βI went in for the first time since they have a lot of good reviews. Came on 4/20 for the gummy bear gummies and theyre really actually strong. I def recommend getting those gummies from here!! Thank you for the quality!β
βI rarely write reviews, but I had such a positive experience at Anderson Sunoco Gas Station & Auto Repair in Arlington, VA that I had to share. I want to give a huge shout-out to Victor, who went above and beyond to help me with my car. He was not only knowledgeable and efficient but also incredibly honest β which, as many of us know, is not always easy to find in auto repair.
Victor took the time to explain everything clearly, gave me honest advice about what really needed to be done (and what didnβt), and made sure I left feeling confident and taken care of. There was no pressure, no upselling, just genuine help and great service.
If you're looking for a place thatβs trustworthy, professional, and treats you like a valued customer, I highly recommend Anderson Sunoco. Victor is the real deal β thank you again!β

βWas in town for 4 days (visiting from Portland Oregon, was staying with a friend 3 blocks away). I had breakfast sandwiches here 3 of the 4 days, and a standard sandwich for the last dinner while in DC. AMAZING food, is all I can say! Plus, such a great little market absolutely packed with grocery goods, many/most of which were locally sourced from small businesses! Really can't wait to come back and have another meal! Also should note that the second time I came back, the woman taking my order (I think maybe the owner?) remembered my name from 2 days before, and welcomed me back warmly! The third time, she didn't even ask for my name, she just automatically typed it in!
Kid-friendliness: Kids would have a blast here, also, I saw kids there every time I walked in.
Wheelchair accessibility: There's an actual grated ramp leading up the one step to the door from the sidewalkβ

βI stopped in on thursday on my way home from pennsylvania, going to north carolina. Next thing, my tire pressure was down. I was in a panic and pulled in to this station. Turns out, I ran over a big piece of metal. The two gentlemen, we're so nice and efficient.I don't even know what to say!!!!! I had my three teenage girls with me, and we had three hours left to go home. They showed me what was wrong with the tire. He talked to my husband on the phone, and they had me in and out and fifteen minutes and back on the road. Although it was 57 dollars for a patch it was still worth it to me. And it got me home and still holding, losing no tire pressure. These guys could not have been any more nicer. And I had to force them to take a four dollar tip, because it's all the cash I had on me.β
βVery friendly service and delicious sandwiches. I love all the cool things they sell too. European chips and cookies, etc. we got the caprese sandwich and the BBQ pulled pork (I had them heat my pulled pork up because I donβt ever want that cold).β

βConsistently lowest fuel prices in Old Town Alexandria. They also do Virginia state safety and emissions inspections. Only downsides: Parking lot is a little tight, and the tap to pay function doesn't work on all pumps.β

βHad to make a quick dinner decision. No hot wings, baked chickens etc. Justin boxed frozen dinners. No family meals. Single frozen dinners. Accepts EBT but not the Senior Healthy Benefits UCard. The Convenience Store is in an ALL income area. Home owners, renters, and Seniors. Most people are on a fixed income and Seniors could buy more if they had more fresh fruits and veggies and accepted the Senior Benefit Card. The younger home owners have a great selection of wines.β

βFantastic selection of beer, wine, and snacks, and reliably has pantry staples like sugar, flour, onions, coffee creamer, etc. Owner/manager is friendly and pleasant, and the "requested items" board near the entrance is a nice touch. I live on the other side of Florida Ave NW, but will happily walk the extra blocks to get here!β
βBolling Commissary is always a clean, well-kept spot that has all your basic grocery needs. I used to shop here regularly when I lived closer because it was quiet, organized, and always stocked.
That said, this review is all about the sushi inside the Commissaryβand let me just say, itβs hands down the BEST sushi Iβve ever had. Iβve traveled all over the world, including Japan, and this sushi is truly a hidden gem. Itβs always fresh, always delicious, and never disappoints.
My go-to is the chicken teriyaki roll, but I also love the shrimp tempura roll. Honestly, I could eat it every single day. I highly recommend it to anyone in the areaβdefinitely give it a try!β

