Pet Care

Blue Ridge Veterinary Hospital
436 Floyd Hwy N, FloydI travel from Patrick County to this veterinary clinic, and it's well worth the trip. The staff here is truly outstanding—friendly, understanding, and compassionate. They are always efficient with their time and go above and beyond to provide the best care. I highly recommend this wonderful establishment.

Pet Sitting & Training

Little River Farm, LLC
3368 Bethlehem Church Rd NE, FloydThis is hands-down the best place we've boarded our dog! She loves playing with the others and running in the huge fenced-in area! And *we* love that we get updates on how she's doing when we're away and how seriously they take the dogs' safety. I never used to feel comfortable leaving our dog when we went out of town, but now that she goes to Little River Farm, I know she's in good hands and trust leaving her in their care! A beautiful property with caregivers we trust 100%!

Buffalo Mountain Brewery And McDaniel's Tavern
332 Webbs Mill Rd N, FloydWe went Tuesday to play bingo and refill the growler. Had a great time and really enjoyed the selection of brew. We picked up the growler (which they kept in the cooler for us after filling it) on the way out.
Then I heard someone calling my name across the parking lot. It was Jess, the bartender/growler filler/cashier. She was literally chasing me across the parking lot because I left my debit card. Thanks girl!
Summey: Beer is excellent, bingo is fun, staff are rock stars. ?

Pantoufle's Bistro
109 E Main St Suite B, FloydJohn was great! Super accommodating and made my wife and I feel like we were just two people in his personal dining room.
For dinner I had the braised short ribs and it was tender and flavorful. My wife had the Chicken spinach artichoke with rice. She was hesitant to get it, but in the end she really enjoyed the meal and was glad she got it. Would highly recommend this bistro. Also don't be afraid to try the chocolate tea!

OuterSpace
364 S Locust St, FloydWe parked near here and toured Floyd before deciding to return for lunch. So glad we did. We would usually do a split for lunch, and the portions are plenty to do a split, but the menu was just too interesting. So she had Grown-up Grilled Cheese, and I had the Breakfast Burrito with sweet potato mash and spinach. They were both wonderful, and too big for one person to finish. Very reasonable price for what we had. Menu variety made hard choices. Atmosphere is crazy, like a picnic in outer space. So glad our campground recommended we take the time to visit Floyd!

Villa Appalaccia Winery
752 Rock Castle Gorge Rd, FloydWe were told about this place by some friends in our neighborhood. So we decided a few Sundays ago to drive up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I will tell you though because it is located off of the Blue Ridge Parkway you will not find any signs along the park where that is prohibited. Just trust Google and your GPS and it will take you down this gravel road and you'll start seeing little signs and then all the sudden you see the big beautiful sign for this Winery. This is truly a little hidden gem hidden off of the Blue ridge Parkway. It's a very beautiful spot and it is quite reminiscent of some of the wineries and villas that we visited on. Our previous trips to Italy. Host inside were extremely friendly and very warm and welcoming. We also loved the food while we were there. We both got paninis and they were just fantastic along with the glass over there. Delicious wine. This place even has a Bocce ball pit. And we were told that there is the ruins of a previous building there that they have turned into and entertainment location to complete with a small stage at one end and during nice weather tickly I guess during the summer and early fall they have musical.
Probably I guess on the weekends. So that would be a fun little trip to go back up for us and stay somewhere close off of the parkway and go enjoy one of the fresh wood fire oven pizzas that they also make on property and listen to some good local music. If you're ever near this place on the Parkway, it's well worth a stop.
