We’ve been bringing our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels here for over 10 years for their “puppy cuts.” This significantly reduces their amount of shedding, the need for self grooming and the amount of dirt/mud getting tracked around on their feet & fur. Super pleased with Danielle’s services! Don’t be surprised if it takes a while to get on her schedule- she is much loved by many!

1615 Bendigo Blvd N, North BendBEST animal clinic in the PNW. They treat your pet like family and do everything to make them comfortable. My dog was terrified of everything when I got him; he was a rescue and needed patience and calm. They are a certified “fear free” clinic, which means they handle your pet with patience and go their speed. On his first visit, he shook and cowered. The vet Lisa and her wonderful staff, did not manhandle him, but instead waited, sat on the floor and talked to him. Fast forward to five years later. My dog almost crawls out the window with excitement when he realizes we are pulling into the clinic, because he is cannot wait to see his friends! It is one of his favorite places. Being a certified fear free clinic puts NBAC above the rest and they practice it. It is not just a sticker they put on their name tags, it is a process that they learn and go through training to receive the certification.
I also had a beautiful kitty that was my heart. She was also very fractious and quite terrifying to anyone that tried to do anything to her, except me. Instead of forcing her and making it a stressful situation, she was allowed to walk around the room and get familiar with where she was. She still “beat them up” but it was never like her visits to previous vets, where she had been forced and rushed. When she was 15 she was diagnosed with cancer. We did everything to save her. After her surgery, she was given 8 months to live and I was devastated. During this time, I was in often to get medication. They were so kind to me. She surpassed the 8 months, but the dreadful day came and they shed tears of compassion with me.

I had no idea I could have such a trusting and respectful partnership with a dog, but with over 30 years of training and field experience, Mary has completely changed my perspective on dog ownership. I’m excited to keep working with her and get Teddy into some competitions! I highly recommend her services to anyone looking to improve their relationship with their dog.

There was plenty of outdoor seating, food arrived quickly, and the whole group left fat and happy! Shout out to Roderigo for making the experience unforgettable.

Blackwater Brewing
412 Main Ave S, North BendGreat new spot in North Bend by the WA DOL and Ace Hardware. They opened up November 2025. Large space with plenty of tables and a long bar with lots of bar seating. They offer tap beers, bottled beers, wine, and they have a full bar. Menu is decent. They are only equipped with an oven, so mostly pizzas, sandwiches, and salads. My kids ordered the baked wings and the giant pretzel. Husband got the brisket sandwich (10/10) and I ordered the house salad (arugula beet salad) Service is kind and friendly. Our Bartender Cooper was extra helpful by answering all my questions. Restrooms are unisex and are nice and clean. Kid and dog friendly. Although they are kid friendly, they don't have a kids menu yet or high chairs. Live music on Saturdays. Can't wait to stop by in the summer time when the garage doors are open!

The cherry pie is a must have. Great atmosphere both when it’s busy and when it’s not. All staff are incredibly friendly. Such a wonderful experience overall.
