Mud Bay
1590 NW Gilman Blvd, IssaquahBig selection of Toys, Treats, Clothing for your pets. Different variety of animal treats and food. I personally have a chicken and 2 dogs and did leave with multiple things for them. The pricing to portion ration on food and treats is good. There is a good selection of cheap interesting treats for your dogs to expensive very unique treats. The employees were very nice and helpful, I never felt rushed or judged. Very clean and up kept on the inside. I do recommend coming here if you are in the area, me and my wife stopped by and left satisfied with what we got for our animals.

Petco
975 NW Gilman Blvd, IssaquahI went to Issaquah Petco to shop for harness and lease for my small ShihTzu. I didn’t know her needed size or how to put on some harnesses. I asked for help from Tony the employee and got the most thoughtful care I have received in a long while. He not only took the time to actually fit my baby but also pointed out pros and cons due to her size.
Mr. Manager, you have an excellent employee in TONY!

Pet Grooming

The Wizard of Paws Pet Salon
4518 Klahanie Dr SE, IssaquahLove having my multigenerational Australian Labradoodle groom here! Sheila and her staff are dogs and cats people and it shows by how much my dog loves her. He is very happy to go to WoP and greets everyone. He will specially go to Shiela to give her kisses. He always gets super nice grooming. One time that he threw up in the car after grooming (not the groomer's fault), Shiela gave me a follow-up call to make sure he is okay. During the pandemic I tried to groom him myself, it took us over 4 hours! I appreciate that Shiela does it in about 2.5 hours. The hidden gem here is self wash stations. My doodle was so calm while being shampooed and blow dry here, the opposite of getting shampoo at home. I hope their business continues to do well and they never leave the plateau!

Pet Care

Meadows Cat Hospital
1480 NW Gilman Blvd # 6, IssaquahEveryone at Meadows Cat Hospital is absolutely fabulous. Everyone is so kind and friendly. With the vets I’ve had in the past, nothing compares to them. It is clear they care about their feline patients. The prompt calls with test results, and the follow up calls after vaccines or surgeries, shows that care. Also, Dr. Sparks is lovely! She talks you through everything and is very informative. For anyone with cats in the area, I highly recommend this vet.

Cobblestone Animal Hospital
600 NW Gilman Blvd d, IssaquahWe are extremely pleased with the care our pets receive, and the kindness of the staff towards our pets and us. I particularly appreciate the time spent, and now we’ll the doctors explain things when you have a sick pet. We changed to Cobblestone last year and are very happy we did.

Alpine Animal Hospital, A Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner
888 NW Sammamish Rd, IssaquahWe had such a great experience with this vet while taking care of our dog, Blizzy. Everyone was friendly, patient, and made us feel comfortable right away. They took the time to explain things clearly and treated Blizzy with so much care and kindness.
It really meant a lot knowing she was in good hands. We’re so thankful for the great care and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a vet they can trust!

Owens Equine
9506 240th Ave SE, IssaquahI reached out to Dr Owen’s on thanksgiving morning. I had called many many home vets hoping to have my dog euthanized at home instead of at the ER. Unfortunately my dog passed peacefully at the ER, but only Dr Owens got back to me with her availability. We wanted to take my dog home so our other pet could say goodbye. She offered to pick her up in the evening for a private cremation. I really appreciate that she communicated and provided services on thanksgiving day with little notice.she stayed in touch through the process, and her husband who came to pick up the body was so respectful towards us and my dogs body.
Her remains were kept safely in a dry location, and they came in a nice package with a beautiful wooden box, and paw prints and hair. She provided exceptional service in our darkest hour. Highly recommend her.

Annotto Bay Veterinary Clinic
425 Rainier Blvd N #3, IssaquahDr Allen is truly to most caring and friendly vet around. Her staff is fantastic as well.
Going to the vet is never fun for anyone, but she does her best to make both you and your furry family feel at ease. She’ll do everything on the floor with your pup if your pup is too nervous to be on the table. That’s just one of the many things she does. We’ve been going to her for years and honestly can’t imagine going any where else. Even after we moved about an hour away we still go back to her.

Cougar Mountain Veterinary Hospital & Wellness Center
880 Front St S, IssaquahDr Friedman is super nice and gentle with my dog. My dog is usually very nervous at the vet, but he allowed the me to be with my dog during the examination which made my doh feel much less nervous. He did a thorough examination and it was a great experience!

Banfield Pet Hospital
1505 11th Ave NW, IssaquahI was able to get an appointment within the same week for a Rabies vaccine prior to international travel. I was seen on time, my pup received his shot and medication refill, and we were in and out within 15 minutes! I have been to many Banfields across the country and this has been my best experience! Thanks team.

Pet Sitting & Training

Jax Dog Drop Riverdog
1400 19th Ave NW, IssaquahLove, love, love this second home to LucyRose. The staff at Jax are so helpful, positive, and awesome with the “doggy manners” (can I just say “excited peeing”). Our first training experience was with Tyli, who with her gentle expertise set us up with a life time enthusiasm for Jax Dog Drop. Our next experience with Leah affirmed our decision to remain.
If not for Jax, my life with Lucy might not have gone so well, she is gentle, but an extremely willful Newfoundland—in fact I might have lost hope and been one of those pets being led around by their furry companion; wait, this still sometimes happens, we are sooo not done with training.
The Jax facility is prepared, spacious, clean and welcoming!

