6730 Curran St 1st Floor, McLeanI had a wonderful experience here. From the very first text, they were incredibly responsive and let me know they had availability the same day. They were also more reasonably priced than several other groomers I contacted.
As soon as I walked in, the groomer greeted the dog by name and immediately started playing with him. That simple interaction told me everything I needed to know. You could genuinely see how much she loves what she does, and it made me feel completely comfortable leaving him in her care.
A few hours later, I picked up a happy, clean, and great looking pup. They gave him a bath, blow-dried him, trimmed his nails, and cleaned his ears. The service was thorough, and the value was excellent at $105 plus tax and tip.
The front desk staff was also warm and welcoming, which made the entire experience even better. I would absolutely recommend this place and will happily return.

The team from reception to the nurse and Dr Gordon were friendly, professional and thorough. The communication via text / app is stelllar and the office automatically submitted a claim to our pet insurance. Dr Gordon had familiarized himself completely with our dog’s medical records and performed a thorough exam explaining his care plan in detail. Ample parking. Conveniently located. Highly recommend.

6719 Lowell Ave, McLeanWe absolutely love Old Dominion Animal Hospital! We have been bringing our two poodles here for the past three years, and we have consistently had wonderful experiences. The entire team has always been caring, helpful, and professional, and we truly trust them with our dogs.
We recently added a new puppy to our family and had to work through some scheduling and logistics. Cherish was incredibly kind, understanding, and accommodating throughout the entire process. She made everything so much easier and really showed how much the team cares about both pets and their owners.
When our puppy was spayed, Dr. Felton was amazing. He was thorough, generous with his time, answered our questions, and made us feel comfortable throughout the process. We have worked with Dr. Felton in the past as well and have always appreciated his knowledge, patience, and care.
We are so grateful for Old Dominion Animal Hospital and the way they care for our dogs. It means so much to have a veterinary team we truly trust!

My past expereinces with diners outside of New Jersey has often been disappointing to say the least. However, Silver Diner exceeded my expectations. The caramel french toast I order was absolutely delicious along with the eggs and sausage. The strawberries on the side was a nice added touch. The service was excellent too. I highly recommend this place.

Chiang Mai Thai Cookhouse
6828 Old Dominion Dr Ste C Floor 1, McLeanWe learned about Chiang Mai from strangers we were chatting with at another (non Thai) restaurant in Bethesda and they raved about it. So of course we had to try!
We went on a Monday evening and there was no wait and the staff greeting was lovely. I was pretty indecisive about sitting outside or inside and the staff were so accommodating and patient!
At last we settled in inside in a cozy booth and ordered up cocktails and appetizers - shrimp dumplings, larb kai, spring roll. All absolutely delicious! The dumpling was my favorite of the three. For mains we ordered 2 chiang mai specialties - gaeng hoa pork and chicken curry. Perfect balance of protein, veg, spice/flavor. We chose medium spicy and could have gone higher as we enjoy spice. We also ordered the shrimp pad Thai (as a bit of a standard comparison to other restaurants). Truly the best Thai meal we’ve had in the area since the Covid era. We are thrilled to have a new favorite and will absolutely return and SOON! For shout outs - Nat our server was wonderful, helpful, friendly, professional. And the bartender friendly and mixed excellent balanced cocktails!

1656 Boro Place, McLeanMy wife and I stopped at Flower Child in McLean for a late Sunday lunch, and I can see why she wanted me to try it. I’m currently following a vegetarian eating plan, and this is the kind of restaurant that proves healthy food doesn’t have to be boring.
From the moment we walked in, the restaurant had a clean, comfortable, relaxed vibe. You can dine inside, outside, or take your meal to go. The staff were friendly, efficient, and patient, especially helpful when you’re a first-time guest trying to decide among so many good options.
One of the things I really liked about Flower Child is the flexibility of the menu. There are plenty of choices for vegetarians and vegans, but meat and seafood lovers have lots of options too. Many dishes can be customized around your preferred protein. Even better, the prices felt reasonable for fresh, healthier food. It didn’t feel like you were paying a premium simply because something was vegetarian or vegan—and I really appreciate that.
My wife ordered the Salmon Plate with Roasted Cauliflower Risotto, while I went with the Spicy Coconut Curry with marinated tofu. We also shared the Classic Hummus with pita and had freshly brewed iced tea mixed with the no-sugar lemonade. Our total was under $50 including tip, which I thought was a very good value.
The vegetables on both dishes were cooked beautifully and the seasoning was excellent. My Spicy Coconut Curry was the standout. The marinated tofu had a wonderful char, texture, and flavor—so well prepared that it could easily satisfy someone who normally prefers meat or fish. The salmon had good flavor but was a little dry, possibly slightly overcooked, which is really the only thing keeping this particular visit from being a full 5 stars.
I also really enjoyed the freshly brewed iced tea mixed with the sugar-free lemonade. One suggestion for management: consider offering agave or another plant-based sweetener in addition to Splenda. It would fit nicely with the fresh, health-conscious approach of the restaurant.
Overall, Flower Child is a great choice if you want fresh, flavorful food without feeling like you’re eating “health food.” Vegetarian, vegan, or carnivore—there’s something here for just about everyone. We’ll definitely be back.
