“I’ve gotten pierced here three times total and while everyone has been so great I had to write this review because of Mercedes. I came in on New Years Day wanting third lobe piercings and I wasn’t sure if I had the anatomy for it. Mercedes was my piercer and she confirmed we could squeeze a third one in and I just loved that she really took her time explaining everything and making sure that I was happy with the placement. I ALWAYS have problems with my ear piercings (my second lobe piercings flared up a few times right after getting pierced) and my third ones have given me no problems at all. I also get nervous around needles and she really walks you through breaths when getting pierced. This kind of experience is what keeps me as a repeat customer, everyone is always so kind when I go in!”

“I bookmarked Caleesi jewelers a few years ago because of their excellent reviews. Only recently did I want to explore some options to make matching ID bracelets with gps coordinates where my wife and I met. I initially found a different business to buy the bracelets from and Caleesi Jewelers agreed to engrave them. It turned out the ID part of each bracelet was hollow and they couldn't engrave. I worked with Dylan and he offered to custom make the bracelet to my liking and engrave it for me, all within a few days of needing them. The prices were similar, so it was a no brainer to return my other bracelets and let Caleesi do their magic. Dylan was fantastic to work with and ensured I was happy with the final product. They turned out beautiful and since custom jewelry is not mass produced, is it perfect? No. But is it perfect to me & my wife? Yes! I was so grateful at their willingness to make a few tweaks, and love the bracelet's outcome and meaning. This jewelry spot will be my go-to and Dylan, if you're reading this, I truly am grateful!”

Staff is very helpful and there are usually several employees working so that the of amount of time waiting in queue is reasonable. “I went in with a heavy-ish 14k gold pendant I wanted melted into a ring. Brian himself talked to me about the project and asked if the gold pendant was sentimental. No, I said, I just have it. Brian showed me a few ring styles to get an idea of what I wanted (I needed a replacement wedding band). He did a lot of pushing buttons on a calculator and let me know that I could order a ring from them and use the gold I had as credit. It would be the best deal, he said, rather than getting my gold melted down. So it wouldn't be the same gold from the pendant in the ring, but they would accept the pendant as a partial "payment." Sounds great! Brian ordered the ring for me and it arrived very quickly. The store held onto my pendant while the ring was on order and when I came to pick up, all I had to pay was the balance, which was really quite reasonable. This place was quite busy both times I went in, so I was surprised that the owner himself came out to talk to me. I would guess that he loves the custom jewelry making part of the job, because when the first person helping me heard that I was interested in melting down a piece to make something new, she grabbed Brian immediately. All of the other salespeople were occupied with selling the jewelry from in cases. Anyway, the attention I received was really quite lovely and Brian was super friendly. I'll definitely go back if I need something custom made.”

“Years ago I went to Calvins with a Kate Spade watch that needed links removed and they were happy to oblige. So I don't know the review that says that Calvins won't repair jewelry that wasn't purchased there. Last week I went in with a gemstone ring (*not* purchased from Calvins) that I wanted made into a necklace and they were happy to do it for me. I paid for the repair and a gold chain. When I went to pick it up, it was not what I asked for, but when I explained what I had actually wanted and clarified my thoughts, they fixed it for me very quickly. The woman helping me, Kathleen, was very sweet and I appreciated that she wanted to make sure I was happy before I left the store the second time. My piece wasn't a big-ticket item like their engagement rings or vintage jewelry, but they treated me with respect anyway. My request might have been less expensive at a different store (and they turned down my request to melt down another piece of mine to make a ring, because they don't do that in-house) but their customer service is top notch.”

Our experience with Diamonds Direct (primarily Peaches but also Lou) was outstanding. We were greeted by name when we walked through the front door. We had shared by email following a call some fairly detailed information on the type of ring we were looking for (3-4 CTW round diamond eternity band with some setting preference details as well), and Peaches was well prepared to show us some excellent rings that matched what we were looking for. The Diamonds Direct selection in their showroom is outstanding. We had a wonderful experience with outstanding customer service -- thank you!”
