Tomlinson's Feed
5716 Burnet Rd, AustinHow many pet stores are ever featured on a local tourist information center's website? I wouldn't be surprised if no other pet store in the country is also considered a tourist destination. Tomlinson's is a local pet shop specializing in pet products with integrity. The original Tomlinson's was the first locally owned pet store in Austin. Th Burnet Rd store has many things you aren't likely to find at the pet supermarkets. They have private rooms full of supplies where you can wash and dry your dog. They have an engraving station where you can make tags for your pet. And, they have caring, attentive staff. Right now, they are matching every pet food purchase with a food donation to our local pet shelters. And if you go in the playroom you can help socialize local kitties looking for their forever homes. Going to Tomlinson's reminds you that you love animals in a city of people who love animals too.

5900 W Slaughter Ln #480, AustinI went in couple months ago and asked an employee about dog foods for senior dogs suffering from joint pain. The vet suggested a very pricey food for me so wanted to see if Tomlinson had a cheaper option. Employee was very informative to tell me it’s better to get a liquid supplement instead so I thought I’d try it out! My 12 year old dog’s life has been turned around! She doesn’t struggle to get out of her dog bed and has been running around like a young pup for months now!!! Thank you ??

LA Pawz Cat Grooming
615 Old Manchaca Road, AustinI got both of my cats bathed and groomed and it was such an easy experience! Very clean salon. The house is so fun and decorated. They have snacks and drinks. You can swim in their pool or workout in their gym while you wait for your cat. They also have a very sweet kitty you might see laying around the property. Huge land to walk around and chill on a hammock or swinging chairs. You can also bring your laptop and work in the zoom room which has a door that slides shut as needed. Great photo opportunities. You can also sit on the couch and watch Netflix or listen to music. Truly a whole experience for both you and your kitty. I was so thankful she helped my cat feel much better and cleaned areas I didn’t know needed cleaning. My cat had dandruff from grooming herself too much and now her fur looks more healthy and shiny. No issues with either cat. She knows what she’s doing and she’s very certified! Wouldn’t recommend anyone else. It was well worth the hour drive! Will be going back for regular groomings.

Park and Bark
501 E Stassney Ln Unit 1011, AustinWe’ve been using Park and Bark for about 3 years now. My dog is 9, picky about people and used to be really anxious about the groomer, but when she sees Ramon (or his van), she runs right to him! I love how caring they are with my dog, how wonderful she smells afterwards and how quickly she is able to be groomed right outside my house. They’re always on time and it’s such an easy and low stress experience for both me and my dog. If you’re thinking about booking them for your dog, you won’t be disappointed!

Austin Pet Stylist
500 W William Cannon Dr #414, AustinWe love Austin Pet Stylist, and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a safe, kind and top quality groomer. Their prices are reasonable, their communication is great and the salon is a welcoming, inclusive place. We have brought two Pomeranians here (one with coat issues, and one who is a bit of a handful) and have received the best care.
Pomeranians are a notoriously hard breed to groom, due to their double coat, and if not groomed and cared for correctly, they can actually lose their fur. I spent a lot of time researching groomers in Austin, and felt very lucky to get in with Jade. We actually live about a hour away, and make a morning out of grooming every month.
Not only does Jade give the best cuts, but she is passionate about animals and even teaches a pet CPR class. Jade, Brittany and the rest of the staff have helped me learn a lot about Pomeranian care, products and well being over the past two years, and we are so fortunate to have them as our groomers!

Dogtopia of Crestview

Dr Dillon is our vet he is always so kind and helpful not to mention he is the sweetest to my little old 17 yo grumpy stinky dog ;) it makes me feel so good to have a vet who cares. The other thing that is so nice about their clinic is the cleanliness, friendliness of the staff, and last but definitely not least going to the vet doesn't break the bank as many vets offices in the past have. I highly recommend their services. They were recommended to us by a friend, and I would 100% recommend them to anyone who is need of a great vet♥️

Southwest Vet
8731 State Hwy 71 100 #100, AustinI can't thank Southwest Vet enough for their incredible help on Monday morning. My dog was experiencing a terrifying bowel obstruction emergency, and they were willing to change their schedules and find a spot for him. From the moment I called, their staff was compassionate and efficient. They got us in immediately, and the veterinary team was absolutely fantastic.
They explained the treatment options clearly, and provided top-notch care to my furry kid. Throughout the whole ordeal, they were reassuring and supportive, which made a stressful situation so much more bearable. Their prices were almost a 1/4th of another Vet in the area, which not only made it affordable but prevented a potentially huge financial burden!
I'm so grateful for their expertise and dedication. Southwest Vet truly went above and beyond, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to any pet owner in Austin. They are lifesavers!

