“Postal Zone is my Go-To store/post service for everything I mail, copy, buy suppirs for mailing and find THE prrfect cards for my family’s and friends’ birthdays, events and hoidays. The owner and the staff is always helpful.- even taping up my mailers, letting me borrow their stapler and giving advice on the best way to mail my packages. They keep names on a computer which makes it so easy to print out labels to put on packages . I am very happy with the service and feel so confident that my mail is very safe shipped from Postal Zone. Nancy Johnston”

“This location is the best post office in the Upper Kirby neighborhood! (Probably the best in Houston). Each person who works behind the desk is always so patient, helpful, and kind. I often come to this location to ship packages and the customer service is top notch. This location also has a new self-service shipping option as well for those who ship packages with a QR code like me. This makes it easier if there is a line of people waiting or the desk is closed. Even when there is a line at this location, it moves quickly and efficiently. Love this location and appreciate the employees who make the shipping process easier!”

“It's close to me but staff has changed and wish they would consider we pay their salary and should be grateful and be more pleasant.
They seem tired. No happy short conversations.
A greeting would help their character. This world is forgetting . there's so much to be thankful for.

“Barbara is the GOAT.
Let’s be honest, most people don’t expect a trip to the post office to be the highlight of their day. Somehow, the River Oaks Post Office manages to change that.
Barbara is one of the kindest, most patient, and genuinely caring USPS employees I’ve ever encountered. No matter how busy the line is or how many questions people have, she treats everyone with grace, professionalism, and a smile. You never feel rushed, and you always leave feeling like you were helped by someone who truly cares.
The entire team at this location deserves recognition. Every visit has been a positive experience, and it’s refreshing to walk into a post office where customer service is clearly a priority.
One unexpected bonus is the people. I don’t know what it is about this location, but I’ve had some genuinely pleasant conversations while waiting in line. It somehow feels like a little slice of community in the middle of a busy city.
If you have a choice of which post office to visit, I wholeheartedly recommend the River Oaks location.
And Barbara, if you happen to read this, thank you for making ordinary errands feel just a little brighter. You’re an incredible ambassador for the USPS, and whatever they’re paying you… I guarantee it ain’t enough !! You are the queen 👑✨”
“It is a decent place, but the employees and the managers do not take the public's time into consideration. There is usually a long line to get services from an employee, their automated kiosk is frequently out of service, and their wait times to pick up a undeliverable package is usually long because the bell that can announce to them that you are waiting, I'm still has not been fixed”
“There was a delay in a package and everyone I spoke to from my mail carrier to the supervisor were amazing at helping, and staying in contact with me until it was resolved. Mistakes happen, but the assistance they provided more than made up for it. A complete ownership of the issue and even a apology from the mail carrier for the mishap, despite it not being needed but definitely appreciated.”
“This location has been around for years. I just happen to be in the area with mail needing to be dropped off.
I was surprised to only see one outdoor mailbox. I do appreciate the quick one way parking lot. You simply drive thru and drop off the mail.”

“My experience is a little unique, but it needs to be shared. I work not too far from this location. Today I accidentally locked myself out of my work building. No phone, no car keys, no food. And to make matters worst, it was raining outside. The good news is that I was wearing a rain coat, and I did have my wallet, with 2 emergency contact numbers inside. I had a choice to go to the fire station, the library, or the Post Office on Chimney Rock. I chose the Post Office. Once I explained my situation to one of the managers there, Mr. Davis I believe, he let me use his personal cell phone for as long as needed. Then one of the guys at the counter, Mr. Sydney I believe, offered to drop me off at another Park location during his lunch break. He did follow through, and even offered to buy my lunch. I learned from a brief conversation, that their location is very understaffed. Despite all of that, they both showed outstanding fellow feeling and compassion. I really appreciate their kindness.”

The Postmaster took the time to listen to our circumstances, carefully verified all the necessary information, and handled everything professionally while following the proper procedures.
Her compassion, patience, and willingness to help made a stressful situation much easier for our family. It’s rare to find someone who is both knowledgeable and genuinely caring. We truly appreciate her exceptional customer service and dedication.

“I had an awesome experience in this location today which was a surprise. It was my first time visiting this USPS office. Yesterday I went to another one trying to ship 2 pairs of shoes in one box to my friends in California which the rate is whooping $97.05! I decided to put the shoes in 2 boxes instead of one bigger box to save on shipping. And after checking the rate at this location, the cost total was still $40+. I asked the lady who worked there name Burley if there is a priority box that might fit the shoes and the shipping cost would be lower. She directed me to get a medium size box. Originally I didnt think it would be big enough to fit both shoes. But she skillfully and efficiently fit both shoes in the box! That saved me $10+ even after paying for the box. I appreciate her help and wish other staff working in USPS offices are as helpful.”

“This USPS branch is so busy. It needs to be upgraded. Few staff behind the counter. You can't go there and expected to leave early mostly when you sneak out from office during lunch.

“I was very nervous as it was my first time shipping online packages and the reviews here were a bit intimidating! However I was pleasantly met with the workers there to be extremely nice and patient with everyone. The nice lady who worked the front took her time to talk to everyone and made the entire process very easy and comforting. She's so cool I love her already!!
