I cannot say enough wonderful things about Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming in New Braunfels! We’ve been bringing our dog here for over 4 years, and I recommend this place to everyone I know who has a dog. From the moment you walk in, you can tell your furry friend is in the best possible hands.
The staff at Woof Gang is incredible! They always greet us with a warm smile, and you can feel the genuine love and care they have for every dog. My dog, Pebbles, absolutely loves going there, and she’s always so excited when we arrive. It’s such a relief knowing she’s not just another client—they treat her like family.
What really sets them apart is the attention to detail and the extra care they give. Pebbles always comes out looking adorable, and it’s clear that they take their time to ensure she’s comfortable and happy throughout the grooming process. Whether it’s just a bath or a full grooming session, they always exceed my expectations.

Tabbie's Mobile Cat Grooming
New BraunfelsTabatha and Ian were fantastic! They came over early due to an appointment cancellation. They were 5min early which is my favorite professional quality. They were very polite, came in, introduced themselves and got straight to work! They did a lion cut on my short haired, calico kitty Mocha, you read that correctly CALICO. If you know anything about calico and torti cats, they are quite feisty! Even though she protested with claws drawn and the hiss machine going, they took their time and made sure that she was calm and not over stimulated. Mocha has back problems due to a nasty run in with a coyote in her younger years and they definitely made sure to be gentle and take special care of her particular needs when grooming. They stayed about 45 minutes, were very professional and extremely good with cats. I sat in an watched a little bit to talk with them and honestly Mocha did so good with both of them. When I trim her toe nails she bites me so hard but she let them do their thing and it was a great experience to not have to take her in the car to the groomer and leave her for 6 hours. I'll definitely be calling them back and give them the highest recommendation.
Update: I know it's been six years but I just want to say that I love these people! I've adopted them as part of my family. My cat is now super old and they still come month after month and take care of her as if she were their own. They really hold a special place in my heart and I'm grateful for everything they do for my sweet Mocha.

She always takes time to answer my questions, even when I feel like I’m overthinking or asking the most basic things, and she never makes me feel rushed or brushed off. I walk out feeling reassured every single time.
And let’s be real, she deserves a raise. Truly. She’s one of those people you ask for first if she doesn’t answer the phone because you trust her that much. That kind of consistency, kindness, and dedication is rare.
Charlie is comfortable with her. I’m confident because of her. We’re incredibly lucky to have Karissa looking out for my boy.

Comal Pet Hospital & Resort
1320 I 35 N Frontage Rd, New BraunfelsI was in Texas for a week with my parents when my senior chihuahua suddenly stopped using his back legs. My parents bring their pups to Comal Pet Hospital so this was of course who we called - they were able to get my pup in within 2 hours. Being out of town, the office made it so easy for me during an extremely scary day - they reached out to my home vet (in Oregon), had all of records sent over and reviewed them before we got to the office to see Dr. Cruz. The entire staff were so caring and helpful from the second I called for an emergency appointment through the follow ups the days after. Dr. Cruz was very informative and took the time to make sure I understood the diagnosis and care plan. I was sent home with a recovering pup, all of the prescriptions we would need, and a detailed document of our visit for me to bring back to our vet back home.
I had some concerns with my pup's reactions to the medicine, called and left a voicemail on a Friday not expecting follow up given the weekend on the horizon. Dr. Barrera took the time to call me back late Friday and again go through all of my dog's history, diagnosis and current treatment plan. She gave me an updated dosage for some of his medicines and then sent a detailed email with all of the details of our discussion, which I sincerely appreciated!
I would highly recommend Comal Pet Hospital - and I cannot thank them enough for their care of my little guy!!!

1445 S Walnut Ave, New BraunfelsI'd like to start this review out by saying Dr. Fowler is a godsend! I am a first-time puppy owner and went through a reputable website to do my research on a breeder. I specifically wanted a Shih Tzu puppy and the breeder I selected had a litter available, but they weren't quite ready for pick up. The day came for me to finally pick up my new puppy and leading up to picking her up, the breeder had informed me that she was 100% healthy and had been cleared by 1 of the 4 vets she use. After picking my new girl up, I noticed her eye looked swollen and was red. She could barely open it and when I reached out to the breeder, she told me it could be irritated from the bath she had given her right before pick up. Due to picking her up on a Saturday, a lot of vets are closed on the weekend unless you take them into an emergency Hospital. Monday morning, I was able to get my girl in. Dr. Fowler came in and did her recommended testing to properly diagnose my sweet puppy. It turns out I received her with a pre-existing ulcer on her eye at eight weeks old. Doctor Fowler listened to my concerns and addressed everything I brought to her attention. Because I mentioned something about mucousy stool, she suggested I get a fecal test done. I am so glad she did because I was able to find out my new eight week old puppy came with parasites as well. I am so thankful she recommended all of the testing that was performed on my sweet girl so we can address everything and get her to 100% healthiness. Dr. Fowler's bedside manner is out of this world! She took the time to explain to me, a new pet owner, everything she was doing to where I could easily understand what she was saying. She actually made me feel more relieved than I was walking in even after finding out the diagnosis of what was going on. I also love the fact that she sends a full and detailed report of the visit. She also included in the report about how she advised me to reach out to the breeder for reimbursement for this vet bill. Thankfully everything is treatable and we are now on the road to recovery. I am so happy. I brought my new puppy in to this clinic. I will most definitely continue to bring my girl in to receive the best care! Thank you again Dr. Fowler! You are the BEST!!

From the receptionist all the way through to the vet, they are kind, caring, and attentive to my “nervous Nellie” boys. Dr. Farris takes time to explain and answer all my questions without making me feel rushed. My oldest has an autoimmune disorder and she is highly attuned to that and considers this with all of his care decisions. Oh, and they do a great job keeping the place clean and smelling good!!!

2136 Dorman Dr, New Braunfelswe can't rave enough about david and his training - not just for our dogs but mostly, for us as dog parents! he is patient and kind and always a pleasure to be around. he never makes us feel bad if we aren't doing our homework between sessions and is consistently positive and encouraging. he's worth every single penny. we feel like our new puppy is on the right track to being a well-behaved, confident dog; and our 6 yo clearly remembered his training from before he joined our family - we just hadn't kept up with it. we're so impressed with our dogs and their progress and that is all thanks to david and his expertise. if you've seen his vanity plate, he truly is the new braunfels dog whisperer! the group classes with other dogs and their owners are also VERY beneficial! our older dog has a lot of anxiety but showed us the first time we joined group that he's a good boy who just needs a little guidance and reassurance. your dog is NOT untrainable even if you think he/she might be. let david show you the way!

Walking to the front door we were not sure if it was open, but when we entered the atmosphere is very different and very unexpected. It took us back to a different period in history. Soft music, rustic brick walls hard wood floors and awesome staff. Everyone was kind and made our dinner a very enjoyable experience. And if you’re wondering- the food is incredible!! We bypassed several other restaurants to get to this one and were NOT disappointed!

I think he sits people, busts tables and sometimes starts you off with your drink if the server is busy at the moment. He absolutely does not care if he butchers your name or whatever. He'll tell you to deal with it and go sit at your table in the nicest grumpy old man way. It was pretty funny to watch
The Chef's here is amazing absolutely no burn on the eggs, crispy hashbrowns, the biscuits are amazing.
