“Everything you can’t get at Home Depot you get here. First of all you can get directed to what you’re looking for. Better yet you don’t have to search or wait for someone to help you, and they all are extremely knowledgeable. If you tell them your problem, they will direct you to the proper tools and even assemble them sometimes for you if assembly is required. It’s a friendly local store. It may be 1/10 the size of Home Depot, so there is a trade-off in terms of selection. And they don’t have all of the categories that Home Depot has. But they do get you to the right tools for your project. For handiwork they generally have what I need.”

“I visited this Ace store a few days ago just to pick up a few screws for a ceiling fan installation. A young man in the aisle helped me to find the right ones, so I headed to the counter to check out. I had rushed out of the house so fast, I didn't have my wallet, so I asked the woman behind the counter (Michele, Store Manager) to hold the bag of screws until I returned with my wallet. She simply said. "Take them... you can pay me the next time I'm in the store." So nice! And she saved me a bunch of time. Would that have happened at a big box store? I sincerely doubt it. That sort of personal touch is why I'll keep going back there. Thanks, Ace!”

“I special ordered some deck boards. I made the mistake and ordered 16 foot lengths thinking this would save my labor time. I had a 12 foot trailer and tried to use a pallet to prop the back up. They were too flimsy. I am not paying $80 to get them delivered. It took a little time but Richard delivered them on a 20 foot flatbed and unloaded them exactly where I wanted. After all the pain in the butt this solution worked out well. I appreciate the perseverance of the Home Depot Folks in making this happen. I get that it is a big box store but they did go above and beyond and always had professionalism and courtesy and helping me.”

“Every plant under the sun except Eucalyptus, which I happen to be looking for. They ward off spiders, so I was trying to get them because there is a rich history of Spiders vs Composers (as they famously took the life of Berg) that I want to avoid. There's even a type of song called a Tarantella where you play it after someone gets a spider bite so they frantically dance around so the venum will come out”
