“I learned of this exceptional, ethical auto repair shop in Calgary via chatGPT. This shop has excellent mechanical expertise with Honda vehicles as well as other types of autos. I asked Peter to review an extremely costly (multi thousands of dollars) set of serious motor and steering repairs that a franchise in Crowfoot Crossing had created and itemized on my invoice for a SEASONAL Summer Care Package. Peter physically checked each item, and reported that there was no evidence of needed immanent repairs. The other group had even showed me a photo of a spark plug, the base of which was bathed in oil, citing it as evidence of the need for immediate motor work. Peter checked this claim and there was NO OIL in or around any spark plugs. I am deeply grateful for ethical garages like Paz Automotive and I am only too happy to give him 5 Stars for this review. No cell service, hot, dusty, and smoky... as I stood there stupidly looking at the shredded tire, John stopped and said, 'Don't worry- I'm a mechanic' In 3 minutes flat, he had the donut out of my Subaru and installed on the car. John had a car full of kids from camp and a good 4.5 hour drive in front of him. I asked John where his shop was and wrote it down. In November when my vehicle required rather extensive repairs, they were honest and upfront about what was wrong and what needed to be done and it actually ended up being much less than expected (the dealership misdiagnosed) many mechanics try to upsell. They don’t. Just tell you what needs to be done right now, and if it doesn’t need to be done they won’t try to make a sale. Today, when I was driving and my cars exhaust broke off from the muffler I called them and Robin said I could bring it in asap and he can take a look. He ended up fixing it for very fair price and I got it back in less than 4 hours. I also was offered a ride home which was so amazing, and the gentleman who drove me was so nice. Everyone is always so nice and helpful and I really appreciate knowing I have a 10/10 mechanic for my big and small issues for life. Thanks again so much for fitting me in on such short notice!”

“Excellent experience from start to finish. I needed a replacement part for my crossover. He sourced the part, painted it in advance, and installed everything for a very reasonable price. The part fits properly, the paint match looks great, and the installation was careful and clean. When the part was removed, we noticed rust beginning on the reinforcement bar underneath. He took the extra time to wire-brush it, blow away the rust and debris, clean the surface, and apply a rust-preventive coating before installing the new cover. The dealership had quoted me close to $4500 nearly one-quarter of the vehicle’s value. Here, I had the part sourced, painted and installed for just over 1k. My experience is a good reminder to compare dealership estimates with reputable local businesses before approving an expensive repair. A polished dealership environment does not automatically mean better workmanship or better value. Support honest local automotive professionals first. Locally owned, honest, skilled, and reasonably priced. I will definitely return for future car work and would confidently recommend him to others.”
