He used to have science diet, but they changed the ingredients and added chicken by-product. So I gave Pawsnickety a shot to find clean food and WOW! THEIR SELECTION IS HUGE! They have so much clean food for our fur babies ?? they're so much happier eating their food and their coat feels so much better! I'll never purchase my food from anywhere else. They really care about the quality of every product they select. I've also had a wonderful experience with every employee Ive spoken with. I love animal lovers and I can tell each one of them is an animal lover. We always talk about our pets. I literally drive from suffolk to shop here and it's absolutely worth it!

Michelle was incredible-she monitored my boy, advocated to our vet when he needed help, PICKED UP additional medication and administered it to him, all with compassion. I do not believe he would have been cared for in this manner at any other facility. I am eternally grateful to all the staff who looked after them during this stressful time.

Friendship Veterinary Hospital
1231 W Little Creek Rd, NorfolkI used Friendship Vet for 3 years while living in Virginia. While the vet techs go above and beyond, and the main Vet is nice enough, the front desk receptionists are less than nice. It really doesn’t matter which one you speak to, they are incredibly short and very rude on the phone. When calling to make an appointment or asking for a refill on a prescription for my dog it’s like I’m inconveniencing them in their job. In person, they are nicer to your face, but after 3 years of dealing with them to make appointments and being met with a bad attitudes on the phone… it just gets old. However, the vet techs deserve all the praise and more! They are super kind, very attentive, and really listen to your concerns. I’d recommend this place solely based off of them.

Also, I was babysitting my son's cat who has diabetes. Dr. Capps was able to attach a blood glucose monitor on his back so I could keep track of his daily blood sugar levels and use the proper amount of insulin. Dr. Capps reviewed the daily glucose graphs and gave advice for his care each day.

The cost is lower than vets in town, and they take our USAA pet insurance. The staff are easy to deal with and are willing to work with you if you can't exactly meet the appointment time. Lab results that weren't required to be sent to another facility came back 2 hours after they were collected, which was amazing.

Norfolk Botanical Garden
6700 Azalea Garden Rd, NorfolkI visited during the honey bee festival and had a great time. There were a lot of free and fun activities and a good amount of swag to earn. I went home with a bag full of goodies and newfound knowledge of pollinators. The garden itself is massive and full of beautiful flowers and trees.
We took the tram and were delighted with our tour guide Morgan. She was informative, friendly, and fun.
Also, I’d recommend going to the smokehouse food truck. The jerk chicken with peas and beans was amazing

The service was incredible and the food was to die for. The head chef there is a wizard in the kitchen who crafts the most decadent meals. The salmon was best salmon I've ever had and my wife's gnocchi was right up there. If you're ever in Norfolk go there and give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

The restaurant is always clean. It's a locally owned small business that is owner operated. They sell an assortment of fresh butchered meats as well as imported goods such as pasta and wine and olive oil from Italy but I love that they also offer local wine selections. They offer fresh baked goods such as desserts and breads. Their sweet focaccia is to die for ! It always sells out pretty quickly. They also offer a lunch menu that features burgers and sandwiches which are also great. This is one of my top 10 Norfolk eateries for sure !

You'll get all types of advice on all things dog and everything else and tons of kisses from all breeds. My dog loves it. No gadgets or gimmicks, but there are pools for the dogs in the summer and a fresh water pump and bowls all year round.