Prickly Pear Pet Vaccines
9900 S Interstate 35 Bldg 42 Ste P480, AustinI want to start by saying I am incredibly grateful for Dr. Katie Hilla. She is a wonderful doctor and owner, and I truly value the care she provides. However, my experience with the front desk today was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. I arrived early and was waiting right in front of the door before the clinic even opened. The front desk staff member was fully aware of who was there first—she even made direct eye contact with us in our vehicles when she came out to take the trash. Despite this, when the doors opened, she allowed a couple with three dogs to jump ahead of everyone who had been waiting. When I pointed out that there was a clear order of arrival, her only response was, "Well, it’s walk-in, first come, first served." Using that as a justification felt like a slap in the face. On my previous visit, the staff correctly took people in the order they arrived, so to see that protocol ignored today—especially when she saw us sitting there first—was unprofessional and rude. I even had a conversation with another gentleman waiting who confirmed I was there first. I ended up putting my pet back in the car because of how this was handled. It is a shame that such a great doctor is represented by a front desk process that feels this disorganized and disrespectful to patients' time. I hope Dr. Hilla addresses the training here, as the current front desk conduct doesn't match the quality of the medical care.

Dog Training Elite Austin
7000 N Mopac Expy Suite 200, AustinI’ve used 3 training services in Austin and this is by far the best! Instead of telling you how the others missed the mark, I’ll focus on what makes DTE the best. First off, they took the time to listen to me on my goals and timeline. Then they came to my house the next day for an assessment to see if and when the goals could be met. They catered a plan and walked me through what to expect. They paired me with a trainer who not only met my expectations, but exceeded them. But the most important part, they care out my dog and circumstantial needs. They check in and follow up. The progress has been almost immediate. We’re 3 sessions in and I feel like a have a dog who is finally achieving what I always dreamed! Know this requires the handler (you) to take the time to learn the commands and practice discipline. But my dog loves the training and gets excited each time me start. Mike has been incredible to work with and the bond he’s helping me build is simply amazing. You will not be disappointed! I’ve already personally sent 3 of my pups dog friends to DTE because they were so impressed with the accomplishments. Look no further, go with DTE!

Fond Memories Pet Cemetery & Crematorium
8204 N Lamar Blvd c24, AustinThese folks are top shelf. My best friend's dog died and he was her absolute world. I searched high and low for a place that I felt would do the best job. I read reviews on here, google, and the websites. I read about how everyone handled intake, the cremation process, and all the details. By far this place was the best. They met us at the door and were so accommodating. They were willing to take her fur baby out and bring him into the room themselves or they would let either of us do it. They were just above and beyond in accommodating whatever was best for my friend. They offer every kind of support and service you can imagine. They also offer urns, paintings made with your pet's DNA, jewelry made from the ashes, nose prints, paw prints, a locket of hair, the sky is the limit on what will make you happiest. They have a beautiful and private intake space with a sweet little/or big (whatever your baby needs) basket with a soft blanket for you to lay them on while you discuss your needs. The professionalism and service we received was outstanding. The folks that worked my friend's intake were so compassionate. I have already decided when the unfortunate day arrives for our family and our fur babies, we will be using them. Thank you guys for doing an amazing service for folks that love their pets as family.

Love a bull inc
2900 W. Anderson Lane, C-200 #304, AustinLove-A-Bull is a wonderful rescue and advocacy group!! It's an incredibly welcoming group, full of the best people! I fell in love with Love-A-Bulls mission and the work they are doing to improve the lives and images of pitbull type dogs. If you are looking to adopt, Love-A-Bull has so many amazing dogs, and always prioritizes match-making, finding a dog that works for your whole family! Volunteering with Love-A-Bull has truly been life changing for me and I would recommend this organization to anyone interested in volunteering, fostering, or adopting!