TL:DR - Hiring process is crap and annoying to deal with, Hispanic section is good, and their donuts are AMAZING.
Come here AT LEAST for the donuts, fr worth it.
8 of my friends (9 including me) never got any kind of response when we applied to work here, plus the managers always seemed to mysteriously unavailable to be spoken to.
I've literally called the store, got told to call back the next morning, called the next morning, "Manager on vacation" :/
when will they be back? " X date." Thanks so much.
Called back on X date, "She'll be here tomorrow morning" thanks.
Calls back tomorrow morning, "Hi, not here. Call again tomorrow morning."
At which point I came INTO THE STORE to speak with this elusive hiring manager, just to be told that they were on vacation and won't be back for a while.

So suffice to say, hiring process seems messy, outdated, unreliable, and flat out non-functional at times.
The website needs to be updated, the employees need proper customer service training because regardless of what I'm calling about, and who's answering, it's always in a tone that sounds like I might aswell be interrupting a neurosurgeon mid incision.
The only redeeming quality of this store is what it sells, and I'm not talking standard groceries.
Not only does Shoppers have a decent spread of hispanic foods, ingredients, drinks & snacks, but it's also got some of, if not THE BEST donuts you could buy from a store.
The donut chains like Dunkin or Krispy Kreme got nothing on SFW donuts, they got Croissant donuts (Cronuts), marble iced, Holland Creme (my favorite), jam filled, lemon pudding filled, boston creme, and of course all your standard donut types like powdered, brown sugar, plain and glazed, not to even mention some specialty ones they have on occasion like the apple pie filled brown sugar, or marbled icing cronuts.
Plus they're reasonably priced, which automatically raises the rating for me.

βI stopped in on my way home, I walked from East Falls Church Metro Station down the street (less than 5mins walk), to grab an easy dinner for my wife and I. Not only did I get a great deal by ordering and paying for a pepperoni ? pizza on the 7-11 app (it was only $8??), but I redeemed 2 rewards as well (?οΈfountain sodas?), and I returned to my home in Reston with dinner for under ??βΌοΈ The guy working tve register was very helpful and got me on my way quickly! Very happy!β€οΈ?β

βThere is ALWAYS a line of cars fighting for a spot, rudely clogging up the street and making traffic difficult. Why? Because the gas here is almost pre-biden priced. It's at least 50 cents cheaper than anywhere else nearby. No wonder it's always a fight to get in. It would be perfect if the narcissists didn't clog up the streets nearby.β
βTook my car to get new tires installed. EXCELLENT SERVICE! Usman (hope Iβm spelling that properly) and the crew did a phenomenal job with the install. Easily the friendliest and most professional mechanic I have ever been to. 100% recommend.β
βIβm a tradesman, working in Georgetown often. Forgot my lunch today and decided to tryout Saraβs. I canβt say that itβs the cheapest option, but that was the most delicious salad Iβve ever had !! Prosciutto cut to order, delicious greens and fresh cut tomatoes. And such a quaint little store I was the only customer the whole time I was there. Most of the things on the shelf were very expensive, a great convenience for those whose time is more valuableβ

βI stopped by the Shell gas station in Springfield specifically because it participates in the Upside program, which offers rewards and discounts. Overall, my experience was positive. The gas station was clean and well-maintained, and the attendant was friendly and helpful.
The only drawback was that one of the gas pumps was out of order, which was a minor inconvenience. However, the remaining pumps were functioning properly, and I was able to fill up quickly and easily.
One note to keep in mind is that the gas station's location on a corner can make it a bit tricky to navigate, with three entrances to choose from. However, once you're inside, the station is easy to navigate, and the staff is happy to help with any questions or concerns. Overall, I would still recommend this Shell gas station to anyone in the area, especially if you'reΒ anΒ UpsideΒ user.β
