Upon his return, Fred made a point to check in on my progress personally—a testament to his dedication. I’ve visited the branch multiple times since then, and each visit reinforces the feeling of being ‘at home’. Though I’m still awaiting some final credentials, the initial impressions and ongoing interactions with Fred and his team at Truist Bank on South Military Highway have been nothing short of exceptional. “I came her to help handle some banking things for my elderly father, and I will say that everything went according to plan. Our banker, Vicky, was very nice, super friendly, and very helpful. She was more than happy to answer all of our questions regarding the different types of accounts available at BayPort. The only downside to this credit union is that there are a few branches in the Hampton Roads area, so it might be difficult to deal with the credit union if you live outside of the area. At least on the few times that I have visited the credit union, the wait time was very minimal.”

In 2018 we started the divorce process and she was so patient with helping us as we figured out some of the financial aspects, including assisting us with getting my car put in my name with a new loan. The timing wasn't right (read: we were a mess and didn't have anything together on our end.) She was patient and understanding. When I went back months later she really helped me look at things from every angle and helped me see all my options- not just the ones that would be beneficial to her/Bayport. I really felt like she scared and made an effort to make a genuine connection. She is a delight to be around and I will drive out of my way to visit this Bayport location just so I can continue doing business with her. On a more general note about this branch- it's in a convenient location. My interaction with the tellers has been positive. There is plenty of parking.”

And one review said that they kept not taking her incident report number and would hang up on her? That doesn't even make sense. I haven't always been most pleasant person to talk to. I'm terrified of my financial situation. I went through BK in July 2022. I probably will never get this car paid off! That's not Tidewater's I'm just so grateful that they gave me a loan for this car. I'm the one who said yes to it. So who am I to complain about it? And again, they've given me no reason to complain.
