They were amazing, they immediately greeted us and got us set up. Our tech -Megan - was the best and comes highly recommended. 3357 Business Cir, North CharlestonI’ve known Charlie for nearly 25 years(!), and in all that time, we’ve never hurt for conversation thanks to our shared love for all things music and dogs. So, when I found myself at the beach with nowhere to house my Maggie May during a vacation-rental switcharoo (and heatwave, naturally), I knew just the person to call.
This facility is massive and clean. Tons of indoor and outdoor play space, top-of-the-line kennels, and a pool, to boot! Our rental ended up being ready immediately after dropping Maggie off, but I was so impressed with the CDCC that I decided to leave her there to play rather than sit in a hotel room. And, since we were vacationing on Folly, Charlie even gave Maggie a lift to his West Ashley location to ease my pick-up commute!
I knew Charlie would only offer the best - but I’m truly blown away by what he’s built. If you have any reservations about sending your pup to him, let them go. He’s the best!

Charleston Dog House
2360 Air Park Rd, North CharlestonI recently boarded my dog at CHS DH. It was Labor Day weekend so it was definitely busy when I first got there. I was a bit thrown off by how loud it was but the workers reminded me that holidays are just busier. I noticed that the dogs are kept in crate like spaces which isn’t mentioned on their site. However, the dogs I saw looked comfortable! They also let you bring stuff from home. I made sure to bring my dog a blanket, and some toys which definitely helped. After leaving him there, I was a bit nervous so I messaged their Facebook page to see if they could update me on my dog. They answered immediately with feedback that could only come from someone keeping a good eye on my pup. They even sent me pictures! I felt so much better. When I picked him up the spot was super quiet! There was minimal barking. I was greeted very nicely and received feedback about my dogs stay there. He looks great and is super happy. CHS DH must have done something right for this pupper! I definitely will be back.

Notably there's a terrace to eat outdoora. Also, alcohol is served after 10 am.

COAST Brewing Company
1250 2nd St N, North CharlestonGreat place for a Saturday afternoon; arrived just as it opened at noon. Within an hour it was filling up, and with good reason. They really do food right here, paired with a small compliment of well crafted beers. It’s great when an establishment doesn’t try to do too much at the expense of doing things well.
We got the green chorizo tacos that came with an outstanding tomatillo salsa on corn tortillas. Placed a little lime on top, finished with street style cilantro and white onions.
Also tried a couple of burgers. Their special of the day was the Kraut Burger, we had that with the tallow fried potatoes. Compliments on the Normandy Bakery bun, which was pleasantly intact throughout the meal. It didn’t fall apart or get soggy. We also had the Coast Grass-fed Burger with tallow fried cheese curds.
Laid back atmosphere, with quick service. We polished off our meal with a few pints, and highly recommend the Vienna Lager currently being served.
Couldn’t find a thing to mark them down on. Eat here.

My friend said they have the best quesadilla he's ever eaten (carne asada). I highly recommend the crunchy beef and braised chicken taco. We got the Friday special to go - chicken bacon ranch chalupa (see pic).
They have V/GF options too which is soooo appreciated.
