We have a 10-month-old Golden Retriever who was dealing with severe stomach issues back in January. After multiple vet visits, prescriptions, and tests, we still didn’t have real answers or lasting relief. We were exhausted and worried.
On a whim, we stopped into Shaggy Dog in Buda and spoke with the owner about everything we’d been going through. He took the time to really listen and gave thoughtful, personalized recommendations for a new food regimen. We decided to give it a try and I am so glad we did!
It’s like we have a brand-new dog! He’s more energetic, happier, has perfect bowel movements, and hasn’t had a single tummy issue since switching his diet. The difference has been incredible.
This is the kind of care and knowledge you only get from a specialty store where the owner truly stands behind his products. We would much rather invest in our pup’s health now than continue racking up vet bills for emergency visits.
I highly recommend Shaggy Dog to anyone in the area. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and genuinely cares about the well-being of your pets. Thank you for giving us our happy, healthy boy back!

3200 FM 967, BudaWe had such a great experience with Dr. East and Sabrina when we brought in our new puppy. They were both so kind, patient, and easy to talk to, which really helped calm our nerves as new puppy owners.
Dr. East took the time to explain everything and answered all of our questions in a way that actually made sense. We never felt rushed. Sabrina was just as wonderful and treated our puppy with so much care and attention.
You can tell they genuinely love what they do and truly care about the animals they see. We feel really lucky to have found them and cannot say enough good things. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a vet they can trust.

Remington Pet Ranch
14025 S Turnersville Rd, BudaWe had a great experience at Remington Pet Ranch with boarding our boy S’mores, who is very hyper 1 year old Bernese Mountain Dog, for a little under a week. They were all so professional, caring, and extremely nice! He seemed to love it there and looked like he was on vacation too haha, which was a relief. Their daily report card they send out with pictures was something we were always looking forward to seeing pop up in the inbox :) Remington is officially our new go to place for leaving our boy while we’re away, as we know he will be in good hands and will enjoy his time there as well! Just an all around good experience, and I’d recommend to anyone looking for a home away from home for their pet.

Ruff Ranch Pet Boarding
1755 Farm to Market 1626, BudaHad such a great experience with Ruff Ranch! Love that they do an observation day with new pets to make sure they’re matching dog’s personalities with the right play groups. This was the first time boarding my dog and she seemed to love it. The freedom to run around outside most of the day as well as splash around a kiddie pool when it was hot was wonderful. They also do an exit bath for an extra fee which is a great add on in my opinion. Their pricing for everything I felt was good too. Very happy with our experience and appreciate the friendly and informative staff!

Abuelita's Bakery Spot
606 Main St, BudaWe ordered conchas from Abuelita’s Bakery Spot for our wedding, and they were an absolute hit! So many of our guests came up to us throughout the night to tell us how delicious they were. They ended up being one of the most talked-about desserts of the evening.
The team at Abuelita’s Bakery Spot was wonderful to work with from the beginning. Our point of contact even set up a tasting for us months in advance, which gave us the chance to try everything and talk about how we wanted the conchas to look for our wedding. One of the things that really stood out was how they were able to customize the sugar topping colors to match our wedding perfectly. Our colors were lavender and sage green, and they did an amazing job matching them. The conchas looked beautiful and tied in perfectly with our wedding aesthetic.
We ordered 300 conchas, and they were so good that there were barely any left by the end of the night. Guests kept going back for more, and we were even sharing them with our vendors because we wanted everyone to try them!
Pickup was very easy as well. Everything was boxed and organized, making it simple for us to transport them to the venue.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience with Abuelita’s Bakery Spot. The conchas were delicious, beautifully made, and such a fun and unique dessert option for our wedding. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for amazing baked goods for an event!

122 Main St, BudaI just need to shout out Matt and the Louie’s crew. We have had Louie’s cater several events at Persimmon, and they never miss. Matt has fantastic customer service and honestly just takes the guesswork out of catering an event. They have just really gone above and beyond for us, they provide everything, AND drop the food off. Beyond that, they have - in my opinion - possibly the best TX BBQ I’ve had. Also, the sides. THE SIDES. I have dreams about their mac-n-cheese and their potato salad. Anyways, I would just like to highly, highly recommend stopping by for a meal, but to also consider them for your future events.

Nate’s delivers.
The espresso is excellent, the coffee is consistently on point, and the baristas clearly care about what they’re doing. This isn’t one of those places where you order a latte and get a cup of warm milk with a vague coffee memory. Every drink I’ve had has been balanced, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for.
The other thing I appreciate is the vibe. Nate’s manages to be cool without being performatively cool. Nobody’s judging your laptop stickers, your drink order, or whether you’re reading a novel, answering emails, or just staring into space questioning your life choices.
It’s the kind of neighborhood coffee shop every neighborhood wishes it had: great coffee, friendly people, and a space that makes you want to stick around for “just one more cup” and somehow lose track of an hour.
10/10. My caffeine habit and I will absolutely be back. ☕😎
