Delicious food, fun atmosphere (especially on a nice day), and we had a wonderful server (didn't catch his name - but he was great and made the whole experience so much better). All around, great casual dining experience and worth the wait. Good drinks, too!

2063 Middle St, Sullivan's Islandfirst time visiting here. Gelato was very creamy and light. ingredients seemed fresh. I got pistachio since so many positive reviews but I found a strange aftertaste. I would not order it again. also got almond biscoff which was very good with bits of candied pecans i believe! hubby tried stratchiatelli which was just ok , a little bland, did not taste a vanilla flavor IMO. I would go back to try other flavors. Gelato cookie sandwiches did look very good.

2019 Middle St, Sullivan's IslandI stopped here to grab a quick bite before hitting the road- I was deciding between here and getting a fish sandwich and fries nearby, and I'm SO glad I chose the Co-op! Very nice staff. Their tuna salad sandwich is the best I've ever had. It wasn't too mayo-y, had a ton of tuna, pickles, and a great kick ?️. Absolutely flavor packed! I also got a dirty chai latte that was delicious and not super sweet. I'll definitely go out of my way to come back.

The Obstinate Daughter
2063 Middle St, Sullivan's IslandMake sure to get a reservation ahead of time because this place is very popular. The ambiance inside is great. It’s dimly lit but still buzzing with energy, which makes it feel lively without being overwhelming.
The vodka pasta was amazing and probably the best I’ve had. The pizza was just okay for us, but we ordered one of the more unique combinations, so that may have been part of it.
Even so, I still highly recommend making the trip out to Sullivan’s Island for this spot. It definitely lived up to the hype.

Poe's Tavern
2210 Middle St, Sullivan's IslandFor anyone curious about the connection between Edgar Allen Poe and South Carolina, he was stationed at Fort Moultrie during his military service. As a Poe fan myself, I was immediately intrigued by this restaurant and we decided it would be a great lunch place. Turns out, it was even better than we were expecting! My wife had a chicken sandwich, which she enjoyed, coupled with fries, which she loved. I agree, the fries were fantastic! I had my best meal of our South Carolina trip, the Rue Morgue. A burger patty sat atop a bed of fries and was covered with their chili and queso. Absolutely delicious. Well worth the visit!

Republic Ice Cream

Only “issues” I had were: restroom availability, not a lot of unique flavors and or options, and it was kind of pricey - $9 for ice cream in a waffle cone, and one can buy a quart of ice cream & a box of waffle cones for that price. I can understand the principles of having prices marked up like that, but if I’m going to spend that kind of money on ice cream, it better be some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had.