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

12th Avenue Cafe
775 NW Gilman Blvd, IssaquahService was quick and friendly. Atmosphere is very happy and family oriented. Unfortunately there aren't vegan options on the menu besides a few sides. But it's a nice spot to sit down for a cup of coffee with free refills.

Sunset Alehouse
20 Front St S, IssaquahI always enjoy my food here. Last time we went, we loved our burgers, Reuben, and fish & chips. They even have gluten free buns. Next time, I’ll try a salad. Service is superb too!! Very friendly and helpful staff. Food comes out fast!

Capri Cellars
88 Front St S, IssaquahWhat a great wine bar! The level of knowledge with various levels of WSET degrees is pretty special. It’s rare to see that in one place. Their retail selection of wines and at the price points is equally compelling. If you love wine, find a way to visit here. Brenda, Matt, Matthew are all very friendly!

1802 12th Ave NW C, IssaquahGot thicken and the bbq duck/pork combo. Everything was good, the chicken was a tiny bit salty.

The Great American Diner & Bar
212 Front St N, IssaquahClean, good food, fast service, amazing atmosphere, and hefty servings. The food isn’t going to blow you away as top tier, but it’s the best diner food I’ve had in the king county area. Will happily go back. Got the veggie scramble which came loaded with veggies, and the country potatoes were very good. Has vegetarian options!

Nicolino Ristorante Italiano
317 NW Gilman Blvd #30A, IssaquahThe food and atmosphere were fantastic, the service could have been a little more meticulous for the price. Delicious coctails, fresh seafood and veggie antipasti, better paella than resturants that specialize in paella! The seafood was perfectly seasoned and charred. The grill chef must be a magician. We had looked forward to the tiramusu, but the lemon cake was moist and sweet and wonderfully tart.
On the other hand, it would be better to make sure plates are cleared before setting down the next course, and returning the check wallet while standing at another table talking to the patrons there was a little rude.

Paseo Issaquah
6160 E Lake Sammamish Pkwy SE, Issaquah
I ordered the Paseo Sandwich with fries, and I have to say, it’s the best Caribbean sandwich I’ve ever had. It easily outperforms many sandwich shops in Washington. The roast pork was juicy and paired perfectly with the caramelized onions and jalapeños. The fries were slightly crispy, and when combined with the sauce, they were amazing.
My only complaint is that the sandwich had a bit too much juice from the roast pork. It’s definitely something you’d want to eat at the restaurant, because the bread can get soggy if you wait too long.
Nothing too special, but the server was friendly. Our order was taken promptly, and the food was delivered quickly.
Nice, small layout with warm and welcoming vibes. It definitely gives off an Caribbean feel.

Burgermaster
98 NE Gilman Blvd, IssaquahLooking forward to the Grand Opening, when they have the Drive In up and running, but happy they are here now, only if it’s a temporary drive through. The building is comping along though, are we’re super happy to have them in town. There burgers are awesome! Who needs an In-and-Out when there’s a Burger Master! Truth.

Formula Brewing
1875 NW Poplar Way, IssaquahGood time, great outdoor location. The only drawback was the about of bees that were in the area. One took a small piece of a chicken wing from my friend's plate. It may be worthwhile to put sunflowers or something in the area to lure them away from the food.
Update...still good food and beers, but would be nice if the inside benches separate from the table. I realized that I am not as limber as I used to be when sitting with friends.

The Well and Table
317 NW Gilman Blvd #43, IssaquahI love this spot so much. It's a chic little place with the best small plates, wine, and staff. I love just sitting at the bar and people watching and yip yapping with the sweet bartenders. Their basil Mac and cheese is yum with a nice white wine. In the summers their burrata is amazing and all their great salads. I like the fact that they don't have huge portion sizes.

Starbucks
725 NW Gilman Blvd, IssaquahUsed to come here all the time but the vibe has shifted. Everyone used to seem so happy, but last I went in there they were all getting barked at by an older woman who I’m assuming was their manager. But from what I saw the only thing she managed to do was stress out and confuse her employees. Starbucks has been going through lots of changes as of recently and none have seemed to be for the better. Only giving a high rating for the standout baristas who have always given me a great experience. But what I saw literally scared me for them.

Caffe Ladro - Issaquah
1200 10th Ave NE, IssaquahSuch a go-to spot for me. Anytime I’m nearby, I stop in. The staff is super friendly and they make really good coffee. Medici is one of my favorites. It’s refreshing and tastes great. The place is cozy, clean, and just feels welcoming. I also love their roast blends.
Like Luke 10:7 says, after a tough assignment it’s good to rest. This is a great place to chill and enjoy a good drink.

Tiger Mountain Coffee
Parking lot, 102 Front Street South, IssaquahExceptional service and genuine hospitality. ?
Miss Raeann’s recommendation was spot-on. The white chocolate macadamia nut cookie was excellent? and the poppy seed muffin hit that perfect balance of flavor and texture. You can tell care goes into what they offer here, not just the coffee, yet the entire experience.
Service was friendly, attentive, and authentic, the kind that makes you want to come back. I am very much looking forward to trying her sourdough and whatever other magical creations come out of this place.
Highly Recommended!!!
