Hotel and Grand Hall were impeccable, our guests commented how their rooms were spotless and the staff could not have been more accommodating. The Bridal Suite was amazing for the girls to get ready for the big day. We used The Monk Bar as a gathering place each day and it was a wonderful intimate setting for family and friends to meet. I truly do not have enough words to use to express our gratitude to the staff at The Priory for giving my daughter a wedding of her dreams. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!!!!”
“This was an amazing place. Breakfast was fantastic, it was great having good company as well, to give us ideas of what to see around the burgh. It was a very short walk to Heinz Field and the National Aviary. The train was right next to the football field and you can ride for free and get across the river to the south side. It is sad that it has been sold, hopefully it continues to be a bed and breakfast.”

“Loved the stay, staff was very polite and helpful every interaction, even when I called to get a receipt a few weeks later. Room was clean and very nice. When the trains go past across the street you can occasionally hear them but not horribly.”

“We had our wedding at this hotel and could not have been happier. The food, venue, coordination and planning was all amazing. Zach helped coordinate our party throughout the day and consistently checked in on us, as well as the servers and employees. Our guests loved staying onsite as well, all of the rooms and architecture is so unique and beautiful.”

“We stayed here for around 15 days and had a pleasant experience. The room included a kitchen with utensils provided, which was very convenient. Additional items like a grinder and waffle maker were available on request at no extra cost. The property also has a common area with washers and dryers, as well as a gym for everyone to use. Housekeeping is done on a weekly basis. Overall, a comfortable and well-equipped stay!
Walkability: Walmart, Target, T-Mobile, Best Buy, Costco

“Stayed here about a month ago for my friend’s birthday to see Wicked the musical and the staff/ hotel was phenomenal! The Benedum Theater was a short walk with lots of food options nearby as well. When we were checking in we told the front desk staff that we were going to see Wicked; they were SO kind and sent us themed cocktails to our room! ?? The view from our room was gorgeous too. Overall amazing stay and would definitely go back!”

“Definitely always my first choice now. Just across the street from the Pirate's stadium, it is a good area. A lot of amenities are within walking distance. We couldn't be happier with our experience. We look forward to coming back again!”

“Blaze, Nick and Danny are the MVPs. I travel a lot for work and this is the one Marriott lobby where I feel like I'm hanging out with the staff instead of eating at an establishment. They have a great crew to come down and eat/drink around after a long day at work. Cannot praise the night crew enough!
The rooms are clean, noise from the freeway is minimal (might be worse on lower floors but on the 4th it's fine), the shower is hot and they have all of your standard amenities.
Be prepared to pay for parking but it is reasonable.”

“I am impressed with their team. They are friendly, courteous and helpful, especially the young lady in the breakfast area. The room is spacious and the furnishings comfortable. The facility is clean and maintained other than expected wear and tear.
I have one drawback but it is not under control of the Hampton. The traffic pattern is confusing, complicated and congested. Someone needs to seriously observe what happens in this area.
That said, I anticipate I will return to this motel in future visits.”

“Hotel was nice and clean. Room is nice and actually sort of unique. Vaulted ceilings great showers. Offer food and full bar. Nice environent. Very professional... could have been a bit more friendly, but that's not a bad thing. Overall, couldn't say much bad about this place. Great experience and great value for what youre getting... I will certainly stay here again.”
“I just want to say that having just finished our trip on the GAP trail and to receive the warm welcome from Keisha was the best. We were tired and she was so helpful and kind. Our room was so comfortable and we were able to wash our camp clothes. In the morning we had a lovely breakfast. Overall it was a very nice experience.
Thanks again Keisha

“Despite the difficult circumstances around the snowfall, the location was perfect. The attendants accommodated us the best way possible and did not charge us for the full reservation after the event we were there for was canceled and we left the hotel earlier than expected.”
“I had an incredible stay at the Hampton Inn Pittsburgh-Downtown, and Holly at the front desk made it truly unforgettable. She was absolutely AMAZING! Her friendly and welcoming spirit is unmatched—you can tell she genuinely cares about every guest who walks through the door.
The rooms were clean, comfortable, and exactly what you’d want for a relaxing stay, but what stood out the most was the level of service. Holly, along with the rest of the team, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.
If you’re looking for a great location paired with exceptional hospitality, I highly recommend staying here. Thank you, Holly, for setting the standard for what true customer service should be!”
