“I booked The Hermosa Inn at the last minute through HotelTonight and found it to be my favorite expression of a distinctly Arizona hotel. The hand-built adobe architecture, historic character, gorgeous landscaping, and remarkable privacy made it feel like a true desert oasis rather than a generic resort. Learning that the property began as the 1930s home and studio of cowboy artist Lon Megargee made that sense of place even more compelling.
My casita was warm and deeply comfortable, with the fireplaces and patios creating exactly the right Southwestern intimacy. As evening light began to fade, I went for a run through Paradise Valley; the scenery was beautiful, though I also spent part of the run wondering whether a mountain lion might emerge before I made it back. Returning to that quiet room afterward felt especially good.
Before this stay, I had never found the area particularly charming. Hermosa Inn changed that. Its seclusion, gardens, adobe buildings, and personal scale helped me understand why people are so drawn to Arizona, while still offering comfort and character. For an impulsive booking, it proved to be a remarkably memorable discovery and a place I would gladly revisit.”

“I wanted to get out of the hotel chain rut, and man, did that happen with W2nd! The property is a historical beauty, lovingly maintained by owners Kurt and Shauna. The pristine exterior looks like it was when it was newly built in 1906.
The historical charm continues inside, with contemporary/mid century furnishings that make it relatable and homey.
My room maintained the charm with all the modern amenities to make it comfortable.
The property is on a side street, which kept it very quiet.
This weary traveler got a warm innkeeper welcome, and then I had my own space the entire stay. Any questions/requests were only a text message away.
Shauna’s morning breakfast of fruit and homemade scone is something you don’t wanna miss.
It was an experience that stays with you, and supporting a local business makes it even better.
I’m already thinking about a future visit...”

“We came here last minute due to bugs in our previous hotel and were so happy we did. Very good landscaping around the pool and courtyard has resulted is lots of birds and lizards calling it home along with wonderful shade around the perimeter. They have a bar/restaurant that will serve you while you’re outside along with games you can setup and use.
All these bonuses along with clean rooms and friendly staff resulted in a thumbs up from all our family members.
Only downside is it’s a bit outside of town so driving is somewhat necessary to get most places.”

“We came a few days ago from Banff Canada and the service was incredible. We came for the pools and where greeted by Alec who then introduced us to Thomas from guest services was exceptional giving us a tour of the property was defiantly a highlight. The pool bar staff where very nice and friendly too Nadia and Hailey gave us great recommendations in Flagstaff and Sedona. We got the opportunity to eat at Torro as well it was really beautiful being on the golf course as well as our server Joslynn W was incredible. We heard great things about the La Bomba before coming and it did not disappoint. Visiting the Scottsdale Princess was a dream and everyone we met made it incredibly memorable.”
“I exchanged my timeshare to stay here during the last week in December. After a great deal of reflection, I would say I have really mixed feelings about this resort. First the reception staff was very friendly and answered all of my questions when I checked-in. Actually, all the staff was nice here and helpful. They cleaned my unit in the middle of my stay. That was a nice perk. A lot of timeshares don't do that anymore. The location is very convenient to downtown Scottsdale, which is about a mile away. If you have any interest in hiking Camelback Mountain, the Cholla Trail is also a 15 minute walk from the resort. However, I did not like the design of the units and they really need to be updated. There were two beds and a pull-out sofa in the unit. One bed was upstairs like a loft and overlooked the downstairs part of the accommodation The stairs are steep and narrow to get to this bedroom. There is only only bathroom in the entire unit and that is downstairs. If you sleep upstairs then you have go downstairs to do your business. Crazy. However, if you sleep downstairs, you have to go upstairs occasionally because that is where the HVAC control panel is. Okay. The over-sided tubs in the bathroom should be removed and replaced with walk-in shower stalls. The tub is hard to step in and out of and it can be slippery. Water pressure was also very weak in the bathroom.”

“We loved our little room! The grounds are so nice and we had a private back patio. I wasn't sure about the room pour over coffee, but we really enjoyed having it in our room, as we're early riser. It was very quiet and the beds were comfy. You can easily walk to the shops and restaurants in Old Scottsdale so the location is perfect.”

“Our family, with various number of people, for a number of different reasons (business and leisure) have stayed at the Canyon for years. The entire team, starting with Derek has always made our stay an A+++ experience. All of the front staff, bell staff, bar/breakfast staff are all incredible, they know our names, they go above and beyond each stay. Front thin mint smores, to the incredible Canyon pool, and now how incredible the Canyon Villas are; this could not be a better property, and it is indeed the service that makes the difference between this and the other hotels on the property. “We stayed in a Casita. It was spacious for two with a wet bar and mini fridge. Nice patio in front to enjoy the evening. There was a private pool which looked very nice, but we didn't take the time to enjoy it. The resort is located conveniently near numerous restaurants from family friendly, upscale and casual--won't be difficult to find a place everyone can agree to. Kimpton staff were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!”

“Orange tree resort has been very relaxing, great pool, and atmosphere. The only reason we didn’t give 5 stars is upon initial interaction the people checking us in were quite rude, as well as air bnb quoting us $100 for security deposit and being charged $250. They did make it right changing security deposit after the fact to $100, and apologized for our initial interaction upgrading our room to a brand new remodeled unit. Only other complaint would be service and WiFi is horrible, but that could be a plus for iPad kids. I would recommend.”

“I had an issue with the water in my room and brought it up to the front desk. They moved me to a different room right away, but the same issue came up again.
I wasn’t mad about the water at all. Things happen. What stood out was how the team handled it. They took the time to figure out what was going on and made it right. They even comp me which I wasn’t expecting.
The staff here were attentive, professional, and genuinely cared about fixing the issue. That goes a long way.

“I stay here frequently when in town on business. They are always friendly and the surrounding area is perfect for long stays. Restaurants, shopping, Walmart and a Movie theater are all within walking distance or a very short drive. The hotel rooms are slightly dated but remodeling is taking place, even during times of remodeling the staff is super friendly and as accommodating as can be. Would highly recommend.”

“The beach views are phenomenal, wow, the service impleccable , everyone here is just so professional. Smiling faces groomed so nicely. I felt like I was on a movie set. Just so incredible. I worked for another property back in the day in the '90s. It was over in downtown Phoenix on the North side and the whole experience was amazing.
