“I’ve used them for a couple of years now but what really earned them the five stars is when my tire blew out on the highway and I had to get my car towed there in the middle of the night. The next day it was musical-cars for me. Nothing. Went as planned except for Discount Tires. They were efficient, friendly, and communicative. However, what surprised me was they didn’t charge me anything. I thought it was a mistake. I told them this isn’t a car we’ve ever brought in (new car - we’ve brought in others). They told me that they don’t charge for a simple flat. Now, I don’t know if that’s because they know I’m a customer or if they do that for everyone. Either way, it definitely sets the right tone and keeps me as a satisfied customer.”

We had it towed to Mechanicsville Honda hoping for the best news about a repair but preparing for the worst. We ended up purchasing a new 2023 Honda Ridgeline long distance while we were down in Orlando. The entire team there starting with Andrew in service, Emilio in sales and Daryl in finance, made a complicated transaction go as smoothly as possible. My only regret is that we don't live closer to Mechanicsville Honda because after the treatment we received, I would never go anywhere else. True professionals with honesty and integrity. “Great place to buy used parts. The yard is well organized, vehicles lifted, so it's pretty easy to take from underneath, a lot of wheelbarrows to borrow to carry your tools. Prices are very affordable, staff polite and helpful. Also they have large parking lot for customers, I easily got in and out with semi truck with 53' trailer.

“A while back I visited almost every auto body shop in town looking for someone to paint my 34-year-old Ford F-250 pickup. It was badly rusted, paint was almost completely gone, and some body parts were damaged. After visiting many, and after working the phone looking for shops in central Virginia, I happened to run into Steve Robinson of Capital City Collision. Steve was pretty up front with me, telling me that my truck was just going to take too much work and would block up a shop for too long. BUT… he did agree to take it if I’d just leave it, and they’d get to it whenever they had free time. (I’d learned from the others that these shops make their money from the insurance company jobs; full repair and repaint jobs just aren’t where the money is.) He warned me it was going to take a while. And it did! BUT, I recently got my truck back, and it looks just like it did the day it came from the dealership in 1990! Ford’s two-tone red and white paint looks original! They’ve matched up new rubber accents and replaced mirrors and pin stripes. They even took dents out of trim and replaced a rotted-out bumper. This truck looks brand new! (Did I mention they cleaned, removed and replaced the painted in bed liner?). My goal all along has been to return my father-in-law’s favorite truck to good condition... and these guys overshot the goal! To Steve and all the guys there, I say Thanks! A big thank you for exceeding all my expectations! And a special thanks for what I consider to be a more than fair price! You guys are the best!”

“Superb location. Unfortunately, some of the staff and visitors can be a bit obnoxious aboit getting into your personal space. I had people walk by while I worked on my car only for their friend to take pictures of me from their car in the distance. A lot of people I don't want in my life kept showing up and engaging in that kind of behavior. I worked there for a couple of days as i roadtrip. Just a strange and uncomfortable experience. In the surrounding shops, customers wait till you walk in before lunging towards the checkout lines with carts full of groceries. Just a bunch of not so well meaning people.”
“This Walmart auto ?center is always great in changing oil ?tires, and air filters. However, they are short staffed. You have to catch them when you can.The hours available on the website don't always match. Very disappointing. It took three days to get an oil change.But like I said they do a great ?job.”
