Care-A-Lot, 301 Oyster Point Rd, Newport NewsMy go to for all the fur baby goodies and necessities I need This location is conveniently located off two main roads in the shopping center beside cvs and planet fitness I love browsing the aisles for funny dog toys most of which I don't but simply because my big baby destroys everything I hand her hahaha But I usually always find at least one worthy toy and some treats for her The staff her are very pleasant and not overbearing I feel the prices are reasonable and if you go towards the back they Even have free samples near their restrooms sometimes treats or food definitely great to keep for hikes with the pup They also have a boarding area daycare type section and even a groomer I have not used those services yet but soon I might take advantage of that

After walking in to get my dog's nails trimmed, I discovered Michael A (Mike) and he has been an absolute godsend! Completely changed my perspective on this location!
I have never received a hands-on report assessment (report card) after having my dog there for bathing until our visit with Mike! It included a complete breakdown of everything he did and every product used, and even how many free kisses he received!
He shows genuine care and compassion for my dog, even more so than most vets I have been to. It's rare to have an amazing interaction anymore that's worth sharing, but this PetSmart location truly has an amazing individual!

I frequently pet sit for my best friend and decided to give the Foxy Roxy team a try after a bad experience at another salon where I took my friends dog, so this was a corrective groom. The groomer was so caring and sweet with our dog. She listened to all of our concerns and I felt very comfortable leaving her with them. She looked adorable when we picked her up and we will definitely be returning. So glad we found them!

I can not choose who I want my dog to see because I love them both equally the same. Dr. Mackey and Dr.Cork and I know they both truly care about my dog. The front staff is so friendly and all the attendants are knowledgeable and very kind. You can not go wrong choosing this clinic. Dr. Lee is absolutely incredible. She has a way with Walker that is so special. She gets down on the floor with him, speaks his language, plays with him, and earns his trust before even beginning an exam. That level of care and patience means everything to me.
Walker has had a very rough first year of life — parvo at just 4 months old, kennel cough, pneumonia — and he is alive because of the team here. Their quick action, knowledge, and dedication truly saved him.
Last night, I ran in quickly to pick up medication and left Walker in the car since I was only going to be a minute. Dr. Lee and two of the techs came running out with me just to see him and check on him after his neuter surgery. That meant more to me than they probably realize. They genuinely love him, and it shows in everything they do.
The care, compassion, and attention Walker receives here is phenomenal. I am beyond grateful to have found a team that treats my dog like their own.

Over the course of about 10 weeks, we completed three training courses and worked closely with Aubry. I truly cannot speak highly enough of her or the entire team.
We were nervous at first, but Aubry consistently treated us with kindness, respect, and patience. She took the time to answer every question we had and made the entire process feel approachable and supportive. When it came time for our dog to enter therapy training, Rebecca, the owner, led the class. It quickly became clear where Aubry learned her approach—Rebecca was just as communicative, respectful, and knowledgeable, and she played a huge role in helping our dog successfully earn his therapy certification.
Since completing the program, I’ve recommended On Command to over a dozen people. The quality of training, the professionalism of the staff, and the positive environment they’ve created are truly outstanding.

Best coffee around. I always get the Blondie iced coffee, I would always choose 7brew over Starbucks! My only criticism is not the coffee but a large and deep pothole on their drive thru lane in the Newport News location that is 90% unavoidable if there are other cars in the second drive thru lane, which there are because it's the best coffee around!

12090 Jefferson Ave Ste 1500, Newport NewsGood pizza for Newport News. I really like the soft fluffy dough. We got a medium pepperoni with bacon, the house special, pacific rim, and kosmic karma. My favorite was either the kosmic karma or pacific rim, and thats coming from a meat eater.
The kosmic karma was super juicy. Along with the sauce and other toppings, there were tomatoes added on top which oozed with juice and flavor. It blended well with the other vegetables and sauciness of the entire pizza. I also really liked the Pacific Rim maybe because I like pineapple or because it felt really balanced. The peppers added a nice hint of acidity and spice giving an overall bright flavor profile.
The deluxe and the meat pizza we got was not bad either. I enjoy both of them, but just not as much as the other two. They were still very well executed. All the pizzas had great crust and whatever they put in the Parmesan cheese made the crust taste so good. If you like soft, fluffy crust, then this place will be amazing for you.
Atmosphere is very unique. The booths were in a teacup shaped area. We unfortunately could not sit there because our party was too big, but atmosphere of the entire restaurant general was quite nice and open. It didn’t feel claustrophobic at all and gave a very casual vibe. The service was also quick and fast and they made sure to top off our water whenever we needed it. I wouldn’t hesitate coming back here for another bite. Some of the better pizza I’ve had around Newport News.
