“Diagnostic Check:
First off, I have to give a hand Zach. He listened to every word and made sure to check everything we spoke about.
As far as what they did for me, they did a lot of diagnostic work and ended up doing it for free because they couldn’t find a big issue with the truck. They did an engine blow test to assure we didn’t have a blown head gasket, they replaced a blown fuse for the OBD2 connector (where a code reader plugs in), and drove the car around a bunch twice trying to recreate the issues we saw. When they couldn’t find anything wrong they told me they didn’t feel right charging us for something that didn’t have any issues.
I can’t believe there is still companies out there that will take care of you like this. This place is awesome and just won themselves a customer for life.
For context my wife did the biggest car repair of her life to date. She did a full timing job on our 2005 Ford F-150 5.4L V8 3V Triton engine amongst a bunch of other things (water pump, oil pump, oil pan seal, etc). It was a pretty invasive job compared to everything she has done. It took a her many hours over weekends for 3months. When she finally got the truck back together it fired right up and sounded better than it ever had, but after a few minutes smoke started coming out of the engine bay. We tried taking the truck out on a test drive but with the smoke coming out of the engine bay we didn’t get above 40mph before we took it back home and waited for our Mechanic neighbor to come check it out. The next day our neighbor checked it out, but no smoke. Just our luck. Our neighbor said get it on the highway and try not to baby it. We drove it our in-laws that were 30mi away and it drove great. After hanging out we drove it a few more miles and when we idling at a stop the car had a check engine light and battery light pop up and the oil pressure dropped to low. My wife topped off the oil we started the car and drove it home. Again drove great, but we were not feeling confident in the repair. We wanted a shop to check it out and calm our nerves. Mackert did just the thing and we will be making sure to come back for any future automotive issues.”

“Normally, I bring my car to the dealership for oil changes.On 6/20/25, I brought my 2015 Kia Soul to the Jiffy Lube on Gig Harbor instead. I have been to Jiffy Lube before on occasion, but never this particular location. I was beyond impressed. Matthew O. aka “Ozzy” and Anthony P. did a great job checking out my car and provided excellent customer service. One thing that really impressed me was that Anthony started by asking me to turn on my headlights, including my brights, my turn signals, and my brake lights. I’ve been getting oil changes for decades, and nobody has ever asked me to do that before. Not only does this location of Jiffy Lube go the extra mile, they care about your safety. They have earned my service. From now on, I’ll be bringing my cars to this location of Jiffy Libe. I recommend you do the same.”

“I went in to have my car checked out to see if I have a blown head gasket. Turns out I do but since the mechanic was able to do it in 5 minutes, the owner graciously didn't charge me. I got an appraisal that includes the credit card fee as well as a little extra for parts that may come up. Now I just need to get the money.”

“This was the 2nd time we have used Caliber Collision for fender benders we have unfortunately had. Their service is awesome. Constantly received texts on progress. Jen is awesome to deal with! The whole process was very easy and quick. When the car was done, there was a problem with the passenger latch/lock mechanism. Called them, they said bring it in. I brought it in, they pulled it immediately into their shop and fixed the issue in 10 minutes. Easy. Pleasure to do business with them.”

“Wendy was very friendly and knowledgeable. I drive for an hour to get to Bremerton and I had to wait at the dealership for 2 over hours for the recall item to be resolved. The free coffee was nice, and there was plenty of available seating. BUT, there were two radio stations playing at the same time, different songs, Lord, help other neuro-divergent folks! PLUS someone was bouncing a basketball the entire time. It was cold and windy outside, so waiting indoors was pretty much my only option. The noises drove me nuts. One station from now on, please, guys! And maybe a quieter sport like pingpong or, better yet, a video game maybe?”
