He is a senior dog and I adopted him nearly 5 years ago- I had no clue what severe separation anxiety was in dogs until him, and was basically flying by the seat of my pants wondering if I would ever be able to leave my home again with him unattended in the early oughts. Luckily, I have known the managers of Dog Tales for 20+ years, so I knew where to go immediately for help and support. Ashleigh, and then Sherry after Ashleigh moved. The care they have put into the animals who go there, whether for boarding long term or day care, is unparalleled. And it has had such a fantastic trickle down effect with the staff as well. I have called with last minute boarding requests, they have called about his vaccines, sending me photos when he is there- I mean, you name it. Dog Tales always accommodates to what your dog needs. The staff is absolutely INCREDIBLE. Communication is key when it comes to comfortability regarding the health of your baby who won’t be under your supervision. Batman has had a myriad of health issues, most recently having an eye removed due to glaucoma (sounds scary, I promise he’s thriving). The care the staff put in each and every time we arrive, knowing the attention he needs, his unique factors, again, it’s difficult to find words to describe what it means. And I witness the same attention given to each person who arrives while I’m there as well. I am an unapologetic helicopter dog mommy when it comes to him, but when I travel for work, I sleep very easily at night when he is not with me, knowing he is with them, receiving top notch care and individualized attention. I truly have no idea what I would do without Dog Tales. I have, and will continue, to recommend this establishment time and time again.

They went above and beyond to make sure that their procedures went as smoothly as possible. The front desk even texted me an update on how my boys were doing which I thought was so nice, since I was worried about them. And Elise the vet tech was so informative and helpful. Highly recommend this place

He has a scar but hasn't limped one time since his surgery.

I am no stranger to dog training and thought with my second rescue (who I adopted at 8 weeks old) I could manage on my own. My previous rescue was a shepherd pitbull mix who was a stray and “traveled with a pack of dogs in the District” and had developed ALOT of bad habits. Needless-to-say we went through quite a bit of training with her so I knew what to do and what not to do with my new rescue.
Enter Dante, a pitbull hound mix, who was left on the side of road at a week old with parvovirus. By the time he was 4 months old, I was having to use oven mitts when he refused to get off the couch. He lost couch privileges but didn’t care. He defied us at every turn. He was a nightmare to walk. He got kicked out of doggy daycare. He jumped up on my daughter and hurt her while she was swinging on the swing set. We clearly needed help!
After a few sessions with Dara I knew she was the real deal. The trainer we had before her for Dante’s “puppy head start” started out with “I have yet to meet a pitbull that isn’t reactive” making me feel like Dante was a lost cause. Dara strikes the right balance of being tough but loving. My dog clearly respects her but is not fearful and is very excited each time she comes for his session. The progress is incredible and speaks for itself! In addition to regular obedience training and learning his manners, Dara worked on every single “problem area” one at time...bikes, swings, trucks, other dogs, and the list goes on. We recently found the right collar for him and now we are at the point where he doesn’t even pull! Walks are no longer stressful and while his natural personality is definitely intense we now have to tools to manage it and life has gotten a lot more enjoyable (and safer for my kids!).

Friendly waiting staff and not a long wait for food to arrive and no wait for table. Hidden gem. Clean and inviting atmosphere but it's not the fine dining romantic sort of atmosphere. If it's all about the food then go here if you're in the mood for great Sushi and Ramen in the south Ashburn/ South Riding/ Aldie area.

The staff was all amazing!! Came to check in on us throughout the entire experience. The food was amazinggg. Everything we ordered. Juicy, tender, luscious just talking about it makes me want to go back. 10/10 Absolutely. Everyone must check this place out!

I’ve been here twice now and both times the hot drinks and food were really good. The menu I think, is a bit smaller compared to other cafés, but everything I’ve tried met my expectations. Only small downside is they only have two bottled water options (sparkling or still). Overall, a chill spot I’d definitely come back to.
