Pet Grooming
The Wizard of Paws Pet Salon
4518 Klahanie Dr SE, IssaquahSheila is the best cat groomer in the Seattle metro region - schedule immediately. Why? Cat groomers are not a dime a dozen like dog groomers. And I found this out the hard way relocating from Chicago to Seattle this past summer.I have two Persian females sisters who are accustomed to monthly beauty parlor appointments to keep them in tip top shape and feeling their best.We had an amazing groomer in Chicago who we saw for several years. Upon moving to Seattle we were initially guided in the wrong direction with a horrible groomer in Bothel who severely assaulted my one Persian during her session with said Monster.I called my previous groomer in Chicago who then did her research and generously found Sheila and her establishment in Issaquah. My Chicago groomer said Sheila was properly trained (as many groomers are not - they just switch careers and call themselves cat groomers with no training). That’s not the case with Wizard of Paws. This is a wonderful establishment full of love and quality groomers who care - including the woman who owns and operates this beauty of a cat grooming parlor. We had a great first experience today and Sheila pulled herself away from her lunch to meet me and my two girls and put us all at ease given our previous experience in Bothel 8 weeks ago.Sheila suggested no bathing for Snowhite since she still has an open wound on her back left hip from the previous “groomer.”Both girls came home looking amazing and happy and purring and Snowhite told me she feels safe in her new beauty parlor.Prices are super reasonable and we immediately scheduled their next spa day for November. And the in-house resident Queen, Dorothy is very loving and welcoming. We found our new people and we are very happy!Wizard of Paws is the Emerald Gem of Seattle!

Pet Care
Owens Equine
9506 240th Ave SE, IssaquahWe had a home euthanasia with Dr. Owens for our sweet pitbull pup. Luna was diagnosed with lymphoma at 4 years old and progressed fairly quickly. Dr. Owens came to our home and with the upmost kindness and compassion let us stay with our pup on her favorite blanket on our couch while she passed over the rainbow bridge. Her care during this most difficult time allowed us to avoid a traumatizing visit to the vet, and our other dog was able to be present to help with his understanding of losing his little sister. It’s the worst thing in the world to have to say goodbye but Dr. Owens made it the best possible experience.

Issaquah Veterinary Hospital
795 1st Ave NW, IssaquahBest Vet Ever! Issaquah Veterinary Hospital is really awesome. We moved to Fall City last year and got a Doberman puppy to add to our 9 year old lab mix. They have been *so* good and responsive, etc. taking care of both pups. I think we have seen all of the veterinarians and vet techs, and everyone has been outstanding!

Annotto Bay Veterinary Clinic
425 Rainier Blvd N #3, IssaquahMy girlfriend was in a panic after a terrible experience at another vet when her dog was injured. Not only did the wonderful vet at Annotto Bay listen to her, comfort her and her dog, and go above and beyond with kindness and aid, but she restored her faith in humanity. Thank you so much for helping Summer and Pepper!

Alpine Animal Hospital, A Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner
888 NW Sammamish Rd, IssaquahOur foster cat had an open wound we found last night and Alpine got her in this afternoon when the other three (closer) places I called were booked out three days. I arrived 15 minutes early (I was as anxious as the cat) and the guy at the desk was so nice - gave me paperwork and explained both cat exam rooms were occupied but we could wait in a dog exam room. I chose to stay in the lobby and within 10 minutes of our arrival, the equally nice tech came to get our story and take the cat back for an exam.10 minutes after that, a very patient and kind vet came to tell me what they found (puncture wound) and that they were shaving/cleaning the area now, would give her an antibiotic injection and she'd be out shortly. 5 minutes later the tech brings her out, and answers any other questions I could think of. The woman at the desk then rang me up for a reasonable price and I was out the door by 3:15 though my appointment was at 3:00 - total of 30 minutes in and out! I've never had such a fast and yet also perfect vet experience. A+ !!

Xochi Tacos
145 NW Gilman Blvd, IssaquahThis is my all time fav taco place, I love their Chicken Tinga and Papas tacos. It’s a super reasonable place for lunch. My vegetarian friends love it too. The only downside is it closes at 4 pm on weekdays otherwise I would be there more often.

The Great American Diner & Bar
212 Front St N, IssaquahI took my teenagers here on a Friday night and it was great! The service provided by Linda was fast (but not rushed), friendly, and made us feel very welcome. The restaurant was clean and had an older American diner feel.I was in the mood for breakfast (served all day). I had the chicken, fried steak and eggs, and the gravy on the chicken was wonderful! All of our portions were good sized, and the food was really good! I’m sad it took me so long to find The Great American Diner in Issaquah.Parking: This is on busy front street in Issaquah, so there is limited parking on the street and some parking behind the business but many of the spots are reserved.

Paseo
6160 E Lake Sammamish Pkwy SE, IssaquahI am not 100% sure on the 4 stars because I had high hopes, so I dropped one. Pretty disappointed by my sandwich. I ordered a chicken thigh sandwich and it's tough to dry out chicken thighs, but indeed they were. Very few jalapenos too and so it was just dry and not as much flavor as I have had to visits at the sodo location. I will give them another try next time I am out that way, but first time was not great.Parking: Large shopping complex so there is a huge lot for parking.

Sip Restaurant and Wine Bar
1084 NE Park Dr, IssaquahThe food is absolutely amazing, the service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is authentic - warm and cozy. What more could you ask for an Italian restaurant to offer. Go for a birthday, and you may be surprised by a couple of songs ?.

Las Margaritas
59 Front St N, IssaquahLas Margaritas has become a bit of a staple for my family and me. Whether it's a casual dinner or gathering everyone for a birthday celebration, we've made plenty of memories here. The food is good, the prices are fair, and the atmosphere always makes for a great time. One of the highlights, right off the bat, is their chips and salsa. It's one of those things that might seem small, but getting it right sets the tone for the whole meal. And at Las Margaritas, they've definitely got it right. As for the rest of the menu, it's exactly what you'd hope for from a chain Mexican restaurant: tasty, satisfying, and with enough variety to keep everyone happy. We've tried a bit of everything over our visits, and it's all been solid. The consistent quality of the food and the overall experience means Las Margaritas is a go-to for us. We know we can count on having a good meal and a good time, which is what dining out should be all about. We're looking forward to our next family outing there!
