We loved the little touches to help us feel welcome, including high quality coffee and fresh milk for making coffee the next morning.
The beds were incredibly comfortable. I was happily surprised!
We enjoyed the brewery downstairs. A great variety of beers and cocktails. I loved the room adjacent to where the beers are poured. It was cozy and well styled.
Breakfast the next morning was fantastic! My husband had some food restrictions and the staff went out of their way to make my husband something that he would be able to eat. I appreciated that extra effort. The chia pudding with pomegranate and toasted coconut flakes as well as the crepe, salad and fresh fruit were all on point.

Copper Fox Distillery Sperryville
9 River Ln, SperryvilleSmall distillery at the very end of a mini entertainment district, which you wouldn't expect from the main road. Very homey and comfy inside, lots of wood and warm decor, playlist of bluegrass sonds. The tasting of four quarter pours at 10$ is a good way to try their style. It's not bourbon, it's whisky: they are not limited in the grains or the barrels. So they're quite creative. Although the description provides no age statement (unfortunately), it's all quite easy to sip, nothing harsh (not a very long finish either). Fun to try if you're around.

7G River Ln, SperryvilleA group of 15 of us stopped in this brewery and discovered the coolest and fun place. The bartender was great and the beers were tasty. So many fun games for everyone. It’s also fun to learn a little sign language to show our appreciation. Great place and people!!!! Go! Relax and enjoy!

31 Main St, SperryvilleEverything was great. Had the breakfast sandwich on croissant and the warm croissant with Nutella. Latte and drip coffee (the coffee was excellent). It was busy but we were served quickly and found a nice table in a corner of the wine tasting room.

Pen Druid Brewing
3863 Sperryville Pike, SperryvilleAmazing authentic Belgian style lambic and gueze brewery. Most beers and cider are on the tart or sour side - but traditional Belgian rather than most US sours that skirt being vinegar. I was there for the 10 year anniversary and was lucky enough to try a few aged and collaborations they opened for the event - all were amazing. It reminded me of Cantillon or 3 Fontein at their best.
Food was also incredible- not at all what you would expect. There is a clear focus on quality ingredients and flavors. I got a bit of the raw tuna on fresh tomato and the peach cobbler. Both were superficially simple but with layers of complexity and deliciousness - just like the beers!

Rappahannock Pizza Kitchen (RPK)
3710 Sperryville Pike, SperryvilleI don't know why we waited so long to try this place. The food was incredible and it's fun watching them make the pizza. It's said you eat with your eyes first and the pizzas did look perfect. One supreme and one pepperoni both excellent! The young man who was our server did a great job better than some fine dining restaurants so kudos to him. I love service with a smile. It's definitely worth the drive from Culpeper.

From the beginning, Abigail was incredibly accommodating, the food was delicious, the cocktails top-notch and the service was outstanding all night long. Every detail was handled with care and our guests were truly impressed. I'm grateful for how seamless and special they made my celebration! I highly recommend the Black Twig for any event!
