304 Carpenteria Rd, AromasOn my recent trip to California, I was told I had to visit Aromas Bar & Grill—and it did not disappoint. Known for its diverse menu blending American and Latin flavors, this spot truly delivers.
I ordered the torta, and I was impressed by its simplicity paired with great flavor. The steak was well-seasoned and perfectly complemented by the buttery toasted bread—absolutely delightful. I also tried the chilaquiles, and it was refreshing to see an authentic Mexican staple made with chile cascabel, giving it a rich and traditional flavor.
We also ordered the crispy buffalo chicken wrap with garlic fries, and for a moment, I thought I was back in Texas—the portion was huge. Definitely something you can share, but you won’t want to.
Service made the experience even better. Our server, Lupita, was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and always checking in to make sure everything was just right.
Located in the heart of the mountains of Aromas, California, this restaurant is a hidden gem. If you’re ever driving from Monterey to San Francisco, this is definitely a stop you don’t want to miss.
