“My experience with art direct has been phenomenal! I have stopped by multiple times to discuss various prints for my wedding including a portrait for guests to sign around, custom framing options, photo scanning/printing, and prints for signage like my welcome table, bar sign etc. Each employee has been extremely informative, kind and helpful but my experience with Geo on Saturday was top notch. She spent over an hour working with me, and never made me feel like an inconvenience or as if I’m taking too much of her time. She was eager to help, listened to my thoughts and concerns, answered all my questions and made extremely helpful suggestions. Geo even helped get some my prints to me same day so that I can check off some of my stuff wedding to-dos and feel good about it! For my venue portrait print specifically, Geo helped work through the sizing and coloration of my photo making it better than I could have imagined and payed attention to the details Can’t wait to keep working with her & the rest of the art direct team.”
“I brought a signed copy of The first to die at the end, and I live all the way in Canada it came so fast, I am extremely happy with the presentation and safety transportation absolute 1000/10 business they left a little note too so sweet definitely recommend, small business are always the way thanks guys my brother is going to love it for Christmas!!!”
“My first time in this place! I was so impressed. The building itself is very cleverly done!
I walked around looking at ALL LOCAL ART, it is beautiful and VERY Professional! This is a very powerful gallery!
Go!!”
“Had a big old David Bowie poster needs framing, took it in, Steve helped, offered professional, honest and good advice, really reasonably priced and quick turnaround. Highly recommend!”
“Jenny was the best! I was just craving a new tat and she was able to squeeze me in! She was so thorough in making sure it was perfect and exactly what I wanted I can’t thank her enough for her patience!! I love my new tat so much! The studio had such a good vibe and everything was clean and organized- Def will be back for more”
“I highly recommend the Ao5 Gallery. Their friendly and knowledgeable staff were very helpful, and they have a wide collection of art. The first time that I went to the gallery, since I was interested in Dali works, the owner took me to the Dali room and discussed the works that I was interested in and discussed various artwork on display. Also, I am afraid sometimes when I buy art on-line, since I might not be buying authentic pieces. But all of the Ao5 Gallery pieces are authenticated. Finally, the Ao5 Gallery has pieces that are only $10 to very expensive pieces, and they also do great framing. If you have time, I highly recommend that you stop by the Ao5 Gallery when you are at or close by the Arboretum.”
“I had a private 2 hour session with my boyfriend and it was an amazing experience! Grisha worked hard to both teach and guide so we were able to create the pieces more independently. We created bowls, flowers, mushrooms and more! I would absolutely recommend this experience as well as Grisha as an instructor!”
“I have ordered from this company before and they have done wonderful every time!! With my banner and my new prints, Mindzai has been wonderful to order from!! Their customer service is also fantastic!”

“The Cathedral of Junk is on the private property of the artist. It closes at 5pm. It's incredibly creative and I have no idea how the artist was able to build the structure to such a grand scale. Do note that the site is free but the artist takes donations in the form of cash and venmo. Cashapp and Zelle is not available.”
“The absolute best toy store in the world. They have a wonderful selection for all ages, and the staff is amazing. I was having trouble finding a specific tea set for my daughter in the store, and the staff took the time to find it for me. Love, love, love!!”
“What an amazing experience!
We had the chance to make our own bowls from scratch, including painting them. All in, the experience was very hands-on with as much support as we wanted from the instructors. I’m so impressed with how they turned out! The bowls are now painted and we pick them up in six weeks.
Highly recommend this for any beginner!”
“This is the epitome of self expression as art; and all in and around it is a part of this majestic artistic organism that is life- all forms of healing and philosophy derive from this place- and what moment better to find your seat of self expression than this?”
“Always worth seeing, this community-centered gallery features rotating exhibits of female artists. The gallery often participated in Austin's annual museum day.
The building itself is fascinating too, originating as a grocery store in the 1890s. One side of the gallery features several large pages of glass facing across a shallow grass lawn punctuated by an artistic fountain.”
“Excellent art gallery at the corner of the main building in the larger canopy complex.
Exhibit openings here are warm and welcoming, a way to see the proprietors and see people browsing the art with price lists in hand. Sometimes you are fortunate enough to hear an artist telling people about their work. The back of the gallery is fun to explore as well, keeping work from previously highlighted artists. The gallery participates in the monthly canopy open days 1-4pm every first Saturday.
There is a large free parking lot wrapping around the building.”
“I love this historical place. It is now a museum that carries only handmade unique arts and crafts made by several local artists and artisans. Great shopping place if you are looking to buy a Texas souvenir or if you are a tourist art collector.
They have many fun cultural celebrations several times a year for all ages.
You will be greeted by friendly and welcoming staff. Beautiful atmosphere and great history learning experience about the Old bakery.”
“My son has had such a lovely experience taking 2 weeks of 3 hour art classes here. The projects are so engaging and fun for the kiddos! My environmental heart loves that they upcycle materials. My mama heart loves that the kiddos have an art show on Friday! The teachers are kind, supportive and talented. I highly recommend it!”
“A great gathering spot for art appreciation and socializing at openings. So many wonderful pieces for all budgets including musician makers and outsider artists.”
“huge selection of exactly what i was looking for. amelia was beyond helpful, super attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. left with exactly what i wanted. thank you amelia !”
“All time dream to finally come here. More amazing than I dreamt. But wasn't open today due to a trip though they were kind enough to take my call. Not their fault, still 5 stars, hopefully next time or if they come to Springfield, Missouri and let me know we can meet :-)”
“They sold out of the item I wanted, but the customer service was amazing!! They offered to order more and took my email to update me :) I would absolutely recommend coming here as the staff was very friendly and so willing to help!”
“Fun art gallery at the base of a multi use building. The gallery also has a creative membership program to take advantage of the variety of events it offers.
The art when I visited was excellent, showing the well honed techniques of underappreciated talents. Exhibit openings here are warm and welcoming, a way to meet the proprietors and see people browsing the art with price lists in hand. They also made the best drink I've had at a gallery opening. There is free parking along the street for a few blocks.”
“Wonderfully kind staff (including the dog doorman) and such great service. Came to get a couple photos printed close to christmas, and they were so patient and lovely! My prints came out gorgeous. Happy to have found an austin art business to support. Thank you!”
“They serve Anderson's Cold Brew + Espresso, Zucchini Kill + Russell's Bakery Items, Coconut Bliss Ice Cream, and so much more! Poor exterior signage / marketing, so enter through Terra Toys main entrance.”
“Each time I've visited this gallery, long thought has gone into installing the works they display. The sense of space and interaction between the visitor and work is always effective in making you feel you're moving through the work.
This gallery is within a block of a couple other great galleries, as well as restaurants and bars, making for an enjoyable afternoon. There is also free parking in front of the gallery and on streets north of it.”
“Lots of fun stuff to look at, they always have good sales and coupons going on. the team is helpful and easy to find to ask questions but not overwhelmingly trying to follow you around like some other retailers, which I like!”
“If you're looking for a truly unique gallery experience in Austin, RichesArt is it. The artwork is spans so many different styles, cultures and genres. I've been twice now with friends and have enjoyed it every time!”
