“This is a very nice and clean Hampton Inn. It's new and the staff is friendly. It's a short walking distance across the parking lot to several places to eat. Was the perfect location for my stay. Would definitely stay there again.”

“Excellent location for access to Arizona Athletic Fields. We stayed here for an ODP tournament and it was convenient. Very quiet and my son loved the pool. Hot tub and fire pit are a nice touch.”

“Nate at the front desk was extremely helpful! Had a little mix up. Got single king when we were supposed to get a double queen. Nate took care of us at no extra cost!”

“I am a Hilton-Hampton loyalist, but was turned onto this location because of their superior reviews and competitive rates. I was so impressed by the consistently friendly front desk staff. This hotel was modern, clean and generally fantastic. Thanks for the stay and for turning me on to Holiday Inn express.”

“Smelled and looked super clean. The room was larger and nicer than I would expect for a holiday inn express. They have a “courtesy van” that is not handicap accessible but was a very nice convenience for me. Most of the staff were super kind and helpful.”

“Fantastic place for travelers. Great rooms, with a large layout. Laundry room (paid) has multiple washers and dryers so there will never be a line. Breakfast is free and has a large selection of freshly cooked hot items. Lobby is also really nice.”

“I had to book a room last minute while on vacation when a family member ended up in the hospital. Upon checking in, I learned I had mistakenly booked a room at the Phoenix Mesa hotel, rather than the Phoenix Mesa EAST hotel. I was offered to switch reservations to this one, but it was going to cost more than I was willing to pay. Kyleigh at the front desk learned of my dilemma and then without me having to ask, worked it out for me to get a room at a better rate, and even allowed me to check-in at 7:00 AM, well before the regular check-in time. I was very grateful to her for her professionalism and compassion for my situation.

The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and walking distance to HonorHealth.

Very pleased with my experience and very glad that Kyleigh was there to provide outstanding customer service!”

“The Hampton Inn and Suites East Mesa is in a prime location for Gilbert. The hotel is the standard Hampton Inn with comfortable beds, functional workspace, good accommodations and amenities. The staff makes the difference between this hotel and others. The staff consistently goes above and beyond to meet needs.
OpenTable show there are over 50 restaurants in close proximity to the hotel with 20+ within walking distance.
If you are in the area, the Hampton Inn in Gilbert is a solid choice.”

“We have stayed in neighboring hotels in the past and while there are similarities, so far the staff has been very kind, helpful and attentive. We had an issue with our reservation, however, the desk clerk was quick to get the issues resolved and friendly. She even did what she could by offering us a bag with bottled waters and cookies as well as got us a little better room. The hotel while not built really recently has been kept up and has an overall feeling of welcoming and belonging. The hot breakfast was delicious with plentiful choices all around.”

“We stayed here one night last week. The manager, Rosendo, was very accommodating of our needs. We paid a $100.00 security deposit and when the room seemed to have a little bit of a smoking smell we called to report it so it couldn't be charged to us. Also, we had a small problem with the volume of the TV and he graciously came to the room to fix it.”

“Amazing location, rooms, and service. When we got kicked out of the nearby Hilton for leaving a poor review, we came here. They gave us water (without us asking) and allowed us to wait in the lobby for our employer to book the room.

The towels smell so good, idk how else to say it. The rooms are really nice, and there is a nice restaurant inside the hotel. Fish and chips are great.

I cannot stress enough how amazing all of the staff is. If it weren’t for the price, I would love to stay here again”

Our plane was late so we didn't check in until 2am. Our room was ready. The receptionist was excellent. Very friendly, efficient and helpful.”

“Everyone was so nice and friendly!! Only know one name, Ashley the bartender and front desk. She was great, but like I said, everyone we came into contact with was very friendly!!”

“My husband and I flew into Phoenix/Mesa late last night for business and stayed one night at the Country Inn & Suites. The hotel is ~ 5 miles from the airport and we were so thankful there was a shuttle! The driver was prompt and nice and didn't talk much (really nice at midnight! LOL)
The Front Desk was pleasant and chatty and checked us right in (she was a bit too chatty for me, but it was late and I was tired).
The room on the 3rd floor was nice enough, but the bed felt lumpy and the pillows were the smallest, little squares ever. The toilet had a lean to the left and there was a death step getting into and out of the shower (watch out!). Ww did have a handicap room (which is fine), but that step out is dangerous - the tub is much higher than the floor. The shower curtain is on its last leg and looks like someone fell getting out of the tub and hung on for dear life!
The shampoo/conditioner/body wash containers threw me and I spent way too long trying to figure them out (you PUSH the front, BTW ?).
There are some other cosmetic issues, but some nice amenities (there's a night light on the hair dryer holder so you don't have to leave the bathroom light on.... that's convenient).
Breakfast was standard, but tasty, and there was a nice variety of items.
All in all, it was a pretty nice place to stay
All in all, it was a nice room”

“Place is being remodeled and so there were only like ten other people in the whole place. The overnight staff (I believe her name is Mindie), is amazing. Very knowledgeable and courteous. I would come here again if I'm going to be in Mesa. Thanks for the great service!”

“TL;DR I'll keep it simple: the staff here is what makes the hotel. Doing more and offering excellent customer service even when the product you're selling may or may not be top shelf.

This property is about as middle of the road as it comes for a U.S. hotel. Suburban location serving the masses and not the million-miler types that expect executive lounges, dedicated check-in areas, etc. It's a place to sleep when you're away from home. I suspect it has always catered to the leisure market given its location as it's in an outlying suburban area near Williams-Gateway airport and shopping.

Rooms are spacious and newly-renovated (at least mine was). Basic amenities included like refrigerator that actually refrigerated and a microwave that actually microwaved.

But where this place really shines is the staff. A huge shout out to David at the front desk. I can't recall a hotel in the U.S. where a front-facing agent was TRULY and purposefully engaged with me. And not in a patronizing or artificial way. His exemplary thoughtfulness and demeanor is to be commended. His other late evening colleagues were just as friendly (can't recall names).”
