“This is a beautifully laid out, curated, and displayed gift shop. It kind of looked like one of the art exhibits in its own way. I wish I had thought to snap a photo of it. They had quite an eclectic mix of items for sale and in a wide range of prices. I enjoyed hunting for unique souvenirs of our visit to this Richmond institution. My daughter found a beautiful and expensive looking headband for only $15, very reasonable for what it was. The staff were also friendly and kind.”

“Beasties is a go-to shop for me when looking for gifts--the local goods and art section in the back of the store always has great options. I must admit that sometimes I can't help but shop for myself though... I'm a big fan of the sticker and plushie (larger brands or local artist made) selections, haha. They also have candles, local snacks, cute toys and puzzles, options for young kids and older, just to name a few of the areas that catch my eye. Wonderful and welcoming Richmond store!”

“This is my absolute favorite place to shop in all of Richmond! There are so many talented local artists that sell their goods in this shop. There is also an excellent mix of vintage and antique items. I could literally spend two hours in this shop just browsing. The owner, Anne, is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Nanette, who also works there, is so kind and welcoming every time I visit. What Anne has done to support the local art community, is so commendable. You can tell she truly cares about every artist that is in her shop.”

“I went here with my mom. They definitely have unique gifts and some cute clothing that you won't find elsewhere. Their clothing prices are insanely high. I would say that if the dresses etc. were made from expensive material or extremely well made they would appear to be worth the price? PERCEIVED value is definitely a thing. Things there ARE beautiful don't get me wrong and for some people money doesn't matter so if that's you or even if it's not just know that going in. Staff were nice as well.”

Lots of Scout bags, Yeti products, college items, clothing, jewelry, leather bags, yard decor, etc, plus they have the cutest gift wrapping available complementary. They also do a great job with monogramming! Definitely pricey, but high-end, quality merchandise.”
“Hampton House is under new ownership as of January 1, 2023, and the store looks great! The new owner, Jennifer, has freshened up the store, while keeping the traditional bridal registry. She's bringing in new gift items, baby items, furniture and her mirror and lamp selections are amazing! I highly recommend stopping by to see the new and improved Hampton House!”
