“This is my second experience using Slumberland Madison east store. The store personnel were terrific and made it easy to decide what I wanted. The delivery guys, Ty and Nate were great. Courteous, respectful and fast at bringing my items in and setting them up. The only hitch was they left one item at the loading place. It was not a problem because I would get the item later. The store was prompt in dealing with the problem, so no worries.”
“We had a wonderful experience with The Stool Store! We purchased stools for my parents, and they absolutely love them. They're both comfortable and stylish, and they fit perfectly in their home.
The estimated wait time was 10–12 weeks, but the stools actually arrived in just 8 weeks, which was a pleasant surprise. While we were waiting, Kris, the owner, went above and beyond by providing loaner stools so my parents could use them in the meantime. That level of customer service is hard to find.

“My boyfriend and I have been looking for couches for quite some time and the experience we had at Rubins was great from beginning to end. We didn’t imagine we’d necessarily be purchasing from them when we walked in, just wanted to browse, and JJ walked up to us to greet us and started conversation with us. We ended up setting up a time with him to have him visit the house and help us in our process. After all, we had visited at least 5 different furniture stores, been looking online, and weren’t finding ANYTHING we liked. Off the bat, what JJ recommended was not a layout or color either of us would have been creative enough to come up with, and we are both so happy we went through with this process and could not be more pleased with the results. I could go on and on, but we were just very impressed by how much consideration was put into making this something that took us and our lifestyle and likes/dislikes in mind. We were very easily able to justify going a little over budget for the great quality of service and products that were provided and I would recommend anyone to at least check out Rubins.”

“Last year we purchased a swimspa and to fully enjoy it wanted to enclose it in way we could use it comfortable year round. I looked at lot of different options and Clearview's pre-engineered custom 4-season room seemed to be best option for us.
Ben the owner came out and we talked through the potential project. This was a large room that we wanted to fit in a small area, it took extensive excavating, precise concrete and landscaping to be possible. He recommended a great contractor that took care of that for us. After all that was done his crew came and in a couple weeks had the room done.
Through the entire process Ben was great with communicating progress and working through things. Most of the room was water and that posed challenges, he did a great job designing an air flow system strong enough to remove humidly but still be ecstatically pleasing. The tub was set in ground, we needed to have access to the sides for maintainece. He build custom removable deck panels that look great to allow this.
Ben and his crew were great, and would recommend them for any deck or sunroom project, especially if you are considering a swim spa. When I called around nobody had any real experience with a room for a swim spa. They did a great job of working through all the issues involved with this and can't be happier with the result.”

“I had an expensive oil painting shipped from a trip that arrived without a wire to hang it. I brought it to Douglas and they put the picture hanger on while I waited and wouldnt let me pay for it! They were so nice and the store has some very nice art work as well. Will definitely go back for. y framing needs.”
“Since we are already Sleep Number bed owners, it was an easy decision when we needed another one for a different location. Denise was so easy and fun to work with and made recommendations that we hadn't even thought of. I will continue to come to this location for all my needs and can't recommend them enough. “Bought a swivel some 28y ago from Rubin’s on Monona Drive. Finally stopped in to replace it. They were so helpful there. NO PRESH! And they even helped me get chair in car saving on delivery charge.

The staff was super helpful and knowledgeable and showed me things I didn't notice (like the fact that a rack with flowy skirts also had pants) and that you sell belts and on and on. Drive over an hour just to see your place(s) and it uplifted my soul as always!! ?”
“We bought a gas fire table from Chalet ski and patio last year. It was a great experience, so much more personalized than one of the big box stores. We thought the price was comparable and the salesperson was great. Earlier this month we contacted John about a part that needed replacing, and some help we needed getting the fire table started again after the winter. He wrote out in—depth instructions and emailed them to me. Today he brought the piece that needed replacing to our home. You don't get service like this anymore, it was so appreciated. We plan to add more furniture to our patio in the future. We will go back to Chalet Ski for it.”
“We started our furniture shopping day at a few of the “usual” big box stores and by the time we walked into At Home in Madison, we were already exhausted from being hunted down by salespeople like it was the opening scene of The Hunger Games.
Then we met Brian. Total opposite experience. Brian was awesome. Super accommodating, funny, helpful, and just genuinely easy to work with. Shout out to Daniel who was great too. Both of them somehow made furniture shopping actually enjoyable, which honestly feels impossible. From helping us find a cart (rookie mistake) to arranging a tricky delivery to even pointing out a matching piece that was on sale which we hadn’t noticed originally.
No pressure. No awkward hovering. Just really good people helping customers the way it should be done. We’ll absolutely be back.”
“I have worked with them in the past (about 5 years ago) got a tv and PlayStation. Service has always been great and helped my credit a TON. I went yesterday and got a new washer and dryer. I worked with Becky Jo :) who was AMAZING and honestly had a wonderful time with great conversation. She went above and beyond to make sure I knew what I wanted as well as made sure it got delivered SAME DAY. She also was the same one who came brought it in, hooked it up and made sure it worked properly. Definitely recommend the gammon rd store and work with Becky Jo.”
“I like going through this store every now and then. They have so much inventory and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Their prices on furniture are typically too high for furniture flippers like me. However, they do have some nice antique wood furniture if you are willing to pay the price. They have three floors to peruse. Their basement is filled with housewares, dishes, electronics, tools, holiday decorations, books and linens. Their upper floor is artwork, picture frames, bed frames, small furniture and picture frames. The main floor is where the large furniture and quality glass and porcelain pieces are located. They don't have air conditioning or heating though. So, the summer heat presents a bit of a problem. Otherwise, you should check them out!”

“Great values here for a neighborhood where food merchants often take advantage of students with high prices. But I learned today that this location will not be accepting cash. I'm not sure everyone is comfortable using their cards at Target given their 2013 data breach that compromised card information...and not everyone has ready access to a credit or debit card. I feel like Target's unfortunate data breach is a wake-up call to shoppers to consider shopping with cash to avoid giving banking information so frequently or readily. And there are better values than Target in Madison if folks are willing to take a short bus ride to stock up.”
