“I highly recommend Century House to anyone seeking fine furniture with exceptional service. We were ordering furniture from out of state for an upcoming move to Madison and Tobin was fantastic. He took time to walk us through a variety of options and even worked with us via FaceTime to look at pieces on the showroom floor. He was attentive, professional and remarkably knowledgeable. The folks at Century House communicated with us every step of the way. Our couch with chaise arrived at Century House with a small piece missing from the manufacturer (not Century House’s fault). They immediately called us and told us they had reorder but still delivered the first piece on time as promised for our use. Then replaced it with an entire new couch just to make sure the missing piece (which was truly minor) matched. Exceptional service. Above and beyond to satisfy the customer. Delivery was also seamless and highly professional. I would give 10 stars if I could. We also love the furniture!”

“i stumbled onto this place by accident while out with friends and we quickly made it a tradition to go there nearly every time we hang out. the workers are super nice and are so passionate in finding the coolest stuff. they have some really unique stuff from books and cameras to rugs and lighting. if you are in the madison area i *highly* recommend checking this spot out”

“Staff here are super nice and easy to work with. Guy was very helpful including carrying items to our car. We never felt pressured to buy anything and the prices are super reasonable. We’re very happy with our purchase.Also, we saw encouraging signs that staff have hanging up for each other and things for staff birthdays. “Skeeter and Erin are welcoming, helpful, hilarious and overall fantastic individuals who helped name pick out two rings. The clothes selection is a cross between comfort and style, boho and chic, and traditional with modern flare. Perfect for island living or keeping cool in warmer weather because of the fresh linen. You could decorate a home with the wide variety of interior adornments. I'm glad I stopped by.”

“Rubin's is either your cup of tea or not. The styles are generally modern, Scandinavian inspired and very interesting. We stopped at their warehouse/larger store (there is also a design center downtown) and found a large showroom full of things I'd very much like to buy. There's a clearance area off to the side that sells floor models and returns at good discounts. We were looking for some lounge-y chairs and there were options aplenty. Helping us was very knowledgeable Barb who was never intrusive and let us look around. After making the rounds, we kept coming back to one specific chair - Barb let us know they had 2 in stock from a cancelled order (most things are made to order) in our preferred color, plus they were included in their anniversary sale. SOLD!! I work on the commercial furniture side and felt that the quality here was oberall very high and the prices, for what you get, are pretty fair. It's not IKEA prices to be fair but it's also not made in China crap that will fall apart and bottom out in a few months. You'll love it if: you appreciate mid century or modern design, want a high level of quality, want to customize items. You won't like it if: you need cupholders in your furniture.”

“This business not only has amazingly modern attractive styles of furniture and home furnishings, it has great customer service. After buying 1 coach, I loved its ease of use as a fold down bed and comfort so much, I bought another and a small one. Then 2 years later, I asked for a repair of a small but important moving piece that came off from maybe a child's exuberant use, and not only did the service come quickly, it came at no cost while going the extra mile to reinforce and prevent future failing. I find the owners to treat me like family, and recommended them to an elderly relative in janesville, and they delivered to her too. She too has been overjoyed at having a spare bedroom go from feeling cluttered to a nice sitting room until company visits, when it becomes an extremely comfortable spare bed. I truly prefer these beds over my regular bed. HUGE improvement over hideaway beds of years ago.”

“Keller was great and answered all my questions when I stopped in on a Friday so that I could be directed to the right mattresses to try. I came back Saturday with my husband to check out the 2-3 matresses I narrowed it down to. Placing the order was easy and delivery was set up for the following Wednesday. Then on Monday I called with some questions and Chad was so helpful. I am so grateful to Chad for helping me add a new foundation to the order and making sure it could be on the same Wednesday delivery. Really outstanding service at Steinhafels Mattress! And of course delivery was great and right on time!”

“Amber was great to work with! I never felt like she was pushy and she was patient with my inability to make a quick decision. I bought two sofas, two chairs, and a new mattress/base. While looking at mattresses I wasn’t quite sold on the more expensive bases and she asked why, listened to what I was saying and didn’t push me to spend more money on something I just didn’t want. I really enjoyed working with her and will be back to buy from her if we need more home furnishings in the future!”

“Updated from 3 to 4.5 stars after I got my furniture delivered. Pros: They have a good variety and selection of furniture and the salesman was nice and helpful. Reasonable prices and it seems to be good quality as well. Their no refunds policy seems a little stricter than some other stores I've been to, but I'm pretty happy with my overall purchase so far. Cons: Trying to organize delivery was tough. Know that they do phone calls and not emails, not even for your purchase receipt so hold on to your paper one. I digress. When I called in the morning to sort out delivery details, they were closed and their voicemail box wasn't set up. For these reasons if yelp would let me I'd take off half a star. ...more pros (Update): The phone receptionist was extremely helpful in getting my delivery time nailed down. The delivery staff came on time and did a good job assembling the pieces quickly. They were professional and made sure they were set up where I wanted. One piece had a manufacturing flaw so they returned a few days later to replace it free of charge. And my furniture is gorgeous, well built and definitely worth the price. After this experience, I am much happier and would recommend A-1 furniture.”
